This spot used to be one of my favourite sushi places in the Lower mainland. Up until the last year when they changed their menu to the most basic list of items ever.
Seems they have shifted to promoting Bento boxes and less individual dishes.”

I pulled up to the drive-thru window and small talked with the young lady. Soon, I was blurting it out. You girls, you all get mammogram! You don't need a doctors referral.
The BK employee then handed me a Crown and said something like I could be Queen for my surgery. You got this! Then the next lady came over and she too brought me a BK Crown.
I was very touched by this moment. When they wheeled me into the OR I thought of the Crown and smiled inside.”

“This place is by far the best burger spot I’ve tried in Vancouver! I really value that they always honor my request to avoid single-use items it shows how much they care about their customers. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are consistently kind and attentive, which makes every visit enjoyable. Their signature It Char Burger is a must-try, but I also recommend the Korean Spicy if you want something with a kick. The quality is excellent for the price, and it’s definitely a place I’d love to revisit and introduce to my friends.”

“I’ve been far and wide, coast to coast, and for the West Coast this is hands down the best poutine you can find. The fries are golden, crispy, and homemade — straight cut with just the right thickness. The cheese curds? Easily the best I’ve ever had anywhere west of Quebec. The steamy dog all dressed is a true classic, and hard to come by out here, but this is the place to get it if you’ve been craving that authentic bite. Bravo. I’ll definitely be back. 10/10.”

“Excellent quality and delicious tasting sushi rolls at Woomi in New Westminster. Located inside a mall, this place offers excellent high quality sushi rolls at very reasonable and affordable prices.

Ordered the Sunshine Roll and Red Dragon roll. The dragon roll was spot on, the sashimi was fresh and the sauce flavours were great. Everything tastes fresh. The sunshine roll was also very good. Big large pieces of salmon sashimi that was great.

I’ll definitely will be coming back to this spot, it’s certainly a hidden gem for a sushi spot. The place is takeout only but there are seats inside the mall.

I simply have to share our fantastic experience with the Columbia Street Sandwich Company in New Westminster! When my son Adam got married on July 5th, we had a large wedding party staying at the Inn at the Quai, and the morning-of fueling was a top priority. We needed a vendor who could not only prepare delicious breakfast and lunch but also deliver it precisely on time to our hotel. And let me tell you, Sam, the owner, and her incredible team absolutely knocked it out of the park!

Breakfast was a dream come true for ten hungry people getting ready for the big day: a perfect combination of delicious breakfast sandwiches, fresh baked goods, a vibrant fresh fruit plate, and a carafe of piping hot coffee. The best part? Sam herself delivered it right on schedule!

Lunch was equally impressive, featuring a delightful mix of mini croissant sandwiches, a hearty veggie plate, and a refreshing assortment of water and juices to wash it all down. And again, delivered on time by Sam!

Beyond the fantastic food, the value for dollars spent was truly exceptional. Sam was the epitome of professionalism, never once trying to upsell us or push for more than we needed. She genuinely cared that everything went smoothly, and it absolutely did.

Pairing with the pickle is genius, bread is great too. Photo's worth a thousand words and it looks sub par here but the flavour is something beyond that.
Not to mention the wonderful atmosphere and a store that actually cares about the community, prices are usual cafe prices but more than worth it for the cool ingredients, good stuff!”

We both had the Bulgogi Lover and we both were lovers of it. The plate may look kinda small but it has a good portion of food. We both left full and happy. “I went in for dinner with a couple friends, having never tried East African cuisine before, because I really wanted to try injera. We got the vegetarian combo for two, kapreto, and hummus, all to share, and oh my lord. Every single part of the dish was absolutely incredible. All of the flavors were so good, on their own and mixed together with anything else. Every bite was different, the varying levels of spice played so well together, the meat and vegetables were all so juicy. We dug in so fast that we didn't even take pictures, we ate until we were all completely stuffed and there was still food left on the table, and before tip it was a little under $20 per person. I haven't been blown away by a restaurant in a long time. The server was very sweet as well. Going to be coming back here again and again!”

“Had an amazing lunch today at Sapperton District Taphouse. I ordered the House Salad with cajun chicken and my daughter had the Kung Pao Noodle Bowl. We both loved our meals! We also tried the Moscow Mule they have on tap and a pint of the Vertical Winter Ale from Tree (drank that too fast to take a pic, so good). We felt very comfortable the whole time. Lots of covid restrictions in place and we especially liked that our utensils came individually packed and sanitized. We found out this place is entirely locally owned and they have a cold beer & wine store inside!! We took home some Rock Creek Cider on our way out. We will definitely be coming back soon.”

But I like the taste and texture.

I tried their chicken fried rice and fried chicken with dry peppers.
Fried rice was average and had 20% chicken and 80% rice, I shared with another person as we are small rice eaters.

They have a seating capacity for 12. And tables were already taken on Sunday during lunch hours.
