“Easily the best Ramen I’ve had the pleasure of having in Tucson. Having lived in Japan and enjoyed it in it’s original form, this is a taste of my old home in Tokyo. The flavors and umami is on point! I eat here almost too often now haha enjoy! Itadakimasu!“
“We ordered the 16 PC. Sashimi with imagine roll. Delicious! Great presentation and our server Kyle was attentive and brought our dishes quickly. I always enjoy our meals here The Sashimi portions are very good. My wife tries the Unagi roll for the first time and enjoyed it. I recommend Sushi Cortaro and bring all of my friends here to dine.“
“Kiwami Ramen is a nice, simple noodle restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is small, you order by the number for ramen, and customize it with add ons. Most of the broths are pork based, spouse had the curry #6. Very hearty, curry was mild, plenty of flavor in broth. The one vegetarian option barely satisfied me. They should rethink even offering one. It had a nice complex peppery broth, and included tasty green noodles, salad greens, 1 bit of broccoli, one Brussel sprout cut in half. I added mushrooms, otherwise it wouldn’t have been much of a meal.Appetizer menu was pretty extensive and we tried the pan fried vegetarian gyoza. Six pieces stuffed with edamame and veg. were fabulous and a good dish to share. Washed it down with jasmine ice tea. Will go back and try more apps.Looked like a very busy drive-thru happening.“
“My fave place in American Eat Co! If you've been craving fast, Japanese style fare, hit up Fatboys. Everything on their menu is unique and high quality. My favorite thing is their ebi katsu sando, which is a panko-fried shrimp sandwich that can only be ordered on the weekend. The place is a little pricey for what it is, but you can't beat the flavor or find it anywhere else in Tucson.“
“Of our many visits to Mr. An's Teppan Steak & Seafood, my wife, son, and I recently experienced the BEST SERVICE EVER...not just here, but among many dining experiences. For one simple reason: Server, Nyca, gets it! And delivers.Previously, we looked forward to savoring Mr. An's sushi. Going forward, we will make sure Nyca is available to provide her Five-Star service as a perfect complement to the Five-Star cuisine!“
“I absolutely LOVED the food! I'm a very picky eater and the way the onions were cooked, so delicious! Customer service was amazing, and if you're Korean, feel free to talk to the waiters in Korean! They also had leather as their table cloth. I loved their food and would recommend! ♡ ♡ ♡“
“Authentic. House made tamago and all the ingredients to make a legitimate futomaki… which is rare these days. Nigiri was tasty and the Japanese curry was delicious but I should have ordered it with a bit more heat. My least favorite were the spicy tuna and spicy scallop hand rolls - full disclosure: I alone at the nigiri and curry pictured, so it was likely that my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Definitely worth a stop.“
“Ginza! We’ve been regulars since their opening day. Fantastic food and warm service. They are now open for carryout and need our support. Please support this wonderful family owned local business and enjoy the finest sushi and Japanese cuisine on earth. Open 4:00 - 8:00. Closed on Mondays.“
“The food was great but it was outshined in everyway by the friendly and welcoming staff and environment. The nice people there went out of there way to be sweet and wonderful to myself and the family especially the baby! Will definitely be visiting again!Kid-friendliness: Very nice to the babyWheelchair accessibility: Entrance ramp and wide open tables great for wheelchairs“
“Sushi Hana's food truck came to my place of work and was checking out their menu. The Heart Attack Roll caught my attention. While not something to joke about, i had to try it. This roll is esentially a stuffed jalapeño with crab meat and cream cheese. It was awesome, lived it. The lady taking my order was very friendly and curtious even though she had to be stressed from all the people and so many orders to keep track of. I can't wait to try their brick and motar store. I definitely would reccommend that you try this place.“
“Have been going to O Sushi for four years. Went on Valentines day, no reservations accepted, and waited about 30 minutes for a table. As usual the sushi was great, our favorite is the crunch dragon roll. Service was excellent, not rushed on a very busy night.“
“Great vegan options at MARU Japanese Noodle Shop on the west side of Tucson. The restaurant is very clean, not usually very crowded, and they have a little bar with fresh vegetables and sauces that is included with the meal. Prices are reasonable and the ambiance is very nice. Staff are friendly and able to make recommendations on different plates to try. They also sell cultural items and gifts such as different books written in Japanese for $1.00! I highly recommend checking it out! 1370 N Silverbell Road, #180, Tucson, Arizona, 85745.“
“I do not understand how there isn't a line out the door!! This place is so good! The food is super fresh and delicious. The sushi is the best in town in my opinion and I'm very picky. The restaurant is extremely clean, my husband makes a comment every time we go. It is owner operated, and they always greet you warmly. Can't recommend this place enough. Need a date night go here!“
“Pretty low key sushi restaurant. I dropped in as it was on the way home. The food quality was good. The fish tasted fresh, was cold, and good textures. I got the combo with a $2 roll upgrade to the spicy tuna rainbow roll. It was cool to see them offering a sushi dish for less than $20 if no upgrades. The restaurant was typical mom & pop sushi spot in a strip mall. The service was fast and friendly. I thought it was cool some of the staff spoke spanish. A man came in who I don't believe spoke english and the staff was super accommodating. Good spot with reasonable prices for sushi.“
“Tremendous restaurant. The waiters/waitresses are professional and nice. The food quality is awesome - it's a great enjoy to get served a well made and warm food. I believe the cook is exceptional. This area gets busy sometimes, but waiters/waitresses do care about it“
“My husband and I absolutely LOVE Ikkyu. We’ve made it a must do for our date night. I love the Udon and Hubby always gets the Volcano don. The customer service is amazing as well. Everyone is friendly and the food is always made super fast. I’ve never waited more than 15 for an order.“
“This is my "go-to" place for sushi on the Eastside of town. They have large sushi selection menu along with cooked food if you desire. My wife likes the teriyaki steak dinner why I gobble down sashimi and edamame! They also serve beer and wine. Staff is always attentive and cheerful!“
“The food here is surprisingly very very good. I only say surprisingly because I've never tasted pho like this and served with a lemon and it definitely added to the flavor. This is comfort food. The sushi is amazing as well. You want be disappointed!! My kid enjoyed it indeed.Vegetarian options: I got the pho with veggies no tofu. It was fulfilling!“
“Great spot w/ good food & camaraderie. It’s the customers & a few good barkeeps that keep it going. The GM has no interest in getting it back to the money maker it was in 2019.The Sunday b4 Christmas and it’s closed when at least 30 ppl wanted to go. Sad“
“Great Japanese food. Gone there for many years, so many different memories. You have to know what you're getting there- this isn't a sushi restaurant. They have sushi, but that's not their specialty. They serve more traditional, homestyle Japanese cuisine. Some of the best meals are the combination special, the Japanese curry dishes, and any of the rice bowls. And, obviously, the sushi isn't bad either if you want to complement it with one of your main dishes. It's in the weirdest location though, haha- all the other shops are vacant, yet it's in this massive, largely abandoned shopping center. At this point, they should just call the shopping center, the Samurai Center. Tucson institution!“
“I’ve never been to this location. Hands down best melt in your mouth rolls. Our server was super sweet and attentive. Food came out pretty fast even with it being a bit busy. The decor stayed true to its original Japanese style but with a modern urban twist. I loved it! The Broadway location needs to get on the same page because I’ll definitely go out of my way to come to this one. ?? Thank you for such great service and amazing food.“

“I hope you like fish, because we are going underwater for todays review. Sushi Cortaro is the type of establishment which seems to defy the modern culinary epistemology. Enter through the doors of this revolutionary establishment and you immediately get the feeling that this is a liminal space, but simultaneously a place where you can freely express yourself. Sit down in one of the many chairs that populate this experimental new museum of gastronomy and read deeply through the avant-garde yet traditional menu. You may be surprised at some of the options like salmon sashimi and tuna sashimi, and other fish related foods, but remember this is a place where sushi is sold. I think its important to remember that this isn't the kind of place where jazz bands perform, its not the kind of place where you can throw peanuts on the ground. This place is more like the cinema than anything else. You enter this theater of cuisine so that you may be exposed to that which both shocks and delights, that which is both frightening and comforting simultaneously. The food here is like a film by Truffaut. It is pure artistic excellence that will leave you in tears, and have you coming back for more.“
“I had just moved across the street and wanted to get some sushi so I decided to try Sakari. I found my new sushi spot for sure! I placed a pick up order and called around pick up time to check on it. A very friendly woman answered and gave me the update….It was right on time. When I picked up I was greeted immediately and the woman who helped me was sweet. I’m assuming it was the same woman I had spoken on the phone with. My rolls and miso soup were quite yummy and they were packaged up so nicely with utensils. Looks like care really went into the order. I was pleased with my first experience and can’t wait for more future visits.“
“The teriyaki steak was awesome, my wife had the Korean BBQ pork and beef, yum and fun to cook. I had teriyaki steak.Updated went here again March 22, 2024. Raised to 5 stars. Food was great again, service outstanding. We had no room for dessert and took leftovers home in a box. The BBQ worked really good at our table. Pork belly, Ribeye and Bulgogi was tasty. Not overly expensive for 4 of us to eat Korean style. Kimchi, salad, corn and the rest of sides, all good. Best part was for a Friday night there was no waiting for a table. They also have sushi and orders they serve that you don't have to BBQ.“
“I came here for the first time for lunch with my dad. The sushi was very tasty, and the portions are crazy huge! Plating and presentation leave a bit to be desired with the portion sizes being what they are, but that's a nit pick. 100% would recommend this spot.“
“Went here for dinner last night with family and friends and had the Takaki Maki roll. It was filling and delicious. The Salmon Asparagus roll and Kantu Beef were also very much enjoyed. The fried chicken sandwich was the least amazing out of the four. The location is conveniently near downtown and the atmosphere is pleasant if you’re facing away from the bar. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner out.“
“Surprisingly the fish at this storage container stand is quite fresh. I got a bluefin tuna hand roll and it was delicious. My husband got the Mt. Fuji Don and loved it. My unagi onigiri had very little eel in it, mostly rice so I would probably not order that again. We came at a busy lunch hour so it was about 30 minutes before we got our food but we passed the time by walking around the other shops in the complex which was nice. I would come back to try more options from their menu.“
