“This place is off the hook!! Chef Brian and wing-man Cashmir are the real deal! As we drove up it wasn't much...but the aroma when getting out of our car immediately changed my head space. Eclectic furniture littered both inside and out...with a bit of a bayou vibe. We were warmly welcomed ( fist bumps and all) as we perused the menu...soul food PLUS! I ordered the fried chicken tenders and a Chef Brian specialty, sweet tea in a complimentary mason jar. The portion alone would feed a small family of four without hesitation. The dish was served with the Chef's own secret sauce (no ketchup, mustard or ranch) at this place...the authentic truth of home cooked fried chicken, not to be insulted with lame condiments. I'm not a big eater, one gigantic tender and I was stuffed and wildly satisfied. The sweet tea topped the feast off. Kashmir kindly boxed my leftovers and there were hugs all around as I thanked these two for such a genuine experience. I'll be back...and I'm bringing friends I said, as I headed to my car. Thank you Chef Brian and Cashmir keep doing what you're doing!“

“My kid and I love the Chicken Strips. I'm very fond of the onion rings, which are some of the best in the city. And a bit less expensive than other fast food places. The BBQ sauce is quite good and my kid loves the honey mustard. All in all the food is better than most fast food.“

We wanted a late lunch early dinner before heading to Tucson International airport.
(8 miles away).
Service was quick and friendly.
Sports bar atmosphere. Lots to see on multiple TVs.
Only negative is furnishings a bit old and worn ( large rip in booth cushion).
Will be back on next flight out of TIA.“

“Holy Moly, this is now my number one favorite restaurant in Tucson. I’ve never had such consistently delicious and perfectly cooked food in my life! My family and I went, shared an order of the blueberry lemon pancakes, and each had our own meal. Each and every item we ordered was absolutely phenomenal. And the portions are huge!!!! “The food is great, the service is fast, and I couldn’t ask for more. They have good summer specials to save a few bucks. There are a lot of options depending on dietary preferences or restrictions: gluten free buns, grass fed beef available, and tons of toppings available. I love the local iced tea and the Maine Root sodas. If you have been there years ago when the service was a little slow, just know that was in the past. I waited 3 minutes for a hot, fresh burger tonight that was awesome.“

They were super helpful and proactively accommodating to my kids (offering to make off menu kids items like hot dogs, quesadillas, or chicken nuggets without us asking - we didn't end up going this route since my kids were happy with the on menu options) and even came over to give them tiny cups of turtle food to feed their turtles. “We love Kingfisher so much that we had our wedding there 4 years ago. So of course we celebrated our anniversary there last night! New owner Jackie and her wonderful staff saw to it that we had a wonderful meal, including a very special dessert. When Murph and his partner retired we were concerned about how the place would change but our subsequent visits have been wonderful. Highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great food and fabulous service!“

“This Tucson Sub spot never misses! Always HITS! They have a variety of sub options on their menu, as well as healthy choice options from wraps to salads. Don’t be afraid to ask about their secret menu options either! The owner recommended one today (see photo below) and it was absolutely everything I wanted in a sub sandwich. Great tasting ingredients, not shy of filling the bread up, threw that extra cheese just right, and had a spicy kick to it. I have tried a few different sandwiches on the few occasions I have returned, and some menu items I have revisited, always with the same love and preparation as the time before. Beyond the food, is the service. This Ma and Pop shop heart and soul is in its hospitality and welcoming feeling, and it directly reflects into the food they serve on a day to day. I have found no reason to go to any other sub place in town because, for me personality, this one takes the cake. Amazing people, outstanding service, delicious food, great value, all in one locally owned and operated location right here in Tucson.“

“I had my retirement party there a little over a week ago. The staff was great - helpful, attentive, yet unobtrusive... and also friendly and just really nice. The food was absolutely fantastic. All of my guests raved about the dinner and the cakes we had for desert. So many thanks to the chef(s) for a delicious meal. The venue was charming and, because the weather was about perfect that night, we were able to enjoy the patio as well as being inside. I can't thank the staff at Café a la C'Artl/Carte Blanche catering enough for making our celebration so great!“

And if I don't want any protein, there are hot and cold fabulous tasting entrees. I never run out of choices. I have no idea what they do to their veggies to create all the unique and high-end flavor profiles but I FREAKIN' LOVE IT, whatever it is.“

I went back that Thursday for a chat and corona 🍋‍🟩 but ended up getting the steak dinner 🤤 Today, (Friday) I tried the Mediterranean chicken sandwich and the SATISFACTION every single meal brought is undeniably the best food I've had in Tucson! Waitress knew my drink order after one day, knew how I wanted my fries and even how much of a side sauce to add.
