Overall the food was pretty good except for a few minor issues. Some negatives: the rice was a little dry and bland. Not sure what kind of meat was served in the tamale but it was dry. One of our party members ordered a ribeye with shrimp, the ribeye (supposed to be a premium cut of steak) was very thin and tough. This was my first visit and I was super impressed. I am not a huge Mexican food fan but this dish had pablano peppers, mushrooms and a cream sauce over strips of chicken and I loved it!

I have ate at all the Mexican restaurants in Wetumpka after recently moving to the area. Many of them are good but El Patron by far is the best. It is always very clean. The service is fast and friendly! They have a large menu that even includes items for people who do not like Mexican food. My family and I have never had a bad meal here. The portions are large. The flavor and quality is always on point! BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN WETUMPKA!!!!
