“Best coffee in town, hands down! We love the crepes (spinach and artichoke is my main go to, but I have yet to taste one I didn't love), but their iced coffees hit that special spot when I'm out to treat myself. Everyone is always so friendly and I always feel welcome. D and her team have done incredibly. We love you all ♥️“

“The food is good, coffee is great and the staff are nice. Busy little spot. We had a mix up with our order, the owner came out and gave us a gift card for the inconvenience, which was unexpected, but appreciated. I have since been back multiple times and it was great.“

“First time and would definitely go again. The Owl's Nest is a warm feels like home bistro, nestled in the heart of Chemainus. You'll feel relaxed and a little taken back, with the country like decor...(making me think back to when being at my Nana's house as a kid)A relaxing/chill vibe the moment you open the door. The aroma of fresh brewed coffee, the smells of home cooked bakery and other dishes, will have you wanting to return again and again.“

“This charming little cafe is amazing. The food is home made comfort and always delicious. The staff is happy and helpful, the best thing here is that folks of differing abilities get work experience and training. “Went for coffee-it was so good-half of us ended up having breakfast! They said best hash browns ever!My scone was yummy and I had a half sweet London Fog-the seating was amazing-the outdoor spots were lovely!Parking: Prob spots for 10 cars or so out front-but the cafe can be accessed by a walking/bike trail so lots of folk won’t need a parking spot. The cafe is along the Ladysmith to Chemainus walking/biking trail that goes by Stocking Creek“
“This restaurant has just added daily specials and tonights was the fish and chips, one piece of superbly battered cod and a pile of french fries for $12.99, you could upgrade, which I did to two pieces for an extra $6.00. The only catch! was that you had to buy a beveridge and there are loads of great beer on tap, so that wasn't a problem. Julie also provided gratis a small dessert which again was excellent. With the wonderful views over the Mount Brenton Golf Course its well worth the trip from Ladysmith, will have to try the riubs which I understand is the Monday special.“

“We stopped in on our vacation to British Columbia at Ladysmith to have breakfast. Wild Poppy was our choice . I felt like I was in heaven seeing all the gluten and dairy free choices. The food was excellent and the staff super friendly . I was hoping the Wild Poppy Market would open a store in Sault Ste. Marie , Ontario. What a blessing that would be. Thank you“
