Comfort Chinese food. Quick, Chinese diner style restaurant. A great place to come along for a quick bite. No judgement. A few tables for larger groups, and a few longer tables to seat the lone diners. The usual staples - wonton soup, BBQ meats ready to chop, noodles, fried rice, congee, etc. I had lunch combo A (bowl of white rice, topped with BBQ pork and soy chicken, with generous side of wonton soup) and was full when I left. Less than $15. Prices are quite reasonable, and service was quick. In and out with plenty of time to spare on my lunch break.Parking: Nice.

It’s a waste of money ordering food here. Their deep fried fish is mostly coated with flour and has been over fried. Taste like a fried flour and not fish so we end up throwing it to the garbage ..

The night of Jan.17,2024, I ordered a take out meal from Hon’s Chinese restaurant in Coquitlam, BC; we called in the order at 5:40 and asked them to have it ready for 6:30; arrived for picked at 6:20 and the order was ready; paid for it with debit card.. Back home we prepared 2 plates; the chicken balls, lemon chicken and dry pork, were all very overcooked, dry, tough, and flavourless; At that point, decided to return the order for a refund..At the restaurant, staff reluctantly tried processing a refund on same debit card unsuccessfully; 4 attempts were made, then it was suggested we had a problem with our debit card, which seemed odd, 90 minutes after payment was made on their card reader; this went on for 15 minutes, they refused to give us a cash refund claiming they had to get approval from owner, and that they would call back next day/ never called, I had to call them. Went to bank to check card status, which was ok, no lockouts or problems. Later that next day went back to restaurant, and conflict ct with staff continued; VERY reluctantly and with vitriolic language, was given our money back in cash with the proclamation that “ if we don’t like the food, don’t come back”. Outrageous treatment of customers, especially with the poor quality of our order; told them as I was leaving: “ don’t worry, we’re NOT. Coming back, and most likely any of our friends will either when they hear this story”

Coming from a Chinese person, this is NOT authentic Cantonese food. Food is not up to quality. The yum cha place at Henderson and Neptune(Coquitlam centre) would be the better option.

I feel like the quality of the chasiu has gone down :( hopefully it was just the one off scenario but so far I don’t think I will be ordering this to go for price, portion and quality. The meat used to be much more tender with better sauce for the rice. It just didn’t really encompass the usual comfort food feelings.
