“Stopped into this place on the way home from Sedona on a recommendation. Did not disappoint. We had our dog with us and couldn't go inside but the patio was sufficient. It was cold/rainy the day we came in so not ideal but it worked.Staff was super friendly and we were able to get our order in quickly. Even ordered a burger for the dog which was a neat option they have. We ordered a wide variety of items including a breakfast burger, mushroom/swiss, chicken sandwich, and fries/onion rings.Food came out quick and was cooked really well. The personalized burger buns were a nice touch. Bloody Mary was excellent and the whole atmosphere was fun. Would definitely recommend if in the area.“

“This was quite a surprise find! We loved all of the smoked meats- hard to choose a favorite. I would recommend trying the sampler platter. Any leftovers are great in a breakfast burrito or as toppings on a homemade pizza. We’ll happily come again when we are in the area on future travels. Keep up making the exceptional menu.“

“We were looking to grab a drink after hiking the Jail Trail and came across this bar in downtown Cottonwood. The State Bar is an all-Arizona beer and wine bar. They have a good selection of local beers, ciders, mead and wine on tap. State Bar is located between Bocce Pizzeria and Burning Tree Cellars. They have a indoor bar area and an outdoor patio with tables, heaters and patio games. They also have live music on occasional evenings. I love the chill vibe here. “Stopped on the way from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon and loved the food and staff so much that we stopped on the way back. Everything was very good. Tacos with a lot of protein, enchiladas, fajitas; we tried many things on the menu and nothing was less than delicious.“

“Nice dive bar! Beer was super cheap and bartenders were cool. Really enjoyed the outside area consisting of corn hole, fire pits, games, etc. Really unique. Wish it was a little busier for a Saturday night but you can definitely tell the locals apart from the tourists haha. Regardless, we felt welcomed.“

“I almost don't want to give a review as to be selfish and keep this gem to myself. For starters, our server was amazing. She was so personable and gave great suggestions. We ordered an antipasto salad that was so delectable with fresh veggies and meat. Then we ordered the pizza special and after living in Italy for 3 years, this pizza has been the closest I've had to true Italian pizza since leaving. We had the green apple martini with blackberry infused liqueur and it was so good. I never would have thought to put those ingredients together. I spoke with the manager upon leaving to let him know my thoughts on how wonderful this restaurant is and I've told several friends to visit. We will be stopping in EVERY time we are near Cottonwood.“

“This place is phenomenal. Good prices, clean atmosphere, and great clientele. We had an absolute blast here, from what I can remember lol Bartender was great and their cooler is a relic from the past that still works like a dream. They don't make ''em like that anymore! They also have a patio out back with plenty of seating. I highly recommend this spot if you want to drink with the locals and have a really good time.“
