I was in at very busy lunch hour, but a woman stàff member was very kind to go over menu questions with me, as it was only my second there.I had Tuna salad plate with fruit & twice baked potato. Also Pecan square for dessert. The soup in my photo was mine from home. Everything from Jimmy's was delicious!

ALWAYS ASK FOR RECEIPT! After paying, my wife was asked if she wanted receipt and she said no. Cashier had a handheld device, turned around and punched a few things. She went to car and checked her account only to notice she was charged for a tip! I (husband) called and they confirmed a tip was added without permission. I said that was theft and worker hung up on me. Called back, hung up on again. Called back and was told owner would call me. Crickets. I’ve been to this business many, many times. I’m disgusted by this and hope this has not happened to others.****UPDATE**** I did talk to owner and he assured me it was a mistake. It may have been but still not a bad idea to always check your receipt.

We have been here occasionally for years, and the service has always been cheerful and efficient, the food very good, and the atmosphere lively with conversation.Some might be intimidated by the "serious" moniker, but I think it conveys that the quality is important.We recently got some takeout food, and the sandwiches were packed in lovely paper boxes with the sides and some waxed paper making it easy to eat on the go. We also served ourselves iced tea to go.The only downside I can imagine is the turns getting into and out of the parking area are tight and close to the entrance. Watch for pedestrians and vehicles! But it's a good reminder to slow down and enjoy the good and easily visible restaurant in a quaint neighborhood across from War Memorial Park.

Food continues to decline. Today the lobby wasn't open however the managers kids and girlfriend were in there. Items on my sandwich missing. Stale bread. Wont be using this location again. I advise you find a different location

*THEY DON’T WANT YOUR MONEY*I am quite upset, as I’ve gone to this establishment quite a few times since my youth. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and soup, something I’ve done many times before, and I was told I wouldn’t be able to be served that because I was not 12 and under.How come this establishment can’t make a simple sandwich for a customer and instead of viewing it as a child’s item, make the cost of the sandwich and the soup separate for an adult. The person attending to me even mocked my age. I certainly will never come here again. That was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant: being told I couldn’t order something because the person thought it to be juvenile and made a remark about my current age.

The food was fresh, delicious and Hardy. The owner took the orders and he was so friendly as if I'd known him my whole life. He went WAY above and beyond to help me with my dietary needs. You should eat here because it is one of a kind, a local business, great food and a lovely hard-working staff. Everyone seemed passionate (a strong word, but true) about quality and service. A+
