Very old pub. Beer was good, service with bartender lady great. She was prompt, friendly & welcoming. I've heard from others the food is good there, however I didn't have enough time this trip.
Authentic Nanaimo breakfast experience. They use quality eggs and bacon with classic breakfast sausages. Their prices have more than doubled the past few years. However, a 12 dollar breakfast is still a bargain.

Lots of regulars favour this comfortable old bar, which has a decent selection of draught beer. I prefer my draught served in a straight glass but mugs are all that's available here. I didn't eat but saw others eating and they appeared to be enjoying it. I was hoping for Guinness on tap - they only had cans - but I enjoyed the cider I chose. Convenient location, friendly atmosphere. Come during happy hour if you can, when beer is $5.75, cider $7.00.
