“I’m actually in the restaurant now. We came in on a Saturday at 1.30 pm. We tried to order wine but were told wine was not available till happy hour at 2pm. I had a beer and waited. I tried at 2pm and was told I had a choice of one white or red house wine of which I had never heard of. I declined and decided I order wine at home. This is simply ridiculous. It’s a “upper” scale restaurant and I can’t see or order from a white list. Changes need to be made. The burger was excellent. My wife was also frustrated with the inability to order a glass of wine.”

“I recently tried a Chicken Donair from Donair City, and it turned out to be a memorable experience. What immediately caught my attention was the sheer size—these are hands down the biggest donairs in Maple Ridge, and they’re packed generously from end to end.

The chicken itself was moist, flavourful, and clearly marinated with care. It had that perfect balance you hope for: full of seasoning without being salty, juicy without being greasy. Their vegetable spread was bright and fresh, and I loaded mine with onions and tomatoes—each adding its own texture and punch of flavour.

Even though I didn’t get the proprietor’s name, the service was warm, attentive, and downright welcoming. There’s a sense of pride in how the food is put together—nothing rushed, nothing skimpy.

What stood out most to me was the consistency of their marination and the care put into the overall flavour profile. Every bite tasted intentional. The specialty of this Donair was that it had its consistency akin to something pan seared and bbq flame grilled taste.

If you’re in Maple Ridge and craving something satisfying, filling, and well-made, Donair City deserves a spot at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be going back.”

People are very friendly and Kind, and it’s very close to the Rapid Bus stop which makes it a good place to wait for my bus and grab a quick bite. Love this Place!”

We ordered one Oreo cookie shake to split, our waitress offered to pour it into 2 glasses, they also topped both with whipped cream and Oreo crumbles! We never order the tower of onion rings because of how big they are but, they now have a smaller one that comes with 6 rings called The O-Ring Shorty, genius! I ordered the southern charm burger, soo delicious! And my boyfriend ordered the Smoke & Pepper, he foolishly made his monster style by adding an additional patty, which he could not finish 🤣 The place was extremely busy, while following social distancing measures. Our waitress was very nice an attentive, we will definitely be back!”

“This is a wonderful cafe. I fell in love with the place the moment I saw their assortment of baked goods when I entered the establishment. The cafe was very busy when I came on a Tuesday afternoon, yet I still found a table for myself. I only came in for a drink and a snack, however, that was enough to make up my mind. I ordered the Spanish Latte with the Pumpkin Spiced Cream Muffin and the Cappuccino Cream Puff. The latte was potent with that espresso flavour while having that nice balance of earthy and creamy piquancy in the drink. The muffin was fresh and full of flavour, thanks to the pumpkin cream filling and the toppings. The Cappuccino Cream Puff was spectacular; everything about it was tasty from the powdered sugar on top to the light cream-filling. The aesthetic has a modern yet traditional design to its countenance with its spacious studio structure and brick wall to the antiquated decor and antiques. The service was quite good and have no complaints against. I hope the next time I come to Gratia, it will be for a full lunch, so I could try their sandwiches or brunch choices.”
