Update Feb 2024.Went back. New Owners and all. Went at 5 PM for dinner. Steak sandwich was the Special. Was OK.However, pub was 75 % full. And the NOISE level was at 1000%. I have never been in such a noisy place. Where you have to yell to communicate with your partner sccross the table.Unfortunately, will not be back because this high pitch noise is unbearable. Since the reno, which consisted of removing the carpets and painting the entire place grey. A few nautical s added. Place is busier not sure why the menu is short, and really not great value. The happy hour menu is awful. The beer specials are good. The wait staff is also good. I would like to see chicken wings, riblets, etc. the individual poutine is good but the Truffle fries are not. I still like this place and hope that these issues are just growing pains.

It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Speeds and very pleased with our dining experience. We shared the smash burger and fish and chips. The food was excellent. Looking forward to visiting Speeds more often.
