I had Katsu on my list for a few months and finally had a chance to try it. When we arrived, I was surprised because I had no idea it was located within or attached to an Asian grocery store along with other restaurants. I don't usually dine at these restaurants because it reminds me of mall food. I thought about leaving, but decided to give it a try. We initially ordered a bulgogi burrito, but they said they don't make those anymore. I'm surprised because it seemed like a popular item according to Yelp reviews and photos. So we decided on Bulgogi Omerice instead. Next best thing, right? We also ordered Pork Katsu and Cheese Pork Katsu. The Pork Katsu was a nice size with good thickness. The ratio of breading to pork was on point. The pork was juicy. But I did not care for the sauce. I expected a curry sauce, but it turned out to be a sweet, perhaps doctored tonkatsu sauce. I would've been happy with a plain tonkatsu sauce. The sauce was too sweet for my liking. The Cheese Pork Tonkatsu was disappointing. Only four pieces (forgot pic) which was about half the portion of a regular pork tonkatsu for $13.99, $2.00 more. Go figure! My son had to go to Asiana Kitchen across from Katsu to order fried chicken because he was still hungry! The Ome-rice was probably the best of the three. It had the same sweet sauce as with the tonkatsu, but paired well with it. My wife and son agreed. So should I have walked away from the start? Probably! But at least I know now what to expect.

Do you believe that if a restaurant specializes in one thing, they must do it really well? If you do, visit Katsu and let it change your mind. I had the worst pork katsu in my life. The meat was thin, dry, tough, and truly inedible. I expected no Isen Honten quality but this is way worse than $5 stale katsu I once got from a mediocre food cart on the east coast. Give this place a try if you like getting the roof of your mouth scraped. Otherwise, drive a few blocks over to Maisen Katsu at H Mart where you can have katsu that is 1250% more tender.

I should have taken a photo of my meal to show how bad it was. I can honestly say it was THE WORST Pork Katsu I've ever had in 60 years of my life. It looked nothing like what was on the menu board. It was thin, dry, HARD, and looked and tasted like a raw hide. I bet it was frozen after breading was put on. They did not use Panko, little chips of 'bread crumb' was hard as rock, that roof of my mouth is all scraped up. Even my high school cafeteria food tasted better than this after sitting out all day long. My jaw still hurts after eating it. I should have returned it and demand for my money back... better yet, I should have checked the recent reviews before ordering. I WILL NEVER EVER go back to this place.

Protip: Tonkatsu is just ok, but the other menu items look really inticing Highlights: I enjoyed the sides though especially the radish that was a little spicy. I'm definitely interested in ordering from here again, but I'll likely try something else like the omurice. Lowlights: I've eaten a lot of tonkatsu, so I thought this one was just ok.

This satisfied my craving for katsu! Very good food. Made me feel as if I was in WA again. FYI- This is inside of the Asian food market.

Oh my yum - the Kim Chi Pasta is so creamy and tasty, and unlike anything I've eaten in our Korean restaurants back home. It reminds me of pasta dishes I ate at yōshoku (洋食) restaurants in Japan. I was also surprised to see that they had Mentaiko pasta on the menus posted here on Yelp, but didn't see that offered when we visited in late June. That's not a typical offering in the US, but a very common pasta when I was in Asia.

I usually enjoy this place and would really like to leave a positive review, but I am not happy with my last order. I usually get a cheese katsu, which comes with a full pork cutlet, but this time I received less than a half of it, only four pieces for $15. I have been trying to call them and they are not responding, if I have this issue resolved I'd be glad to remove this review.

The chicken katsu is great every time! A salad rice and soup on the side make it well balanced.

Recently changed their menu after they were bought out by the sushi place that now also owns bbob next door. No more bulgogi French fries or burrito or tacos. No more ssams as well. I believe they also did away with a few of their pastas as well. Too bad really enjoyed their food.

Excellent food for the price. The service is great and the food taste really good. I ate the Kimchi pasta and the flavor was great. I have tried other thinks like their version of tacos that are good and of course the Katsu. Like I said the food is excellent and you should give itva try.

Fast & friendly service. Ordered #1 and #9 from the menu, large portion, reasonable price, and they’re delicious.

Ordered Pork Katsu and Hamburger Steak to try this place. Long sentences for short, total waste of money! I have never seen $12.99 Katsu and $13.99 Hamburger steak served this poorly. For katsu, I thought only the half portion came out. I don't know who the chef is but honestly it was an insult to the fame of Pork Katsu and Hamburger Steak menus. Never going back, definitely not recommending.
