We specifically were craving Halibut. We were also celebrating 50 years of friendship and a birthday. Our food was delicious, the portions were generous and the price was fair, not over inflated. "Maggie" herself was a delight, very friendly and welcoming. A steady flow of take out and inside dining. Super customer service and yummy food, a fabulous combination! Give them a try.
We've been going to Maggie's for 2 years or more and no other fish and chips place comes even close to them. The owner’s are always friendly and work their butts off every day. We could all learn something from their work ethic and devotion to making this place great. I highly recommend Maggie's as not once have we been disappointed.

This has to be one of the best places in Nanaimo to get fish. We got the 2 piece haddock meal each and it comes with a ton of fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce. The fish is perfectly crispy fish was cooked perfect fries were seriously like biting into fluffy clouds. The service was super friendly and all around great atmosphere.
