Who went to this place on a Groupon hoping to find something new and delicious. The million dollar tacos are really cute but you would definitely need a million dollars to fill up on these tacos. The rest of the meal was pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. I would go back here but only if I had a Groupon. This reflects service and meal in 2020 prior to Covid

Great outdoor seating area and sangria. Service seriously lacking and both steak and salmon overcooked and dry. Sent first salmon back it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Second one came 20 minutes later, so late my husband was finished with his meal. The timing of the entire serving of the meal was off.Complained to manager who did not offer to take the entree off. $100 meal and VERY unimpressed. I also saw that management had seriously slammed a previous negative google review, calling the "costumer" unprofessional for posting on social media-in 5th grade language.He'd better get used to it; businesses live and die by Yelp and Google reviews and management should apologize for a negative experience and state they will do better, not denigrate their patrons. Diners are not expected to be "professional ", but businesses are. This restaurant is VERY unprofessional!!! Stay far away!

My husband and I went to dinner here as a wedding celebration. Everything was perfect from the ambiance, service, and food. All of the ceviches are to die for!

The 4 stars go mostly to the perfectly cooked salmon. I peeled the skin (along with the green topping), and was able to see it was a perfect medium. The flavor was good, the only memorable notes were olive, and a tad bit of dill. The pine nuts gave the dish a nice bite. Did I mention how perfectly the salmon was cooked? It was. The pasta was also cooked correctly, not soft and overcooked. The dessert, a chocolate cigar and an espresso cocoa panna cotta (I think). I had been fasting sugar, but broke for this. I enjoyed it, but under normal circumstances, it might have been too sweet for me. It was very rich. Overall, there was approx 14 people in our reservation, which was business related, and I made it almost a month prior. This wasn't the easiest reservation, and once our party exceeded 12 we were held to a prix-fix menu (not our preference). That said, the menu was good (attendees did say they enjoyed it). The service was acceptable, but diligently worked to keep our party moving. Long story short, Deseo has some potential. The kitchen is the star. Thank you Chef, & Team. In my days on the floor, I've covered many parties, and I hold high standards. I would eat at Deseo again under different circumstances. I would suggest you visit and form your own opinion.

Wonderful dining experience again. Excellent menu choices and a wine selection devoted to South America. Perfect opportunity to explore new wines. I highly recommend the wine flights option. We make a point of dining at deseo every time we are in Scottsdale.
Valentines dinner ! I’ve been at the restaurant before and the food is still top notch ! There are no places like this in Scottsdale or Phoenix . Miami Beach or Las Vegas top chefs kind of restaurant. My favorite food so far in Scottsdale! Service was also great !

Some of the food here was amazing, but some dishes were fairly mediocre, and all felt over priced. For a similar style of Asian-South American fusion, check out Sumomaya. It's similarly priced, but the food is way better.

This was our first visit to Deseo, walking in we were impressed at the warm and beautiful ambiance. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. But it went downhill from there. The apple salad was fresh but average, the lobster tacos were very small and a bit mushy, the shrimp chicharron was too dry. The best thing were the dinner rolls.

We went here for a date night and it was one of the best places we’ve been! Worth the drive. Our server was Lindsey and she was so knowledgeable and spent a significant amount of time answering all the questions we had and giving recommendations. The southwest flair on the menu was so fun. Our favorite was the millionaire tacos and the fun cigar-shaped dessert! Lindsey had information on all the different wines and what they pair well with. She also gave us the recommendation to try the pisco sour which took me right back to my time in Peru! It was easy to see that the servers and kitchen staff care about their jobs and take the time to make sure each table is cared for and happy! The ambience was so romantic and peaceful. We sat right by the window and got a great view of the beautiful resort outside. We will definitely be coming back for our next special occasion and will be requesting Lindsey as our server!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Deseo last Saturday. The manager and staff did an amazing job taking care of us and making it special for my wife and I. We will go again and would recommend Deseo to anyone and not just for special occasions.
