The food wasn’t bad, but the service was lacking and when said we were paying in cash, the server kept pushing the machine telling us to look at the tip. The first time we assured her that we will include it when we pay in cash and yet she kept pushing after we assured her several times. Eventually we felt like we had to really get annoyed before she walked away. The restaurant was empty and after the food was served she was nowhere to be found, we couldn’t even get more water or tea.She made the end of the meal very unpleasant with all the pushing and we will not be visiting again.

I was craving Sichuan numbing flavours for a week. I looked on my lunch break at many different restaurants hoping to find something perfect to satisfy my craving. I had not heard of this restaurant previously, but just did a google search and read reviews and looked at pictures. I am so happy that I chose this restaurant because the flavour was exactly what I was thinking of.I don’t usually write a review but it was so good I have to. I ordered Fish Filet in Hot Chilli Oil, Wonton in Chilli Oil, Rice Noodle with Sliced Beef and a small side of plain rice. The wontons were spicy with a bit of numbing. They had thin not too doughy wrapping with enough sauce, twelve wontons and a good sesame oil flavor. There was no chewy cartilage inside, that usually throws me off. 10/10The fish fillet in hot chilli oil I asked for really extra spicy. It came with a very good spice level. I probably could’ve handled a little bit more, but the flavour was amazing and I’m glad the spice did not overtake it. The fish tasted fresh and it was a good quantity and a good numbing taste. I put it over the steamed rice. 10/10Pan fried rice noodle with beef was good. It was a bit too oily for my liking, but it made the noodles not stick together as much as usual. There still were some bits that were stuck together, which I like, as it adds to the chewiness. The noodles had a good chewiness, and there was a lot of beef in the order more than most places would put. The flavour was a bit plain, I would have enjoyed some spice like cumin or something. It wasn’t my favorite in the area, but I still liked it and ate it with a smile. If I didn’t like it, I wouldn’t have eaten it. 7/10I could not stop eating the fish and wontons, it was so good. I’m so impressed. I’ll be back again for sure to try other things like maybe the beef noodle soup.

The décor is very modern and nice and there are lovely pictures on the wall. It is in a mall so there is parking on site but the mall parking can be difficult to find as there is a large Korean restaurant – Insadong in the same mall and they have a lot of customers. We were directed to a table when we arrived. Most of the time that we were here there was only 1 other table that was occupied. The waitress was not particularly helpful. When we asked how the green beans were prepared she just said that they were fried (nothing that we could not tell from looking at the menu). We ordered beef and broccoli, sizzling chicken with black bean and rice. The food was decent, not great and chicken wasn’t as spicy as I would have expected from a Szechuan restaurant. The service as non-existent. Menus were on the table when we sat down. The waitress took our order after her pitiful description of the green beans. The food arrived quickly. We were not offered more hot water for the tea. At no time was there any inquiry as to whether the food was okay. Absolute zero interaction with us or the other table until we asked for our bill. The servers were just standing in the back of the restaurant looking around and looking at their phones. This is the level of service when there are only 2 tables occupied. Don’t expect any service at all if you go to this restaurant. We certainly didn’t feel like our business was wanted or appreciated. If I could give 0 for service I would. I thought my husband was too generous with a 10% tip. Definitely I would not return. Go to Insadong just up from them in the same mall – better service and food.

First time visit. Order ma po tofu and wonton soup. Tofu dish tasted soapy, bitter and left a “fizzing” like burning sensation after the first 2-3 bites. Wonton bland pork without any added flavour notes or textures. When is it ok or normal for food to to taste soapy and bitter?

Good dishes:干锅鸡翅 (The wings should be crunchy but often turn out soggy. They still taste great all the time anyway.)重庆辣子鸡 (Seasonings are the same as 干锅鸡翅; these are just made with boneless chicken bits instead of wings.)四川回锅肉 (This has great flavour, but 70% of this dish consists of cabbage and other non-五花肉 fillers.)红油抄手 (HQ is where I had this particular style of wonton for the first time. The pork filling tastes great. Significantly spicer than the other dishes in this list.)Dishes that I ordered once and never will again:宫保鸡丁 (It's not as bad as some of the variations I've had at other places in Vancouver and nearby areas, but still. It was very different from what I was expecting.)

This restaurant has absolutely delicious food and the service is always great! Not to mention the decent portion size as well! All in all would definitely recommend.

We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. The food came in good time and tasted ok. We were seated in the first table on the right, so we could see behind the counter.A takeout order came out through the kitchen and the waiter was packing it up. I was shocked to see that he stuck his hand in the box, took a piece out and stuffed it in his mouth!!It was horrendous. The rest of the food was then packed, left on the side and someone came and took it later.I won't be back again, despite that the food was ok.

This place has the best shanghainese food in the lower main land that I’ve tried. It’s super spicy just like how they make it in China. The fish in oil is so delicious and so is the cold chicken in oil. The service is also pretty good and the portions are decent too. Will be coming back pretty often as it reminds me of my childhood :)

If I could give zero stars I would. We placed an online order tonight at 6pm for delivery and the restaurant decided to cancel our order at 6:55pm. Now I have two hungry kids and I have to find dinner elsewhere. I won’t be ordering from here again. It’s too bad because the food is good but the customer service is nonexistent.

This place was super clean and had nice decor. I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants where they do not pay attention to the decor but the ambiance was nice. The food was served so quick and it was tasty. Definitely recommend!

If you love SPICY Szechuan you find so many delicious dishes here. There are many non spicy dishes too if spicy isn't your thing. We started with some drinks, we love pairing spicy Chinese food with Chinese beer. They also had soju, I'm guessing it's a must since this restaurant is in K-town. Our first dish was "Fish fillets in hot chili oil", this was spicy. It also had those numbing peppercorns which I love. To clean the pallet and cool down the heat we ordered "Shredded cabbage dry pot". The cabbage was cooked perfectly with still a bite. I also had to try the Szechuan style cold grass jelly because I was curious, it's definitely worth a try if you like spicy and your adventurous. The menu is overwhelming with so many options so be prepared! Can't wait to go back soon and try more!!
