Restaurantji's Sedona Mexican restaurant picks are here.
“Nice place with decent breakfast. They are definitely on the pricier side for breakfast. The waitress also told us when she brought our bill “if you have cash we definitely prefer it, but if you don’t we still accept card.” Which I thought was a little weird. But over all not a bad meal.“
“Short story: it's delish! Definitely recommend it. The vegan options are 5 stars even if the whole taco truck is not vegan. Longer story: we tried the two types of vegan tacos, the vegan burrito, and the vegan nacho fries and found them all very tasty. My 8 y/o, self proclaimed vegetarian not vegan yet, thought the nacho fries had real cheese. It doesn't seem like melty regular cheese but does seem like a cream sauce and is great. Everything was flavorful with good texture (we loved the crunch on the cauliflower taco-cabbage)! If I lived here, I'd eat here often. We even saw they had a vegan flan option but were out!“
“I went here for the first time as one of a group of about ten. We were all served promptly, and all of the food came out at once (as it should). The breakfast was tasty and the service was excellent. I plan to go again the next time I'm in Sedona.“
“Thank you so much for the delicious tacos and the excellent service! Also having me taste test the HOT SAUCE was a lot of fun even though it was burning my tongue off LOL Totally coming back here again for the tacos! Thank you Simon and Brittney for a fun time, can't wait to do it again!“
“This is not your typical Mexican. We started with chips & salsa. The chips were unlike any chips we have had. They were large crispy, corn chips. We ordered the spicy green salsa. It was more of a pureed sauce but very delicious with a nice heat. We tried 2 different enchiladas. The beef & chicken. Both dishes were very flavorful. It was very refreshing not to have dishes drowning in sauce & cheese. The presentation was just beautiful. I had the red sangria. It too was freshly made. It didn’t have that “sangria mix” taste. When it comes to service, I was very impressed. This restaurant knew how to provide the best service possible. Everyone was running from table to table. My glass was never empty & dirty dishes were cleared promptly. The atmosphere was perfect from the views, the music & the seating. If you’re looking for good food & drinks, I would recommend this restaurant!“
“Picked this restaurant based on reviews ahead of our trip to Sedona. It did not disappoint. It is great restaurant serving delicious Mexican food. Ordered super enchiladas and fajitas de pollo. Both were delicious. Plate sizes are big. Very satisfied with this place.“
“After waiting 15 minutes at our table (that was in the lounge area)with no one approaching us even to fill our waters we moved over to the bar & the night got rolling. The highlight was our bartender whose passion about the food and drinks was contagious. Mole was the standout !“
“Didn't expect much when I walked in but they hit it out the park! The steak burrito mojado had the perfect balance of tasty savory meat with just the right onion crunch and guac pastiness. The red sauce rounded out the whole thing to perfection.“
“We stopped in for some birthday ? drinks for my husband last night. The ambiance was SO FUN with live music ? ( Band plays Wednesday and Saturday). We lived their music ( Latin) THE bartender Sean was fun and engaging. They have very good margaritas and a HUGE variety of tequila. The band even sang Happy Birthday to my husband. THANK YOU 89Agave for making my husband's birthday ? so special“
“Best homemade corn beef hash I have had in a long time, if ever. Went here for the first time 3 years ago. Had the same Latina server both times. She is so warm and kind. When my gf bread came out with butter, she replaced it no problem. The enchiladas are fire ?. They have a wonderful staff. The restaurant has a hole-in-the-wall feel, but doesn’t take away from the experience. It was nice to get right in on a Sunday morning, avoiding all the craziness of Sedona in season. Highly recommend their food.Dietary restrictions: GF toast is goooood. Easy to find things to eat that conform to my diet, GF/DF.“
“I come to Sedona area pretty often and I’m kicking myself for not stopping by this spot earlier. This trip we ate at both locations and neither one disappointed. This location is a bit larger than the one in Sedona and offers a full bar. The other location does not. We were greeted and seated right away. My only negative the entire time was how long it took for us to get our server to come greet us and get our orders in. However once she arrived it was great service and she really made us laugh. She interacted well with us all and we didn’t have to ask for anything. Chips and salsa is one feee basket. If you want more you’ll have to pay a few dollars. I opted for three shrimp tacos and added rice and beans. My family ordered the carne asada plate, a trio of some sort that came with stacked enchiladas and same asada on the side with rice and beans and I can’t remember the other plate. We ordered a side of jalepenos which didn’t disappoint on the spicy level . Under the carne asada was cactus. Which has a bit of a bitter taste, but pared well with the food. The shrimp tacos were amazing. Not your typical cabbage doused toppings at other places, but peppers and sauce with a little kick. They have a street taco size and regular. Depending on how hungry you are that’s a great option. We all left very full and happy.Vegetarian options: Small section with vegetarian options“
“We ordered salads. There wasn’t a service to have to tip. You order and get a beeper and it will let you know when your food is ready. The food was very good!! I got the taco salad bowl with ground beef and it was sooooo yummy!! The view was beautiful ti look at while eating! Would recommend to friends, price was good.“
“We knew this was the right place when we saw so many local folks dining here on bowls of homemade pozole and fresh tortillas. We had to get ours para llevar (to go) because we had the dogs with us. Besides, who doesn't like the occasional reading dinner, where you just sit and read a book? Everything was delicious. Cowboy fries and enchilada platter were standouts, served with red and green salsa.“
“Tamaliza lived up to all of my expectations! My wife and I hoped to find authentic Mexican food while in Sedona and it was perfect! We had a wonderful meal and our host was very pleasant and helpful with our Order! I really wish we could go there all the time but we are from Indianapolis!Vegetarian options: I had my first ever Vegan Tamale!Dietary restrictions: Many vegan options!Parking: 10Kid-friendliness: A wonderful atmosphere!“
“This is like a great fast food Mexican food place, so I don’t think it is fair to rate it on atmosphere, so I gave the atmosphere 5 stars even though it’s not supposed to be a fancy restaurant. Love the drive-through. Love the chicken tacos, they have a perfect crispy taco shell, the best we’ve hade since we moved to AZ from Texas. Everything we have had is good, tasty, quality Mexican food! So glad we have LosBetos here in the Village of Oak Creek!“
“The food was excellent. The salsa was amazing and the perfect level of spicy, along with the guacamole. The food was ready very shortly after we ordered and was extremely good. One of the newer kitchen staff mistakenly put onion on one of the orders (we'd requested no onion) and the corrected food was ready in less than 5 minutes. They were also able to make a non-alcoholic version of the spicy mango margarita, which was also very good. The servers were all super friendly as well. The atmosphere outside (where we sat) was lovely and there was plenty of shade due to the colorful umbrellas. There were also a lot of very cute sparrows who would grab any chips that people dropped but would otherwise keep their distance. They added an extra bit of liveliness.“
“The staff was very attentive, the food was delicious and they were very large plates, so the price is appropriate. We ordered a burrito and it came with half of it. The delicious margaritas! You can tell that the food is real Mexican. Very good ambient music.Parking: The parking lot is right in front and is free, with plenty of spaces.“
“Stopped for lunch on the way out of Sedona. The Sedona Wrap with marinated chicken and roasted bell peppers was loaded with chicken and very good. The tamales plate was large. Kids meals come with a drink and a bowl of ice cream for dessert.“
“What a great experience. We were waiting for an outdoor table but then we met Joe! Joe treated us so well at the bar that we decided to stay and have lunch with him. Great service! Deliciously perfect meal! Joe totally made this a great afternoon. Thanks! We will be back.“
“Talk about Michelin star worthy Mexican food. Elote Cafe was an unbelievable dining experience. We started with the Calabacitas and Ensalada de Romaine which were both extraordinary with distinct flavors. We had the Carne Asada, Smoked Beef Cheeks (James Beard award winner) , Grilled Halibut and Shrimp con Espinacas. We shared with each other and all had wide smiles as these dishes were delicious . Our server Kanen was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable of every dish. He gave us great recommendations and was very attentive. We sat outside which was delightful and had a comfortable table with blankets to stay cozy.“
