Yum Son Reviews
Great food and service! The cocktail list is interesting and creative. I had the Marlin Brando. Sweet and tart deliciousness. They have a lunch special that sounded really good but I chose the Yum-Son noodle bowl. The meat was done perfectly and the sauce and other “stuff” was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had the yellow curry. Also excellent!
My only negative was the tip prompt on the pos terminal started at 22%.... I think that’s an industry trend though.
I believe we've found OUR little spot in Nelson, everything is just delicious, presentation of the dishes is awesome, portions are great and the service was wonderful, highly recommend, we're coming back soon...
You should try their Bone Broth Caesar and definately order the Coliflower wings, both of them are out of this world!
Everything is so yummy! One of my favorite places to eat in Nelson 😍

Yum Son offers a memorable dining experience with standout dishes such as chicken wings, cauliflower "wings", pork bao buns, and banh mi. The menu accommodates various dietary preferences, including vegetarian options. The restaurant features a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Yum Son is also kid-friendly, with high chairs available for toddlers.
Customers praise the restaurant's fantastic food, cocktails, and service. The wide selection of vegan options, as well as the punchy and fresh flavors of the dishes, including the pork and mushroom bao buns, veggie and meat spring rolls, banh mi, and noodle bowls, have impressed diners. The bartender's recommended cocktails and mocktails also receive high praise. One customer was particularly impressed by the sockeye salmon burger, describing it as the best burger they've ever had.
The restaurant's prices are a concern for some customers, who find certain items, such as spring rolls and pho bowls, to be on the higher side. However, others note that the cauliflower bites and cocktails are well worth the visit.
