“This was the first place we went on our visit to Tuscon, Arizona. We made a last minute reservation and were greeted kindly. The atmosphere was busy, but service was well paced. Our server was very nice and took very good care of us, even complimenting my hurried makeup I did in less than an hour. The food was wonderful. We had porkchops, fundido, and octopus. The fundido was my favorite as it was served in a mini skillet and had this beautiful crust of cheese. The octopus was cooked perfectly, no rubbriness with slight bite back. The porkchop with that sauce they serve it with was bright and rustic. For dessert we had Panna cotta and chocolate ganach. The ganach, though well made, wasn't my favorite as it was textbook and not innovative, the orange took over when it was present and whatever was on the bottom added nothing, i can't even remember what it was. The Panna cotta, however, was superb. It was light, colorful, and contained a multitude of flavors to play with like raspberry, mint, and pineapple, just gorgeous. We washed everything down with Jamaican lemonade, something I wish i could take a gallon of home! All in all, it was a wonderful experience deserving 5 stars.“
“Very good service, good food, laid back atmosphere.Though I would have preferred that they would have topped of my water to keep it full, but they touched our table over 10 times during our visit, so again service was excellent.Had the Plato Mixto to start which was a great portion for two, three, or more, followed by the Bitsec Palomilla that included a savory plantain fufú. I added on the side salad for something fresh and the Maduros (sweet plantains) for something sweet. We had a mojito, I would have preferred a stronger mojito, but aside from personal preference, it was well balanced. We took home some flan and we had a full meal left over which we brought home with us.Worth a visit and a return visit!“
“Title: A Culinary Hole-in-One at TACO GÜIROReview: After a rewarding day at SEWAILO Golf Course, my coworkers and I decided to explore the local flavors and found ourselves at TACO GÜIRO on Valencia Rd. It was a decision that we’ll cherish and repeat. The Green Chile con Carne Chimi was a revelation – a delicious masterpiece wrapped in a crispy tortilla, bursting with the rich flavors of green chile and succulent carne. One of my colleagues ventured into the sea with the Seafood Cocktail, and it was a voyage worth taking. The freshness of the seafood paired with the zesty sauce was a testament to TACO GÜIRO’s commitment to quality and taste. The star of the evening, however, was not just the food but the service. Abby was a delight. Her impeccable service, coupled with her enthusiasm, made our dining experience exceptional. She understood the essence of hospitality and made us feel like the most important guests of the evening.TACO GÜIRO is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where delicious food meets heartwarming service. It’s where golfers can unwind and where friends can make memories over a meal that’s prepared with care and served with love.Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“I had just come from a show at the Rialto, and I wanted a nice drink and atmosphere. I walked into Juniper and Remy had greeted me with a menu of amazing gin selections and craft cocktails. The music was also on par with the unique drinks! Loved the vibe, music, everything. Will go again!! Ask for Remy, he made my visit pleasant and enjoyable. Highly recommend!!!“
“Small, quaint bar. It felt quite homey. Pool table up on an elevated platform/"stage". A few booths near the U-shaped bar. Drink specials were fantastic, and they tasted good, too! I look forward to going again.Parking: Parking wasn't terrible. We got spots up front, coincidentally. Didn't get to see exactly how many spots were available on each side of the building, but upwards of 30, maybe.“
“We were in Tucson for the 4th Avenue Street Fair and just happened to find Batch…and oh my goodness…I’m so happy we did!!! We were in Tucson for 3 nights and we finished all 3 evenings with a night cap at Batch ?. We were also super lucky…on Fridays and Saturdays they have small batch doughnuts ?….yum ? The blackberry w/Crown Royal icing was so good…we ordered a second one ?. The whiskey selection is amazing…the prices are great…the bartenders are very knowledgeable…and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Morgan, the head bartender, was even honored with his name on an Elijah Craig bottle!!!! We asked him to choose our next drink…several times…and they were all amazing. They make cocktails for the guests that don’t enjoy whiskey…but this is definitely a place to go if you want to try new whiskeys served neat ?. If you’re in Tucson…and enjoy whiskey…this is a must!!! We’re planning our next trip back, just so I can go here again ???“
“This place is unique. It stands on a great location downtown but holds it own as a memorable household name. I found their Mediterranean salad to seem ridiculous at first but came to enjoy it once it was at the table: "chopped romaine, quinoa, marinated tomatoes, fried capers, pickled onion, feta, smashed cucumber, fried potato, green beans, red wine herb vinaigrette." Mine had plain shredded chicken added to it.“
“Fantastic, chill vibe with live music and exceptional cocktails. The host was charming and hilarious, greeting patrons and making everyone feel welcome. Where else can you go to hear live jazz played by some of Tucson’s best young artists?“
“We love Boondocks! Fun, friendly staff and four pool tables, plus karaoke on Weds/Fri/Sat. Great spot for playing billiards, darts, or having beers with friends. Free pool on Sundays! The bartender Patty is always a friendly face behind the bar :)“
“I really enjoyed the home style like atmosphere and hospitality of the staff. The food was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to find hibiscus drink on the menu. It's really refreshing!! I usually don't drink horchata, but I tasted my son's, and El Sur's is one of the best that I've had.“
“Top Notch. Second time here and once again did not disappoint. Fresh food. Friendly prompt service. Good overall atmosphere.. Any of the ceviche options work. The whole snapper is terrific. About the only negative is limited parking. Highly recommended if you like Mexican seafood.“
“Well, this was quite an experience tonight. Compared to a lot of comedy clubs I've been to, this place has pretty spacious seating areas. The comedy was good and entertaining. The food menu was pretty big and had a lot of great choices. I went with the basic basket of fries. It was a huge serving of shoe string fries for 10 bucks. Everyone at my table got something different, and everyone was pleased. The service was very good, especially considering how many people the waitress had to account for. I can see myself coming back to this place again for sure.“
“Looooove the concept of an eco- conscious restaurant. My server (I unfortunately don’t remember her name) was super helpful with the menu and had a bubbly demeanor. The decoration and choice of furniture felt more unique to me and brightens the place up. I think if my meal (the breakfast burrito) had less sauce and a spicy salsa it would taste perfect but it was maybe a 3/5. My family adored their meals though. Giaaaaant portions so easily shareable. Decently price but more on the expensive side in my opinion.I definitely recommend sharing the French toast as an appetizer. Also their rewards program is really good if you check out the offers they give with points.“
“Wanted to try something new for my birthday this year and ended up at Snooze, THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The service was amazing (as a party of 6 that can be a challenge), the food was perfect and everyone cleared their plates and the drinks were amazing. Can't recommend them enough.Vegetarian options: Their whole menu can be made vegetarian“
“I kind of hate to leave a review because I don't want Sidecar to get more crowded, but these are the best cocktails in town. Their frozen cocktails (sadly only in the summer months) are dangerously good, but really so is almost everything on and off their menu.“
“Tap and Bottle North is a gem and go to spot for drinks because they have something for everyone! Not only does it boast an impressive array of craft beers, wines, and some spirits, but the added bonus of ordering food from local spots allows everyone to be happy. The ambiance is top-notch--an inviting space with indoor and outdoor seating. It's the kind of place that effortlessly transitions from a laid-back hangout to a vibrant hub as the evening progresses. The cozy seating arrangements and friendly staff contribute to a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. As for the other stuff to do, Tap and Bottle North delivers. Whether it's casual conversations over a flight of beers, trivia nights that spark friendly competition, or live music events that add a rhythm to the air, there's always something enjoyable happening here. It's the ideal spot to unwind, have a great time, and enjoy drinks in a welcoming setting.“
“I can't say enough good things about Amelia's Mexican Kitchen. I've dined there probably 3 or 4 times and the food is consistently exceptional. The service is great too and the owner is very nice! My family and I have found this gem of a restaurant and will continue to return again and again. Thank you for the delicious dining experiences!“
“Good Oak Bar is located right next to the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, so when I came for a show I hit Good Oak both before and after the show. Service was amazing, whiskey and bourbon selections were amazing and the music was amazing. NIck and Rae were incredible servers that made perfect suggestions. I absolutely loved it here and hope to be back very soon!“
“I had the ribs and they were great! There is plenty of seating inside. Saw a few ties get cut off while we were there too!Parking: Huge lot. Lots of people come here to Trail dust town but they have plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with crayons.“
“Believe me when I say this will be the ONLY REVIEW you will need to read about this Tucson classic "mom and pop". I never write reviews, which is absurd since I use them to make my decisions. It is possible that I do not write reviews out of pure laziness and hope others will take care of it or it is that I am on to my next adventure. Who knows? But I could not be lazy, hope for others to do the work, or move on until I wrote one. That should tell you something right there.Honest review: I asked the server what she recommended. She responded with Eggplant Parmesan. Eggplant? My experience had been that eggplant is rubbery, mealy, and thick. Ok...I thought. I guess. Then she added that I should get it "Joe’s Style". You may be asking what that is. Do not worry, so did I. Joe's Style is chili oil (don’t let the word chili scare you, it’s flavorful not spicy), garlic, and cheese. This Joe must know me personally. That combo right there was the deciding factor to move forward. If anything, at least there would be those three. So, I pulled the trigger, with a smile but with worry lurking just behind it. Let me add I was dining with a stranger. So, I was on my best behavior. Ok, I have set the scene. Let us get to the meat of the review. When I say the dish was amazing, I mean AMAZING! The pasta was homemade, the red sauce had the perfect robust tangy flavor, the Joe's Style...let this sink in... I would drink it as a cocktail if no one were looking...and finally the eggplant. If I were a vegetable, I would marry that eggplant. Who knew? It was so delectable! The end. Get the Eggplant Parm Joe’s Style, you will thank me later even though it is highly likely we will never meet.Parking: Parking was right off of Craycroft, easy access!Wheelchair accessibility: There were ramps and wide corridors.“
“My husband and I went to Eddie's for the Superbowl. The bartender, Katherine, was exceptional. She made the best margarita that I've had in a long time. She was friendly and had a great attitude. Plus, she served our drinks quickly They had a free Mexican buffet that was awesome! I would highly recommend this bar and plan to return frequently.“
“Outrageous! Last night we were enjoying ourselves at Brodies with our friend from England. We were called drunks by bartender Jeff. We couldn't believe his disrespect toward us, especially because none of us were drunk. We come at least twice a week, and Brody's is our favorite bar. We hope this will not happen again. Thank you.“
“Loved this spot while on vacation! The bartender made this drink for my partner from an old menu and it was perfect! The place is really cozy.Drink name is “Scotch Tales” for those wanting something peaty.Parking: Free parking with plenty of space.“
“Gabby and her bar back were friendly and attentive. Food was good. We had the Mexican corn which was a bit over seasoned but still great. Burgers were delish and we finished it off with the churros which were great as well. Will definitely be “
“Great Brunch Experience!I stopped by here for brunch on my way back from some morning errands, and I'm glad I did. The outside seating is filled with greenery that is enjoyable to the eye. The Quiche caught my eye from other reviewer's photos, and I can say it was worth ordering. Everything was fresh and wonderful. Seating does seem slightly crammed but not overwhelmingly a tight squeeze to sit down. Highly recommend supporting this local restaurant!“
“Such a fun bar and great addition to university!!! My friends and I watched the Super Bowl there! Lots of TVs and drinks to choose from- also reasonably priced! We split the nachos and chicken and waffle sliders, amazing flavor! It’s a great place to watch UA sports!“
“This cool place has what you're looking for; whether to dance, talk or just hang out waiting for a show next door at the Rialto. Special drink pricing if you are going to the event as well. On weekends a band plays outside, where if you choose to... Enjoy a smoke!!! I truly love this place and make it a point when in Tucson to stop in. And as mentioned in the Title... Emily the bartender not only makes super duper drinks, she is smart and willing to chat it up with you if you're so inclined. This bar is awesome. Give it a try... from Bruce Anderson“
“Welp, admittedly we almost drove right past this place without stopping. That would have been a shame because the food and service were outstanding! I wish I knew the name of our server because she was amazing.Lesson is, don’t judge a book by its cover.“
“I couldn’t rate the food because they don’t serve any; however, their service and ambiance is exactly what I had hoped for and received. The bar is a dimly lit underground area with a cave-like feel to it. Accessible by entering the restaurant and then heading out the side door and down the stairs. Their pricing is on point. And when you get hungry they allow you to take your drink upstairs to meander and order food wherever you’d like making it possible to watch the sunset from the upstairs dining patio. A really great experience, perfect for date night or just hanging w friends.“
“Tap & Bottle has an unmatched bottle selection for the craft beer enthusiast and collector. I've been able to find beers at Tap & Bottle that I have spent YEARS searching for, and they have them for affordable prices. Lucky to have this place in Tucson.“
“Love that I can get carne asada tacos without going all the way to south Tucson. The tacos were super good and they cram a ton of meat on them. Kari was great and the atmosphere was relaxed, although I have seen it get super packed when I've visited in the past.“
