Do not get the quesadilla. Other dishes are mostly good. Also check the tableware. Old dried out food was on both of my sets including napkins. The place does have a nice vibe but cocktails are only sophistication wannabe; just stick to the beer.

Really my only complaint was a sticky bar top and dirty glasses (both hanging and used for our drinks.I always try to disclose I am in the industry, mostly because I see things not everyone else might see.Friendly bartender, but a bit sloppy as the drinks were prepared were wet on the outside with a bit of tackiness from sugar.The Happy Hour food was good. 2.50$ tacos!We will be back
Honestly wasn't impressed by the food! Meat for our tacos was rough and chewy, shrimp was mushy, and no flavor!  Overall the food was disappointing. Definitely expected more. For the price we paid for the meal...not worth it!

46/person. With 80F the patio is the right place to be...!!! I order an Award winner!! "La cochinita", but that was a high expectation...with low tasty result. The plate looks good and a big plate but all flat taste -if that was an award winner I honestly don't want to try something else here-. Just the Agua de Jamaica and Agua de Horchata were ok for the expectation. So if u want to come to watch a game and have some drinks it may be ok... definitely won't come back.

My son was visiting me and wanted Mexican food. I suggested Barrio Queen since it is near my home. It took a minute to seat us which was no a big deal, although we were the only ones waiting. What happened next was so disrespectful. Once we were seated the waiter for our table motioned to the girl who seated us to switch with him. Then he said out loud in earshot of my son "Black people don't usually tip well". Of course, that upset my son and it should have. We decided to leave at that point. Why would I spend my money at a place that hires people with that mentality?

The food is delicious and unique however the service is garbage. I have been here twice (both times the restaurant was at half capacity) and each time it had taken an hour to receive the food, with barely any check ins. This wouldn't be such a problem if the appetizers had come out before the food. Instead, I had chips and salsa for dinner and boxed my food to go. Kudos to the chef because if it weren't for them this place would not be worth eating at. The chef did a great job of blending flavors and creating a unique and inciting spin off of the typical Mexican food. I will only be ordering online from now on.
