Zero confidence in the drive up program. I was given substitutions that were not relevant to the item. I was told items were out of stock, but were actually available in store.

Was treated horribly here. I felt like I was not welcomed as a black woman walking around looking for groceries. Just hard to explain racism. Wouldn't recommend this location even if no other options. I'd rather go towards Thomas road or Scottsdale. Just beware.

Shopped this evening at 8:00. There were three young ladies standing around one cash register (all employees - around the same age) doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except giggling, talking about vomit and gossiping about a customer. All the while, three customers went to the lone male cashier (Missel) because he was the only one working. The light was on at the register where the 3 girls were but clearly they were not interested in assisting anyone by checking us out so we all stood in line at the only register where someone was actually working. Prior to getting in the check out line I noticed what appeared to be a manager (heavy set guy with 2 tone hair) standing at the register talking with them. They were clearly flirting with him and playing a game that all young girls know so well - "make him think I like him so I can get away with anything I want". Someone over the age of 30 needs to get involved in managing this store - at least in the evenings. It sure looked like the inmates were running the prison tonight. Nice job they have, getting paid to just stand around and gossip.

Normally, this is my Safeway of choice. However, this morning there was only one employee in the self checkout lane. Ready and willing to train me how to check myself out. With no employee discount! No, thank you. I left my cart of groceries there for them to restock. And I am going to a different grocery store now. I will try this store again, but I will always check to make sure that there are Safeway employees ready to check me out because that's what I'm paying for when I buy my groceries. No I don't want to learn the code for fruits and vegetables.

I just come for the bakery goods. WHO PISSED OFF THE PASTRY CHEF? Damn the cupcakes look like shxt now . Y'all gotta do better . Especially charging damn near 10$ for a box . Wtf is this ?

Clean and organized every time I have gone in here. It's been a much more enjoyable shopping experience here than Fry's on 44th/Thomas since I decided to change over due to the nicer area it is in.

I went grocery shopping today at Safeway Grocery at Indian School Rd and Arcadia St. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!First of all the cashier overcharged me by scanning the single loaf of bread twice. Then she kept scanning the ribs I hate that were on sale with a coupon I received in the mail. No matter how many she times she scanned the coupon the price would not adjust. So she sent me to Customer Service where I encountered an incredibly rude man who was insistent I had selected the wrong ribs...okay, I guess I'm stupid since he inferred that. I ask him him to just refund that off my receipt. He did but not without a nasty attitude! I got home and unloaded the groceries to find that the asparagus and celery I had paid for did not get added to my cart. IHAD TO MAKE A SECOND TRIP BACK REEGARDING THE OVERCHARGED BREAD AND GET THE CELERY AND ASPARAGUS TO FACE THE SAME MORON IN CUSTOMER WHO BERATED ME EARLIER! As I am walking to my car I notice the cart young man and told him there is a cart missing a wheel in there and it should be taken out of service. He proceeded to tell me, "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, YOU'RE PISSING ME OFF!" I'm appalled that I spent over $200 there to put up with the attitude and verbal abuse!If you are wise you should NEVER go to this store!

Higher prices that Fry's and you have to pack your own groceries. Cashiers won't bag groceries and they shouldn't. If they don't then who, mangers just stand around.

Grabbed a donut at this store today while shopping. I hadn't had lunch so I was munching it. I know I shouldn't have but I was hungry. Bakery clerk, self checkout lead and shift manager went all James Bond on me as I was paying for my items, including said donut. Congrats for making me feel like a criminal over a 69 cent bulk donut. Civilization is saved!

Safeway in upscale Arcadia that is well stocked and organized. Customers and staff are nice. There is a Starbucks inside with great service by Colin.Recommended above average Safeway.

Short bigger guy with beard in the deli is horrible. Made the worst deli sandwich ever. I took one bite and threw it away. He put a huge handful of pepperoncini's that made the sandwich soggy. He had no personality and didnt speak, just a blank stare. After getting the sandwich, I said thanks have a good day and he just stared at me. No smile no nothing. Guess that is normal now a days, customer service no longer exists.

Been a Safeway shopper for decades. I find the store is always clean and well stocked. Some employees are nicer than others. I have seen employees come and go. I need to compliment Karla. My basket was full and as a elderly shopper was having a rough time in self service. Karla placed my groceries on the check out counter, scanned them, the sale items were listed on my receipt. Bagged my grocery's the best they have ever been bagged at any store. Karla, went above and beyond to help a elderly customer Karla has always been courteous and friendly. Thanks to Karla that I feel is such a great employee one of the best part of Safeway. Also the customer are nice also.

Completely awful service. For contacts I just turned 21 however I haven't been able to get my ID renewed because of the ongoing pandemic. But it seems that these employees don't care about my health or the fact that I have an autoimmune disorder which I explain to them when I tried to purchase alcohol. Instead they double charged my order and didn't remove the item in question even though it was a can of twisted tea. Complete morons. Especially Kara. Going shopping is already a risk to my health, and I will not be treated this way by employees who don't care.
