Very disappointing. When you walk in there's a big board that tells you how to order. One of the steps is to get a menu. They were not at the sign and finally someone had to show us where they were. They have two options to order. Wait in a line and then they call your name. But you have to retrieve your food and wait at the bar to order if you want a beer. There is full service seating if you want to call it that in the bar but the bartender struggled to service the bar and the tables. The full service tables are jammed so close you can barely scoot your chair out to get into your seat and I am not a large guy. I ordered the large platter to try the lean and rich (fattier) Brisket. Not moist, served on an aluminum tray on wax type paper that eventually promises wax paper with every bite. For some odd reason you get one piece of white bread , no butter just a piece of white bread that is dry and tasteless. The Mac and Cheese is not worthy of even 1 star. Served in a plastic container that clearly was pre-made and barely heated up. The Mac and Cheese was not creamy, and just a big dried out clump of goo. We will not be back and will tell our friends to avoid this place. I Lastly I asked my server if the smokers were gas, electric or wood and she had no clue and had to find a cook to tell her. I would suggest that Colt Grill Owners visit Little Miss BBQ and see there streamlined process and try there Brisket.

The staff should be ashamed of their behavior and prejudice against my friend. He left defeated and embarrassed. What kind of establishment treats their customers this way!? Let me tell you..the kind that comes back and calls you a liar and threatens legal action for your honest review on Yelp. The Owner/Management is extremely defensive and quick to place the blame back on the customer. Claiming cameras saw something different. Never experienced anything like this.

Saw the reviews for this place and was excited to go check it out for the first time. When I walked in I was greeted with a monotoned hey and asked if I had been here before, Then given the basic rundown on how it works. Sat at the bar and was yet again greeted by a basic what can I get you. No enthusiasm when interacting. Food was the only good thing about my experience, Service was non existent. Didnt even get asked if everything turned out okay, nor did I receive any suggestive selling on drinks or other menu options. Only time I got asked a question about my food is when I was checking out and Dani asked if something was wrong with the beer because I didnt finish it. Overall the service definitely ruined the first impression for this place. Staff shows the bare minimum when interacting with customers in my opinion. Maybe I just picked the wrong location but wouldn’t come back to this specific one.

We stopped in to put in a carryout order. The vibe inside was great, the smells were AMAZING, and the service was friendly and fast. The brisket was good and mac and cheese was my favorite restaurant mac that I've had to date- although, I was skeptical when looking at it. It's served in a loaf style piece. At first glance, I thought it was for sure going to be dry. I'm happy to report, it was not at all dry and loaded with flavor. The ribs, however, were extremely dry. As in, the kind of dry that you need a sip of water to swallow it with and alters the taste and texture of the meat so bad that it no longer tastes like ribs. If that had been the only thing we'd have tried, I would've never went back to this establishment for a second time. That being said, we'll be back if we're ever in the area, but will avoid the ribs.

This is the third time we've visited Colt Grill in Prescott(2023). The first two times were amazing. We couldn't wait to get back. This time was a little different. The wife and I both had Baby Back ribs for lunch. They were good, but nothing special. Just average. They don't have a combo pare of ribs and brisket. You have to order them separate at full price for each entree. Some combo plates would be nice. Service ? You place your order at the counter and they call your number so you can go pick it up. We never had a server come to our table, yet they expect you to tip at the cash register. The venue is nice. We sat outside on the patio with the dog. Their patio is dog friendly. I'm not sure what changed between this time last year and now. But it's just not the same outstanding BBQ it used to be. And they need to get rid of the request for tips at the register on their point of sale.Update(2024) This time my 2 buddies and I went in for lunch and sat at the bar. Jessica, the bartender was very fun and personable. She took out food and drink orders. The food came out quickly and was tasty. An improvement from last year.
