La Frida Mexican Grill and Seafood is a wonderful place! The food is artistic, creative and delicious. The drinks are crafted and really special. The staff was attentive and helpful. The only downside is that they do not take reservations, and there is usually a long wait for a table. We attempted four times to visit La Frida and each time was 45 minutes -60 minute wait. My favorite East Tucson Mexican restaurant! La Frida has a beautifully crafted menu with food from Oaxaca and more like Mexico City and South States. The space is small but cool Frida Kahlo inspired decor. Everything I've had has been delicious and presented beautifully. Servers are always kind and ready to offer suggestions and explanations. Food is a little pricey but I think it’s portion size combined with great flavor and customer service the restaurant is worth it overall. I would say to expect a wait. Size of location isn’t big. Perhaps a great lunch or early dinner would be best.Dietary restrictions: If not already an option, the staff is quick to help adjust for dietary restrictions.
