Such a unique concept! Whenever we travel to Payson, we always stop in for a meatball sub. That and Old County Inn are the two requests my husband makes whenever we travel from Texas. The meatballs are so flavorful! I also love the bread they use for the sandwich. It is sturdy and holds up to all the sauce and cheese. Yet it is still delicious! They have a small menu, but that's because what they do, they do well! Not a bunch of mediocre dishes. The owner, Brett, is so friendly as well. I had the opportunity to chat with him on my visit, and he is passionate about his business.Parking: Located next to safeway and other businesses in a strip mall. Plenty of parking available.

Good spaghetti to go, a simple fast dinner for busy nights. Not a lot of choices but the food is solid and dependable

If you're craving spaghetti with red sauce, meatballs, and garlic bread for a fast and easy meal you've come to the right place. By the Bucket serves pasta, well, by the bucket. The portion sizes are for 1, 2, or 5 people with the option to add on meatballs. We got the 1 person bucket with 2 meatballs to share since we had a big lunch and weren't super hungry. Split between two adults and a kiddo the portions were just right. The sauce was plentiful and the pasta was cooked slightly beyond al dente. The meatballs were sizeable, dense in texture, and well seasoned. The bread was wrapped in foil and had lightly crispy edges with a soft interior. Overall it's a decent and affordable option for a family meal.

The sauce is excellent, well seasoned and delicious. Meatballs are delectable and garlic bread is scrumptious.

The owner is very outspoken on social media about his hatred of the LGBTQ community. He attempted to organize efforts to protest the local Pride Event and used defamatory and inappropriate language. The food is ok. My family are Italian Americans who own Italian delis and restaurants in Chicago and this is the Subway of Italian food.

Spaghetti really wasn't very good but service was friendly. Even my 6 year old wouldn't eat the garlic bread.

We were kind of bummed that there’s no Italian food in payson until tonight! We didn’t quite know what to think but decided to give it a shot and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We got the spaghetti and meatballs and the garlic bread and grabbed a bottle of wine from next door. It was a delicious hot Italian meal that we didn’t have to prepare. What a great and super simple idea! This will be in our regular rotation. Our dogs enjoyed their spaghetti dinner as well and everyone was happy!

The quality of the food is as cheap as you can get.Nothing is fresh, it's all cheap 'restaurant' slop the owner buys by the bucket in Phoenix Valley at big restaurant suppliers, at Walmart, you name it.Owner is a rude rude rude rude bully.Would not support this place if it was the last place in town!!Seriously.Pass this one by.There are much nicer people that own restaurants that need your support, and places that offer much better quality food.If you don't care about yourself or where you money goes and just want a cheap place to pig out, this is the place. If you want to have some measure of class in where you go for food, go somewhere else.

I had the pleasure of trying "By the Bucket" spaghetti, and it was an absolute delight! The concept of serving spaghetti in buckets is unique and fun. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was rich and savory. The generous portion size in the bucket was great value for the price. The casual atmosphere and friendly service made for a relaxed dining experience. I'll definitely be back for more of their delicious bucket spaghetti!
