10/10 Recommend!!There are a few tables inside and outside If you would like to dine in or you can grab it to go, and you can even get it delivered!I’ve done it all!! And I typically do it weekly! Food was delicious. My husband loved the caldo. My dad and I got chimis. Mine green chile , my dad’s was red with chicken. The salsa was good and the guy running the register was really helpful and personable. Knew the menu well and recommended the green chile chimi for me and read my husband perfectly with the the green chili plate with soup. . Chips and salsa were good too. Would definitely return.

After recently finding out that our lifelong fav Mexican restaurant had opened in a new location in the East Valley-Mesa we decide to search it out and go for lunch. We walked into Matta’s and it took us back 25yrs to the old original restaurant in downtown Mesa. The smells were the same and the new clean fresh atmosphere was welcoming as was the young man who helped us.
