Really cute spot with fun decor and vibes ~ Stopped here for sushi and the omakase lunch deal a great value. A filling amount of food for a good price. They let you pick the roll that comes with it from the basic roll selection (California type rolls). We also ordered the dragon roll and it was very good! Phenomenal sushi (nigiri) - the kind that melts in your mouth. The sake (salmon), maguro (tuna) and even the gyoza were all exceptional and I'm a hard person to please. Visiting from Portland, OR, this is now my go-to place after trying countless sushi train places in Tempe and Chandler.Edit: dropping down to 4 stars as they've added a 10% service charge for carryout. Nothing was stated on their website. It would have been nice to know. Otherwise, still great-tasting sushi.

You know that almost involuntary eye closure and little moan you let out when you put something amazing in your mouth? That happens to me with each piece of sashimi at Kuka. I make a point to visit every time I'm in the area.
