Went here with a friend as he had randomly stumbled across it. The place is definitely a hole in the wall location but I was absolutely blown away by the food. The tacos I got were some of the best tacos I've ever had and brought me right back to my time in mexico. The prices were average but not too expensive and the location is cute and welcoming. Highly recommend and will be on the lookout for their food truck.

I am beating myself up for not trying this place sooner! This place is GREAT. After spending a fortune at Lucky Taco at River Distinct last weekend, I would rather go here ten times over. The portions are excellent for the pasta and very flavourful. We were here for when they had the Bites of Burnaby going on - three courses for $35. We got the tortilla soup, three tacos and a craffle. The soup was so good man. Super hearty. Tacos had double fajitas so you can make them into six tacos.Atmosphere is so cute. Love all the custom painted murals and portraits of local scenic spots along the Fraser River.Customer service is absolutely on point. The girl at the front has the best customer service I’ve seen in a while. Will be back many many more times :) to try for brunch next.

Flavourful food. Had tortilla soup and quesabirra. Partner had pasta which was also good. Generous portions.Met up with friend with our 2yr old toddler on Friday for dinner. It was pretty quiet. Good time was had by all.Kid-friendliness: I saw one high chair available for use. The bench chairs are nice and wide for mobile toddlers to sit on

This is my third visit to the place, the lady is friendly as usual and food is still amazing. They are currently offering a special menu because of Bite of Burnaby, including an appetizer, a main course, a desert with only $35!

Great spot hidden away in an industrial park. Fresh, clean ingredients. Delicious meals. The girl serving us at the counter had impeccable customer service skills. Breath of fresh air! Bonus, enjoy beautiful art work painted by one of the owner's family members. This place also caters. Food truck Addicks available.

Great little spot if you’re in the area - food is amazing, service friendly, and the place is cozy and inviting - I’ll definitely be back!
I came here today to enjoy a nice brunch with my friend for her birthday. We were so excited to try this place out. The croffle was delicious and coffee was delicious. Thats why I Atleast gave it three stars. I also ordered tacos but they were put into the box incorrectly and the box wasn’t even closed so everything went everywhere. The manager which was a male. Was extremely rude he got my order wrong which I am annoyed about. He made us feel like uneasy, and was super shaky and seemed very angry. He should not be a manager if he does not have people skills. He wasn’t polite. I sat outside because I brought my dog. It started it to rain a little so I tried to open the umbrella to the table and he asked me not to. So what was the point of the outdoor umbrella? He has a rude tone. And I wouldn’t go back inside to dine in again based off of the experience I had with the manager.

We recently visited OLIVO CAFE. It is located in an industrial complex in South Burnaby near the River District. Finding it might be a challenge — keep an eye out for the CAFE signage, but you'll need to get up close to spot the OLIVO CAFE name.We started with their 4 TACOS. From chicken to pork carnitas, beef, and fish, each taco was generously filled and bursting with flavour. The portions were so generous that we were almost half full just from these alone. Our top picks were the pork carnitas and fish tacos, offering a delightful spice level and bold flavours. We also tried the Chorizo Eggs Benedict — three poached eggs on English muffins topped with hollandaise sauce, served with potato tots and coleslaw. The combination of flavours and textures in this dish was simply delicious.Overall, OLIVO CAFE is a must-visit for affordable cafe-style eats with a Mexican twist. The vibrant decor featuring local artists' works adds to the cozy ambiance.??Food: ???? Should Try!Service: ????????Kids: ???? Yay!Presentation: ??Parking: ?? Parking lot can be busy depending on the time.Tips:? is a cafeteria-style setup: order and pay upfront at the cashier.? has spicy sauce available on the counter.? has a self-serve water station available.offers a section selling products from local designers.? has a Dog-friendly patio.Would I Return: Yes ?♀️

Great food, massive portions (on the pasta), quick service (it is self-serve, but food comes quickly), and just a great little hidden gem of a place.
