The food here is good. Maxim has built a good reputation however, their service is terrible. The girls behind the counter are not friendly, helpful or welcoming. We always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but I've been there a few times and each time, their service sucks. I guess they know that people will always go there so it doesn't matter to them. If you aren't picky about service and just want baked goods, then give it a try. If you want more of an experience then I'd skip them.

Went there today and see they had my favourite coconut buns that just came out of the oven. Tried to order 4 packages to go and find out CASH only?? No debit or credit, what the hell??? Who carries only cash these days…so disappointed!!!
Come here for pastries. Coconut cream bun was ok. Wife likes coconut swirl. I like curry beef turnover and bun. Plum cake good too. Chicken bun and turnover too mushy

Been here multiple times, one of the few places in GVA that I’d specifically make the trip out to.Note THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASHTaste 1/1*Definitely one of the better bakeries we’ve tried in the whole GVA.Their red bean pastries are my fav, wife likes their pineapple buns and Napoleon cake.Value 1/1*Prices may be slightly higher, but worth it as it always hits the spot!Service 1/1*If you aren’t used to it, they may sound slightly rude, but that’s just Cantonese ?Cleanliness 1/1*No complaintsOverall/Revisit 1/1*Would continue to returnAbove and beyond? 0/+1*

Although pastries are good here, but u cannot pay with debit or credit card here, they want you to pay cash, so they can save money on taxes, this is so wrong, I went there and I didn't have any cash on me, I offer e- transfer and debit but the sales lady was so rude, she took bread from hand and put it on side, don't suggest u to go there, go to Saint German or t&t, same quality but good customer service, no rudeness.

I am always a big fan of their assorted freshly made bread and pastries. They have cakes available as well but tasted almost the same with the ones in the supermarket across them but a little bit more pricy in comparison. Their transactions are cash-only basis and with the technology nowadays, I find it more convenient to just tap every chance I get. So for me it's an inconveniece when there's no other option to pay.
