We went to Tucson Tamale Company for the first time yesterday. The restaurant was clean and the girl working there was very friendly. The only thing is that the food was extremely bland. We had the red and and green tamale, refried beans, Spicy Spanish rice and black beans. None of that had flavor that would make people want to go back. We couldn't even finish our food. We will definitely not be returning or recommending Tucson Tamales to anybody that likes flavorful food. Makes sense why the place was completely empty. This tamale company definitely doesn't represent tamales from Tucson. There's tons of other places to get yummier tamales.

I have been enjoying these tamales for a couple of months now. I live in North Carolina, and it's so nice to have found very good frozen tamales. I especially like the hot and spicy pork. I had seen these advertised at my Harris Teeter grocery store, but was having problems finding them in the Frozen section. Shame on me, but now I know exactly where they are, and grab a few every week. A wonderful, delicious and quick meal.

Clearly marked vegan tómale option. Yummy sides. Great lunch!

The tamales are so delicious I could eat a dozen of them. The Chipotle beef are phenomenal.

OH EM GEE! This place is so good! I went in last Thursday and wasn't sure what to get but the girl at the cashier, Emily, really helped me figure out what I would like. She was so friendly and was able to give great descriptions of each tamale. Then, in addition, the food tasted so good. I LOVE the green salsa! I will definitely be back.

Omg, I'm sorry but I am speechless. These tamales are an insult. Worst tamales I've EVER had!!! The green Chile one I was able to forcefully finish but the red one was inedible. I don't know how but The rice and beans are worse than the tamales. The rice is undercooked and super hard to chew. The beans have no flavor and are also hard. Crazy expensive for this nasty food. A whole office saying never ever ever again!

Today, i was served by this lovely young woman named Emalee. She was very friendly when I asked for a recommendation, in which she recommended the green corn tamale. It was the best tamale I've ever had in my life!! 5 stars!

Not sure what has happened to this place. Seems like tamales is an after thought. Only 2 indoor tables and rest of space for freezers for another brand of keto meals. Came last week after seeing all the delicious looking Facebook posts to be told they had no hot tamales. Came again today. Very limited hot options abd took a very very long time to get food. Don't think I'll be coming back. Sad because I have really liked this place for many many years.

Loved the tamales from Tucson Tamales at UA family weekend!

Just to update my initial review, after 45 minutes I gave up and walked out without ever getting served any food. My money was cheerfully refunded and apologies were offered. I walked across the parking lot to another food establishment and was served in 3 minutes. Need I say more?

Used to love this place, but they are more focused on their other business than they are on their tamales. We used to get their vegan tamales and now they aren't prepared to serve them in restaurant, per their employees and acted as if that request were a hassle.

Clerk was very friendly, helpful with our choices. Great tortillas. Tamales were lacking in flavor, maybe just the batch?

I was not impressed with either the chicken or beef tamale. The masa was a bit mushy(not cooked long enough?) but in their defense we were probably their first customers of the day. The rice was good and the ramekin sized pinto beans were okay. All in all, there are too many great tamales in Tucson for me to try so at least I can say that I've been here. The service was fast and very friendly , the place is clean and pricing is fair.

Total tamales today! Warm for eating now or frozen for later. Plus an offering of other types of Mexican cuisine and a lot to drink. Friendly helpful staff. Recommended.

TTC is a no-frills operation with delicious tamales and sides. The tamales plate is a great value, and they always have plenty of delicious fresh and frozen vegan and vegetarian options. The tortilla chips are sad, considering how great the rest of the food is- a nice, restaurant-style non-Tostito would elevate TTC to perfection. The salsa bar will be missed, if the pandemic has killed that forever.
