The restaurant, located in a food court inside Mekong Plaza, offers authentic and harder-to-find Vietnamese dishes and desserts. Previously Hue Gourmet, most dishes are still the same but the price had gone up quite a bit. The bánh ướt thịt nướng features thinly sliced, soy sauce–marinated pork that is sweet and savory, balanced with large rice noodle sheets and fresh vegetables, with fish sauce adding depth and spiciness. The bánh canh cua has a thick, well-seasoned broth with flavors of seafood, chives, onions, and fresh coriander, plus a unique, peppery nutmeg flavor from annatto oil, though there is not very much crab meat. The bun mam (fermented fish noodle soup) is excellent and highly recommended, while the bun thit nuong (vermicelli with bbq pork) has good lemongrass flavor and very juicy, tender pork. The bahn xeo is turmeric infused crepe flour fried in coconut oil with shrimp, pork belly, and bean sprouts, best eaten as a lettuce wrap with Thai basil and pickled carrots. Everything, including the passion fruit juice, is delicious. The service is friendly and fast.
