“We visited Hot Springs for our anniversary trip early March. We tried to make an itinerary so that we could visit some cool spots while we were here. This was one of our spots and it was an experience. If you want to feel GREAT make sure to stop by for a tour and samples. Their facility is small so the tour is only about 30 minutes. Immediately following the tour we went straight to the samples. The cups were about the size of communion cups...lol. But you get the opportunity to choose which favor(s) you want to try. We tried pineapple, salted caramel, strawberry, and banana creme. They were all pretty tasty but whew!!! Drinking it straight is not for the weak. I think I left there with a few strains of hair on my chest. We were able to try them mixed in drinks and those were really good. We ended up purchasing pineapple. And some of their vodka sodas, which are my favorite!! They have merch that you can purchase as well, which we did... we both got shirts. I heard that locals don't visit...well they are missing out!! This place even has a little bar and sitting area. It's so calm and comfortable in here that you just don't want to leave. Do yourself a favor and make a trip.... and take a tour!!!“

“First, the start of the show. The blueberry scones were devine. 5/5, I could’ve had just an entire meal of those. Next the French toast breakfast. You get so much food!! The French toast itself was yummy, however when I had asked for strawberries added, I didn’t realize I’d get a bunch of juice with them lol. They seemed like they were just thawed frozen berries rather than freshly cut. 3/5 for toast. Sides were good, nothing crazy. 4/5. Overall lovely place for some brunch!“

“In an epoch where the culinary landscape is as barren as the intellect of those who preside over its fast-food kingdoms, it was with a mixture of dread and a secret, perhaps misguided, optimism that I approached the whimsically named "Grateful Head." My expectations were anchored firmly in the low, a defense mechanism against the onslaught of mediocrity I anticipated. Yet, fate, in her infinite jest, decreed that I should be both chastened and charmed during my sojourn.Upon my stately procession into this establishment, I was immediately struck by the setting—a quaint outdoor sanctuary, protected from the caprices of the heavens by a shelter as noble and sturdy as the Forum of Trajan. This foresight proved to be serendipitous as the skies soon unleashed a tempest of hail, each piece as large as a ping pong ball, in a display of meteorological ferocity that could have spelled doom for lesser establishments and their patrons. It was under this dramatic canopy that we dined, attended to by a cadre of waitstaff whose kindness and efficiency were a balm to my oft-troubled soul. Among these paragons of hospitality stood Brittney, whose service was so imbued with genuine warmth and attentiveness that it would not have been amiss in the courts of Byzantium. Her demeanor not only restored a measure of my faith in humanity but elevated the dining experience from mere consumption to a communion of sorts, a sharing of human kindness as nourishing as the repast itself. The pizza, a culinary mainstay so frequently debased in lesser hands, was here elevated to a form of high art. The dough, a canvas of perfect texture and resilience, supported a constellation of ingredients that sang harmonies of flavor. The salad, generous in portion and vibrant in freshness, was a verdant ode to the potential of simple greens when treated with respect and admiration. However, not all tales from this day can be sung with the same gusto. The wings, those fiery messengers of culinary zest, proved too spicy for my constitution, a culinary Icarus flying too close to the sun of capsaicin. Their heat was a challenge, a test of endurance rather than a pleasure, leaving me to ponder the fine line between flavor and folly.Amidst this saga of flavor and meteorological intrigue, two black cats, as enigmatic as they were elegant, graced us with their presence. Keeping a respectful distance, they were like silent guardians of the meal, or perhaps judicious critics of our culinary choices, their sleek forms a reminder of the mysterious and unpredictable nature of life itself. In conclusion, Grateful Head, with its ambrosial offerings and its sanctuary amidst the storm, stands as a testament to the resilience and richness of culinary exploration. It is a place where one can both challenge their palate and find refuge from the tumult of the world, all under the watchful eyes of feline sentinels and the unparalleled kindness of servers like Brittney. Let it be known that despite its trials by fire—or rather, spice—this establishment remains a beacon for those in pursuit of gastronomic delight amidst the chaos of existence.5-stars“

“Our first time at Maxine's was on a Saturday. We arrived around 8:45 PM, the place wasn't packed but there was a sizeable crowd. The first thing that we noticed was the decor. It looks like a blend of lowbrow chaos to someone giving some thought of how the place should look - love it.We ordered 2 cocktails listed in the menu. They were both infused with ginger. Then I ordered a beer while my partner had a white Russian. We also ordered pizza, the Whodunit. It was good but there was a long wait for it. My partner said it was better the next day. I plan on ordering a sandwich the next time.Parking: There are a number of parking options. On a Saturday night, it wasn't too difficult to find street parking near this place. We found a spot about 250 feet away.“

“Despite being apparently short-staffed (no hostess, but you do wait to be seated; only two servers and one bartender all three with tables both inside and out; all three having to run their food and bus their tables) FANTASTIC service ^.^ The girls were hustling, but they were holding it down ❤️‍? God willing they get some support staff because they deserve it and are busy enough to need it, and this is us dining pre spring break, pre eclipse, Sunday dinner! I will say they were out of shrimp and crab cakes, but you can't go wrong with the gumbo and the fried oysters PERFECT amount of black pepper seasoning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?“
