Best bakery I have been to in Scottsdale. Everything was perfect - food (and the options), coffee, service. The owner has hired the right people, who seem happy to be there and make an effort to help and answer any questions, which was very refreshing to see.

If you're craving an authentic taste of Paris right in the heart of Scottsdale, look no further than JL Patisserie . From the moment we step through the charming doors, we’re transported to the bustling streets of Paris. The aroma of freshly baked croissants and pies greets us warmly, promising a culinary experience like no other. Each pastry is a work of art, meticulously crafted with care and precision.I highly recommend starting your day with one of their classic croissants. Crisp on the outside, yet light and fluffy on the inside, it's the epitome of perfection. Pair it with a creamy café au lait for the ultimate French breakfast experience. For something heartier, their deserts is simply divine. The buttery crust gives way to a rich, flavorful filling that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight.

My cinnamon roll was soft only on the inside and way to hard on the outside. The ham and cheese croissant was a joke- only a sliver of cheese and ham. Just sell the croissant by itself. Its been a hit or miss everytime I go

Best bread and pastries I've ever had! Great for stopping by but also ordering ahead. Quiche is delicious as well as cakes and pies! A must try!

The cleanness is concerning - saw few flies around the bakeries and told the server who doesn’t seem to care. The coffee is good though.

I have been enjoying JL in both locations for two years now. It is an absolute must if you enjoy well-made pastries and cakes. I’ve read the one-star reviews to date here and simply do not believe them. They in no way reflect any experience I’ve ever had at JL. I’ve lived in Paris and Zurich and have had the best from the best. Jenna and her bakers are absolutely up to that standard. The only minor shortcoming is the “strip mall” vibe… but that’s the US food culture and not JL. If they ran a fancy tea room I’d never leave. 100% go there. Try both their savory and sweet items. Get a quiche and try a loaf of their spelt loaf. And take home some of their frozen ready-to-bake croissant dough. We just love this place!

A fun, local, delicious bakery. They specialize in sweets, but have some good savory options, too. I went for the baguette, and was extremely tempted by all of the sweets, but my wife is the sweets lover, and she is on vacation out of state.the service/weight staff were very friendly, and efficient. They have seating outside, looking into a parking lot, so the atmosphere isn’t too great. Still, my baguette was super delicious – crusty, flavorful, great crumb!

We ordered a couple custom wedding cakes and a small macaron tower. The cakes were amazing (one vanilla with salted caramel and the other a chocolate with hazelnut praline) and several of our guests said it was the best wedding cake they ever had. We often make trips here, but were really impressed with the wedding cake service!

A MUST visit for the BEST pastries in town! JL is always consistent, always fresh, and always flavorful. Jenna is a highly decorated pastry chef that has created an incredible establishment that we have had the pleasure of watching grow and flourish over the years. I highly recommend taking a class to learn from her. The negative reviews on here are a laugh and are from those who have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about. Do yourself a f(l)avor, don’t trust any negative Nancy’s and go get yourself some JL pastries. You deserve it!

A charming patisserie with an amazing variety of cakes, pastries, and other breakfast treats. The kouign-amann is a must-try: a flaky, rich, highly laminated pastry with a caramelized outer crust.Just be aware they only make it on the weekends! Nonetheless, there are plenty of other wonderful choices the rest of the week to satisfy anyone! Service is very efficient and friendly.
