“Tasty Donair. 13711 72 Ave, Surrey, BC Recently went to Tasty Donair. They serve some terrific shawarmas and platters. It's run by two sisters who gave us a tour of the place and how they make the donairs. According to them they are certified by Halal Transaction of Omaha and BCMA. Their prices are very affordable, the place was clean and their Donairs were delicious. The harissa sauce they use is very similar to Abdul's. It is a great spot to grab a Donair right across from Fab Burgers.“
“I come here whenever I’m in the area for my eye appointments and it never disappoints. Both the platters and donairs are delicious. I also tried the homemade custard, baklava, and cherry pie this time which were all delicious. Mona, the owner, is so friendly and sweet and gave me a free shot of espresso to go with my baklava. I highly recommend this spot!“
“Haven’t had this type of food before. It was tasty. The beef kebab came first but it took one hour to get the beef bun, which was filled with juice and firm ground meat. I enjoyed dipping it in the pepper. They were fairly busy and many people were first time visitors, not knowing where to order. Service was excellent, great people.“
“They might have the best service I've ever seen in any restaurant, and it's consistently good every time I come, both to me and all the guests who come in.And the food absolutely makes it worthwhile. Of all things, my favourite is the poutine with chicken. It's a full meal on its own, and it's one of the best I've had anywhere. But the plates are really good too, and filling.Totally worth the time!“
“So tasty and deliciously satisfying! Tender, juicy kebab wrap marinated to perfection, nestled in a warm, fluffy bread alongside salad and a tangy sauce that elevates every bite. Whether for a quick lunch or indulging in a flavorful dinner, this wrap is sure to satisfy your cravings and leave you longing for another bite. Highly recommended for any kebab enthusiast!"“
“Absolutely fantastic donair spot run by a very nice fellow Canuck fan. The guy running this spot always has a smile and is pleasant to order from. Additionally the donair itself is fantastic with probably the freshest vegetables I've had from a donair spot. Prices are reasonable as well and good portion sizing. Highly recommend for a quick bite to eat.“
“My coworkers and I enjoy getting our lunches here, especially the chicken plate! Great quality and super tasty and always fresh. The staff are very quick and friendly and the place is always busy but the line moves quickly. I wish I took a picture to post but it’s just that delicious!!☺️❤️ So good!!“
“We dined here tonight as part of Bite of Burnaby. We both ordered the prix fixe menu and one 3 course wine pairing. If you have never been the Hart House is a lovely, quaint old heritage building (so there is the occasional ant visiting, and the A/C is open window(s) - keep that in mind on a hot non-breezy day). The service was attentive, friendly and excellent (other than a delay of several minutes before the arrival of the dessert wine caught up with the dessert). The meal began with a surprise: a delicious amuse bouche with duck and hummus in a pastry shell. We both had the Caesar salad (after all its the Ides of March LOL). Fresh, mild with caramelized bacon zing. The mains were the Short Rib and Steelhead. I couldn't have been happier with the Short Rib. It makes me want to come back and have it again tomorrow. The Steelhead was also delicious. However, the pickled turnip was inconsistent and clashed terribly with the wine, which otherwise paired beautifully with the Steelhead. So ...use it as a palate cleanser and alternate it and the wine with the main in-between. Worked out well.I had the pair-me-with-pear cocktail and it was a tickle for the tastebuds throughout the meal.We both had the maple creme brulee and it made Canada proud. Fantastic layers of hard vs silk, warm vs cold, sweet vs ...sweeter. Divine.I definitely recommend going during Bite of Burnaby! I would happily go again.Parking: Reasonable number of spots a short walk from the restaurant.“
“I loved the donair. We got the lamb and it was yummy. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve had. The guy who runs the place is friendly, and I was told he has been around for a couple of decades. There is no sitting - you are served through a window. The menu on a screen and his entire operations can be seen clearly through the window. I am definitely coming back!“
“Amazing service and atmosphere and of course amazing food as well. Got the calamari and the butter shrimp and that was fantastic with the pita bread that came with it.Taziki so delicious I had to get 2 extra Taziki’s. Got the lamb souvlaki for my main and that was cooked to perfection. Rice and salad was absolutely fresh and delicious and the timing of the food and appetizer was perfect. The servers are super nice and considerate, and very friendly.Highly recommend checking them out !!“
“I stumbled upon Gino’s while searching for a restaurant to cater a party for 35 people. I ordered some pizzas, Greek food and pasta. All of the food was excellent and the service and communication from Bill, the owner, was top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend Gino’s to anyone!“
“The service was awesome. The lady who served us that night was professional, friendly and made us feel very comfortable. The food was incredible. Super delicious, very very filling, large portions and tons of nutritional value. Definitely worth the price if you get any dish there. Definitely would come back!“
“Wonderful experience with the Balkan House team organizing our birthday party for 35+ people. Entertainment group was fabulous, knowing every song we requested, the food was tasty, wine simply perfect. Family style restaurant, relaxing, homy feel. This is not our first experience with the BHR and certainly will not be the last. Thank you!“
“I've been looking for a good shawarma place in Burnaby and this is it. The potatoes and toum would have done it for me. But everything had great flavour. The falafel held up really well. It's clear that they care about making good food. I will be back for sure.“
“This is not your normal restaurant. This is more like a casual hangout cafe. Walked in to order because I couldn't find a menu online. 0rdered the platter for one and sausage, it was more than enough for 2 people. Platter comes with lots of different favorful meats served with rice and grilled veggies. Try it! Call ahead to pickup!“
“Came from out of town, was looking for Mediterranean style food and I saw this place on google maps. If you want to eat something different you should buy the Shakshuka plate. Also the Falafel is amazing. The place is a bit hidden inside a building, but it is still in the ground floor as soon as you enter in the corner of Oak and 41st av.Coffee is really good, they use amazing beans from Milano coffee roasters.“
“Came here after a long day of classes from Langaroo!Amazing food!! I could smell the deliciousness coming from outside the cafe!!!The lady working here was very kind and recommended that I get one of the plates for dinner :)I ordered for dine-in, but they package the food in plastic containers regardless. I chose to take it home to eat LOL!Vegetarian options: Falafel is vegetarian! There were also vegetarian side dishes too :3“
“A favourite bar in Vancouver for light snacks & aperitifs. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food & beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere & service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 - 5 PM.“
“Good food fresh cooked and friendly staff good atmosphere . Love this place and highly recommend for Greek cuisine lover another best place in New Westminster here ..very convenient you also can park inside of the building behind London drug ..inside the resturant have the restroom accessible for handicap people..Yannis Greek Taverna is well known Resturant for this area you will love it !!“
“Seems like a family run restaurant because it felt homely. The food was good and affordable. I had the lamb souvlaki and I really can't complain. The waitress was very welcoming. The atmosphere was quiet so my friend and I could talk. They close early so you have to get there “
