Let me just say, wow. When you first walk in the atmosphere, it is inviting both inside and outside, truly beautiful. The service itself was fantastic and friendly. Then there's the food which is flavorful and fresh. Then there's the lemonade which, let me tell you, is a definite must when coming here. If you currently live in Arizona or are simply coming to visit, definitely come here.

I think the most notable thing about the Golden Pineapple is that the food is interesting. There's clearly been some thought and effort put into crafting a menu that is more unique that normal pub food, and it makes the menu a delight to explore. It was my first time trying some of the novel takes on dishes here, like the Tamale fries, and I enjoyed everything I tasted.The atmosphere is also very fun and energetic. It's a great place to have a meal on a Friday night.UPDATE:As of 2024, it appears this location is closed. Prior to this closure, the menu changed multiple times and I would no longer have recommended the food as novel or unique.

Quiet mid week for happy hour. Cocktails are well made with good variety. Pork tacos tender and flavorful. TRY THE SOPAPILLA! Service was just ok even without a crowd. Will go back and try again since service can be variable.

Nothing at all like the posted pics and 4.5 rating. Dark and gloomy. No TVs for sports. Food was bland. NO DRAFT BEER!?! Champaign and mimosas were not good. Bad margarita. Why do these places still exist? Server was nice but could tell we were disappointed. Gotta try new things to find our go-to places, but won't be back here...
i have been coming here for the upwards of 3 years now and todays AMAZING AMAZING staff made me redownload this app to write a review. our bartender charlie seamlessly managed a walk in of 20 people (not us lol) and was able to provide top notch customer service to everyone else as well as this group. i cannot recommend this place enough and have really been so impressed by the entire staffs communication and teamwork to handle this situation and provide long-term care to their patrons. this is a must go to food spot in tempe! (attached below are photos from the last three years, i cannot promise that the same food is on the most current menu, but i can promise everything on the current line up is sensational)

Visited again last night and had a lovely time. I just love that it's a neighborhood restaurant that has a lovely ambience and good food and good service. The patio was open, but it was a little too warm to sit out there so we sat inside and started with some drinks, the brussels sprouts and oysters. The brussels sprouts were AMAZING! We each got an entrée... My husband got the avocado and bacon burger and it was juicy and so incredibly tasty and I got the chicken sandwich. Sometimes a chicken sandwich can be too bulky because of the thickness of the chicken piece and the thick bread, but this was the perfect size. It was so flavorful with the toppings, the mild buffalo sauce on the chicken, and the jalapeño aïoli. We finished our meal with the bueñelos and vanilla ice cream. It served in a skillet. Fortunately we were not impressed. The ice cream was delicious and the combo would've been a perfect flavor of sweetness but the ice cream made the bueñelos cold very quickly so then they just tasted like spongy oil. My recommendation to the restaurant would be two separate the ice cream, and bring it out into different containers. Otherwise, we absolutely love this place and will continue to come back. PS- please bring back the "grandma's tacos"!

The outdoor area is large and roomy and has a wonderful ambience. We should probably try sitting inside the next time we visit because it seemed really cool and inviting. The meal, beverages, and service were all excellent, and the background music was enjoyable. reasonable costs for food and drink for two persons. Definitely a good idea.

One word disappointing. Run from this cash grab as far as you can! The $16 "ceviche" consisted of mostly peppers and vegetables. Where is the shrimp? This dish is an embarrassment to Mexican food everywhere. The $13 hot wings comes with only 6 wings! 6! That's over $2 per wing. The sauce on the wings was pretty good, but it's not worth feeling robbed. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is for the waitress and the cocktails that were pretty good. The surfers on acid and Juliet and Romeo were very tasty. Don't waste your money here, you're going to feel cheated and even hungrier when you leave then when you arrived. I'd give this place another year before they shut the doors for good, mainly because of the greedy owners who cheat their customers. Sad because this place has a lot of potential! Oh well, maybe just get rid of the food and strictly stick to cocktails.

This was our first time here. Our waitress forgot our chips! And, we got burgers and all of us who got them were disappointed. They were mediocre and not worth the price. Sad because the place is cute but the food and the service wasnt.
