“This really is a little gem of a place. It was packed! But the food and service were great. I love the smaller menu, makes it easy to decide. Had a the cowboy ribeye which comes with grilled shrimp and blue cheese and it was delicious.“

“Christine was our server and she was quick and very personable. We enjoyed having her and appreciated her wonderful service. We went for a late dinner so there was no wait and we were seated right away. We got our drinks quickly and ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. They were fresh, great breading and very large. All the food was great and large portions. The prime rib and the gunslinger porterhouse were cooked perfect and seasoned perfect. The salad was fresh and crisp, baked potatoes were cooked well and the rolls were fresh. We will definitely be coming back.“

“I have been staying at the double tree for a little over 2 weeks now. The huevoes rancheros became my favorite dish. My waitress most mornings was Michaela. She is the bomb!! She greeted me with a welcoming smile every time. She is bubbly, funny and just great to have a conversation with. Thank you Michaela for being such a great waitress. There needs to be more waitresses like you. I look forward to seeing you at breakfast.“

That said, there were some detractions from the overall dining experience, ones that are easily fixed, low cost and big pay off to the restaurant and diners. See below.
- Warm the rolls served and ensure they are moist
- Ensure the lettuce in the salad is leafy and green, not just stems
- Don't over thin the salad dressing
- Warm the entree plates
- Wait staff needs to ensure the add-ons and sides are hot when served
- Lastly, the wine list was good, but have a high-end whiskey list. True lovers of great beef also like comparably great whiskeys, particularly out west. This would be a plus to the overall experience and profitable.“

“Came for my birthday celebration and though food and service was good it wasn't exceptional like for 5 stars. Don't take me wrong, it wasn't bad and the food tasted great but something about the service and the general atmosphere wasn't like out of this world. It's my second time eating at this particular location. Will I go back? Maybe. But won't be my top of the list as it can be a little pricey.“
