“What a fantastic evening. I took my two 30ish year old sons with their girlfriends and we all agreed - outstanding, excellent, exceptional. The magic was amazing - 1/2 of it was done right at our own table the other half on stage. The magicians were some of the best that we had even seen. You could tell they all loved their jobs!!!! The Mystery dinner was really fun and interesting! Food was wonderful and plentiful! Will go again.“

“First, let me say that these wonderful people (Marlee, Christi, Tara, and the Tucson crew) went above and beyond to help me set up a surprise anniversary meal for my wife. That is just who they are. However, the reason that YOU should go to Sweet Tomatoes is that it IS Sweet Tomatoes. As others have mentioned, we have missed this restaurant since it shut down a few years ago. This Tucson location (the only one currently open in the USA) is perfectly representative of the Sweet Tomatoes that we love and remember. The food is so fresh and delicious. We had such old favorites like Tuna Tarragon and Caesar Asiago Salad. The soups and pasta dishes were outstanding. We especially enjoyed the Roasted Ratatouille Soup and the Coconut Muffins. The atmosphere was excellent as the dining area and serving lines were laid out in the same way as they were back in the day. The staff here are so professional, helpful and friendly. They are the best. If you loved Sweet Tomatoes before, you will be delighted with this Tucson location. Let's hope that they will be opening up in more areas of the USA soon.“

“Service excellent, food inventive, delicious. Dark slick tile floors, unmarked change from floor to a step…there must be a bright reflective tape or paint for more than one site in the restaurant. I was injured falling having not seen nor felt the one step. Management was most solicitous and paid our bill. We would never have asked for this and were surprised and grateful.“

“First thing I say when we walk in, "OMG this place smells AMAZING!!", and tasted even better! Best falafel and gyro I've ever had!! I like that the falafel is patties instead of balls like most places. It was cooked perfectly..crispy crunchy on the outside, soft and almost cake-like on the inside. You get 4 cakes to the order plus pita bread, cucumbers and tomatoes. The gyro is HUGE!! I couldn't even pick it up to try and eat it until I ate some of the meat out of it, which btw, is flavored so beautifully that you don't really need the tzatziki sauce but definitely worth putting on bc the flavors of both go together so well! I HIGHLY recommend going to Istanbul if you want outstanding Mediterranean food in a good atmosphere! This place definitely get 👍👍 from this food enthusiast!!“

“I think it was a spicy Jim I had and the tomato burrata salad. I had water. Both were very good. Definitely eat this again and probably will soon.

Others each had pizza and a couple beverages.

Service was good.

Atmosphere was what is to be expected on a Friday night with playoffs on TV. Crowded and loud.

The place is nice.

It is not an inexpensive experience so be prepared. Easily in the $40.00+ per adult.

“I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I did. We tried the margherita and the verde pizzas and both were absolutely incredible. I'd highly recommend the combination of the two. The margherita was up there with pizzas I've tried in Napoli, which is saying something. The verde pizza was perfectly fresh, creamy, and tangy (not smokey). We also tried two of their seasonal appetizers and desserts, which were great. The interior and service were both excellent as well. This is a new go-to spot for me.“

“My family and I have been wanting to try Egusi and Fufu for a while. We had no idea what to expect and we ended up being blown away. The Egusi was incredibly flavored. We couldn't put our fingers on the flavors but it smelt and tasted very much like an Italian Mariana. Eating the Fufu with the Egusi is a must! It brings both foods to a different level. It's definitely a comfort food. We also purchased goat soup, chicken, salad and plantains. The goat was tender and gamey. The chicken was grilled, tender and had flavors that I couldn't decipher. It was flavors that we had never tasted before but we all agreed that it was amazing. The salad was easy, light and tasty. The plantains were out of this world! The best plantains that I've EVER tasted. The restaurant is a small "hole in a wall". It's also the CLEANEST hole in a wall that we'd ever visited. It's decorated with West African art, furniture and instruments. The entire restaurant, from the food, decor and amazing customer service makes this is a MUST try. We'll definitely be back. The prices are by far the cheapest in town and they offer entertainment at the dinner and the gaslight theater shows are a must see. With that said, yes there are some 1 stars on here, but all the 5 stars truly reflect what their business is all about. I highly recommend this diner for date night or a family night out. “It was my son's 10th birthday and I asked him where he wants to get lunch, and he said Pure Poke, I ordered the Dragon Bowl and let me tell you that it was beyond delicious and fresh in every way. Home made spicy sauces and fresh sashimi over the rice. Ill definitely be going back. Only part that sucks is I live 25 minutes away.“
