Stopped in for lunch here today after visiting the arboretum and had such a nice easygoing experience. Gilbert was preparing a delicious looking salad when we commented on it. He let us have a try of his recipe and it is a winner. Hope they add it to the menu as a side. But we ordered brisket sandwiches and turkey sandwiches with macaroni sides and wedge salad sides. I was really surprised to find this place! My dad recommended it and I was skeptical - well, I was wrong. I got the sampler platter and was impressed. The brisket was a little to fatty for my preferences but the taste was spot on. Very cool location, great menu. Would definitely come back!

There's a subtle smokiness upon entering the restaurant, just enough to be enticing and not overpowering. There was plenty of street parking at 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, and no wait to be seated.
