I was extremely disappointed with my experience. Like another reviewer, it felt like they prioritize takeout over dine-in customers. I received my Miso Soup 30 minutes after ordering, and after nearly an hour of waiting for my food, I inquired about the delay with the server. She went to check but never returned. I left feeling hungry and incredibly disappointed. Needless to say, I won't be returning.

The day we were there, a birthday party of young girls was SO loud that it really affected the meal. The food was good, but given the slow services and the poor atmosphere, the total experience was lowered.

Food is bare minimum for quality and is quite overpriced. I had a very basic teriyaki chicken with watered down teriyaki sauce, salty dynamite roll and rubbery wild salmon for $30. The staff was friendly though but yeah I dont think I'll be coming back. I couldn't give them a 3 but I'd give it a 2.5..

Wow, it has been more than 3 years since I have been back here! OMG This place is still alive and still busy after the pandemic. Yes, this place is categorized as budget sushi, that is not that bad. I mean with Sushi Garden hiking their prices to the sky now, I think this place is A LOT more worth it now and on top of that, in my neighbourhood.The quality of the cooked food is one of the best though tbh. Their deep fried chicken (karage) and their tempura were on point. On top of that, their sushi rolls were decently priced too. The price were cheap for post pandemic, and on top of that they are a local business that has been there for YEARS! Yes, it is owned by a Chinese guy and a family, but at the same time it has been a part of the Burnaby Heights community for years and it is not that bad of a restaurant located here.Support your local businesses as this is part of the Burnaby Heights community pillar.

Another awesome lunch at Take Sushi on Hastings St in Burnaby. A wonderful modification on the Sunshine Roll to meet my Gluten Free needs. The mango is such a nice touch!!This is pairing nicely with my favorite Spicy Salmon Roll. The seared salmon was out of this world delicious and melted like butter as I bit into it.Arigatō Chef. SUGOI!!!!
