Food and service were okay (hush puppies are hideous), but TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONING!! It's 94 degrees in here -- hotter than 93 outside. I paid $67 for three persons to eat...the least I could get is some air conditioning.!

The prices on their site does not match the actual price. We where disappointed when the online price said 39.99 and when we picked up the food went to 66. They said what we saw was for the white fish but doesnt say anything on the site about white fish just catfish, chicken or mixed family platters. The catfish wasnt very good.

I will never Eat here again, We came here on a Monday round lunch time, We ordered the 2 pc fish special, so before we even got to sit at the table our food was ready. I was like ok that was too fast, I’m a fish lover and I knew right then and there my fish wasn’t going to be good. So wtbs our whole meal was terrible, the fish had brown meat around the edges as if it was old or recooked, the jambalaya was disgusting, my fries was hard and mostly the sharp edged ones. So when we left my boyfriend agreed that the was our first and last time here. The food left a sour taste on our tongue, and later that night my boyfriend got very nauseous and started vomiting. From my experience I would not recommend anyone to eat here, or should I say order their special for the day. (Go to Ron’s or Ed’s. Only if they was open on a Monday)

Stopped at this fish house for dinner and it was just ok. First, they have 2 options for fried fish. The first, cheaper option is imported or swai, which is a Vietnamese catfish. It's not bad and has a mild flavor. The second, more expensive options is U.S. raised catfish. The price difference between the two is about 40% ($9.99 for a 2 piece vs $13.99 for a 2 piece). Got okra and cole slaw for the sides on one plate and fries and macaroni and cheese on the other. The sides were ok, the best one was the okra. The restaurant was also very warm on the inside which made it somewhat uncomfortable dining in. Overall, it's not horrible but I'd rather go to Ron's or Ed's personally.

Good food. Came out quickly. Catfish is great. Shrimp is a frozen, prebreaded version, but tastes okay. Fries are great. Onion rings okay. Fried okra & Cole slaw both great. Stuffed crab not bad, but not much crab meat detected. Hushpuppies are pretty good. Overall great place to eat and reasonably priced. Not a fancy place. Just good food. Order at the counter, sit, & food is brought to your table.

The guy taking our order were the only thing good at this place. The fish was salty and hard hushpuppies we're burned and dry. The fries were way over done (burned). Cole slaw was awful tasted like cleaner. Never been so disappointed and not to mention there prices are kind of high for food that wasn't fresh or edible.

Just don't do it. I ordered fish and got chicken tenders. Even then the chicken was about as bland as it gets. My friend ordered a cheese burger with no onions, and well, that is what she got....nothing on it but cheese. Had to ask for them to bring some other toppings out to her. Some areas could be cleaned better and while there (can't believe I stayed to try to eat the food, actually) a couple of guys came in and sat down in a booth that hadn't even been cleaned by staff yet. It was lunch time and not very busy, honestly, but since it appears that customers bus their own tables, there was no indication for the new folks to know the table hadn't been wiped down yet. Take a chance if you like, I hear the fish is good but didn't really get a chance to try it.

The catfish and white fish were good. So were the side items such as baked potato, jambalaya and okra. Service was fast. The hush puppies need work. They were almost flavorless.

Awesome lunch today. Murdock's always delivers. Little expensive but really good.

WAY THE HECK OVERCOOKED CATFISH! There was VERY little edible fish in the fillet. The price was shocking enough, having the choice between REAL catfish & NOT QUITE catfish was hilarious to me. I mean, are you Murdock's Catfish, or are you Murdock's Not Quite Catfish? Both options were way overpriced, COVID or not, ESPECIALLY when you get it home to find that out of a THREE piece of the REAL catfish, you only end up with ONE fillet worth of edible catfish!! Won't be going back. Ron's Catfish, here I come!

Was here to move family into town. Stopped by on a recommendation. Was very pleased with the staff and food. Had the fried catfish and fries. Was some of the better fish around. Lightly fried batter. Cooked as it should be. Will be back on the next visit.

No just no..... My dad and I were the only customers in Murdock's Catfish. Our fish came out before we even were able to get our drinks. Wasted $25. Tried a couple of bites and threw it away.

Love The Variety Of Food, It's Always Fresh And Delicious. Reason Two, They Have Most Of The Foods I Grew Up With In The Deep South, And Prepared The The Same Way My Parents & Neighbors Did. Have The Best Hush Puppies That's Good Enough To Eat Alone!

We really enjoyed our catfish. It also came with onions, pickles, hushpuppies and tarter sauce which was a plus. The sides we had were good. The mac n cheese was my favorite. The baked beans were nice and sweet, okra was nice and crispy, the jambalaya was seasoned well and the fries were good. The only side I ddidnt think was the best was the onion rings. They were very greasy. The staff was very friendly. They even offered to get us silverware when we were supposed to pick it up ourselves. They had desserts too that looked yummy. We will be back.
