My wife and I dined at Mastro Ocean Club Scottsdale twice this past week and would like to convey how much we enjoyed both visits. Food and experiences were both top notch but what really highlighted both times was a very special waiter Matt Buck. We are not inexperienced diners and feel somewhat qualified in extending this review. Matt was a strong reason we returned in 2 days and just can't say enough about this special person. Only hope others may enjoy his presence in serving them

Fantastic birthday dinner for my husband. Our server, Kerrie, was amazing. The service could not have been better. She was attentive and all her recommendations were spot on. Chef Roberto came to our table and brought out a beautiful seafood appetizer. They have an excellent wine selection. My husband had the ribeye and a friend had the strip steak. Both were excellent. I had the Branzino and my friend had the sea bass. My branzino was perfectly cooked. It was light and flavorful. And the birthday desserts were fabulous. A perfect birthday dinner for my husband.
Birthday and wasn't acknowledged.... This is my favorite dinner place since 2005!! Last nights dinner was extremely disappointing .... Filet was not prepared like I'm Used too having..... veggies over cooked! Not sure what happened but I Hope it doesn't continue like this!

To start off your meal, you always indulge in their colossal shrimp cocktail, which you describe as the best shrimp cocktail you've ever had. The combination of the fresh, humongous shrimp and the flavorful cocktail sauce creates a truly memorable dish. Following that, you enjoy their fantastic and lobster-loaded lobster bisque. The abundance of lobster in the bisque sets it apart from other steakhouse options. Before diving into your main course, you make sure to leave room for the house salad, which you claim is the best salad you've ever had. Topped with shrimp, this salad is a true delight and often requires sharing due to its generous portion. And finally, the star of the show, the bone-in ribeye cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Served sizzling hot and bursting with flavor, this steak is the ultimate indulgence. Pairing it with a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon enhances the dining experience even further. And the butter cake!!! Must have dessert . . . That fresh whipped cream . . . Leaves me speechless. This use to be my favorite steak house and I would say out of the great steaks houses in the valley ocean club food and service was always my favorite. Me and my date arrived and 6 girls at host stand just stared at us did not greet and it was very uncomfortable and when I had finally engage with them they were very rude and off putting as I told them we had a reservation. Our table was not ready for 15 minutes and we waited and then were sat and server came by and then another server then took the table. It was about 16 minutes before we were able to put in a drink and some appetizers. Wait staff was friendly but not super attentive as they use to be. I use to come this location 8-9 times a year they have always been great in past. The food was ok but not up to par to the mastros experience not sure what has changed but it was not the pleasant experiences I have had in past. I will taking my business to oceans/steak 44 for time being. I honestly hate giving restaurants bad reviews as I use to own them but my experience was that bad I had to voice it here

For steaks and seafood, you really can't beat this place in az. Some places have the same quality food but not the expert staff this place has. Great presentation on apps and desserts. They refilled my water cup about q7 times. Nice custom menus with your name on them if you make reservations. Tonight had the branding oregenata, shrimp cocktail, seared ahi, crab legs, butter cake, key lime pie and bread basket. All 10/10

Always fabulous service, food, and ambience, and as expected a follow-up call! Hostesses and greeters were fabulous, Brett, our waiter, was a total pro, and loved that, whom I assume were the GM and Asst GM, checked on us several times.
The teriyaki sashimi is my absolute favorite here. There isn't a bad dish on the menu, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting!

My wife and I came out here for our anniversary dinner this year and sat in the bar area. There was live entertainment about 20-30 minutes after we got there which was a really nice touch. The bar area is very loud here even without the live entertainment. The service was great! Particularly the fella filling my water glass, he was always there and ready to fill it up! The food was also very good as we have come to expect from any Mastros restaurant. We had scallops, ribeye, and also as a side got the special crab fried rice that was truly out of this world! Parking can also be a hassle here especially if you have a larger vehicle. The restaurant does have valet so be prepared to either walk a bit or utilize their valet. All-in-All, this is certainly a place to consider for anyone in the area.

Food and service was great, Noise level was miserable. The waiters couldn't hear and my guest had great difficulty conversing due to the noise level. I am unlikely to go back for that reason, if I wanted to go to a night club I would have gone to a night club. Very disappointed!

Good was ok to good. Price of crab claws was absurd! 46 each??? Service good meal good but lacks value and seems like it's looking more like a chain operation. It will be awhile to go back

We had an excellent meal. Loved the crispy garlic tuna appetizer and our steaks were both excellent. Greg, our server, was beyond excellent! He'sfun and doesn't take himself too seriously. Made our experience great! If you have no sense of humor, don't request Greg but otherwise, he'll make your night fun.
