Yummyyyy, I love coming here for a taste of home. I’m originally from the east coast and grew up in a Puerto Rican community where all the goods taste just like they do here, it’s so hard to come by PR restaurants and so lucky to have found Phoenix Coqui !!

Being from NY you have access to all foods and this is the only place I found and literally visited shortly after realizing it existed. It definitely tasted like a home cooked meal at titi's house. It did not disappoint. The food was plenty for the money you can eat at least 2 meals from it. Only difference where I'm from they serve you with real dishes here if you stay it's Styrofoam. I ordered the peril dish with rice & gondules. The meat flavorful moist and juicy. The rice was perfect ! Flavorful as well! I took the fried pork dish with white rice and kidneys beans to go. Being that I'm 40 minutes away. I'll be back with friends!

?? I have eaten here multiple times since they moved from 7th Ave.. The food is not bad. The mofongos are delicious. It only needs a few things to make it feel 100% authentic, THE MOFONGOS LACK BROTHS. If you order a mofongo with fried meat here, it comes dry. In Puerto Rico, mofongo is served WITH broth, salad, and protein (shrimp, chicken dumplings, fish, etc.) The beans, aguaditas, have to thicken the broth of the bean stew. Rice with pigeon peas needs either more pigeon peas, or adding more water so that the rice doesn't look blind, because if not, it should be called yellow rice. (Will edit 5⭐️ once we order again and find the caldito with the mofongos)

Just ate at this restaurant for the second time and it was better then the first time. I’m Puerto Rican and it is by far one of the best tasting Puerto Rican restaurants I’ve eaten at. This is definitely a must go to for anyone who loves authentic Puerto Rican food.
¡Que Rico!Sabor.✅️The rice was done right!✅️The chicken was juicy✅️The empanadilla was crispy and juicy definitely homemade✅️ Finished up with heading de coco.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
