“A friend who lived in the neighbourhood brought me here, saying this was one of his favorite spots. I decided to humor him, unsure of what to expect.

I can't get enough of this place.

The food is unreal. I was hooked on the first bite of the pita and dips appetizer - everyone I know who tries the garlic dip agrees that it is mind-blowing. The salads, the chicken, the rice, I haven't had a dish here that I didn't fall in love with.

And the service is superb! Everyone who works here is so friendly and welcoming, they genuinely care about the customers. I feel cared for whenever I walk in through the door.

I've been telling everyone I know about this place, and look forward to bringing more of them with me on my next visit!”

“Vadapav Mirchi is one of our favorite places to eat whenever we visit Vancouver. We’ve been coming here for the last three years, and the food has been consistently excellent every single time.

The Vada Pav is fantastic and takes me right back to Maharashtra. We also loved the Bhajji, Thalipeeth, and Sol Kadi each one was full of authentic flavors and tasted just like what you’d find back home. What stood out the most on our recent visit was the Puran Poli and Amti. The Puran Poli tasted just like the one my mom makes at home, which is probably the best compliment I can give. It’s not often you find that kind of homemade flavor in a restaurant.”

“Me and my husband wanted to try out the food here, so we ordered a takeout. We got the Shanghai noodle with chicken, curry beef, honey prawns, honey garlic chicken, spicy deep fried chicken, and tofu beef soup (I dont remember the exact names). The price for all of this is reasonable I would say, but we did ordered a lot. All were delicious and filling! The portions were just right, not too small or too much, which is what I like. We will definitely come back here when were craving for Chinese food! Sorry I couldn't take photos, we ate the food immediately when we got home.”

“We met up with friends for dinner at this restaurant we had seen on social media. We ordered a variety of appetizers, including sashimi, sushi, a dinner combo, and tempura. While everything was delicious, except for the tempura, which was given to us a second time, the coating was too heavy and thick, making it heavy and not light. Otherwise, the food was great, and the staff was fantastic, friendly, and attentive to our drinks.”

“we were not very happy arriving 10 mins after opening and having to wait for a table for over 5 mins. no one in the restaurant. That was by the operational manager. Our Waiter (Bartender) was awesome!!!”

Best Sushi you will find in New Westminster, the quality of the salmon, the generous portions, and he local full of beautiful plants 🪴 the “irashaimase” greeting in the entrance, overall we had a beautiful experience. I love this tiny little sushi place.”

I pulled up to the drive-thru window and small talked with the young lady. Soon, I was blurting it out. You girls, you all get mammogram! You don't need a doctors referral.
The BK employee then handed me a Crown and said something like I could be Queen for my surgery. You got this! Then the next lady came over and she too brought me a BK Crown.
I was very touched by this moment. When they wheeled me into the OR I thought of the Crown and smiled inside.”

“Anny’s Dairy Bar is the best place to try amazing poutine and smoked meat sandwich without going to Montreal. Actually, I think it’s better than a lot of places we tried in Montreal. We shared the smoked meat sandwich and regular-sized poutine and it was the right amount of food for two people. The cheese curds in the poutine was delightfully squeaky, the gravy was deliciously viscous and the fries were nicely crispy. I’m slightly more partial to the smoked meat sandwich, which used soft bread and the most tender meat, pairing nicely with the pickle. Don’t sleep on the maple ice cream - it’s so good.”

“First time here and blow away. Not a dine in place … pickup or eat at the tables near by. But as a sushi lover this place was INCREDIBLE. Try the WOOMI roll. Best bang for your buck and so flavourful. 10/10”

“Ordered through the app, classic BOGO. Got the Hawaiian and it was good. Full of pineapple, just the way I like it. The tomato sauce was a too heavy handed though. Got the 2-topping pizza: chicken and red peppers. Notified them to make sure there is enough chicken. Not asking for much, just needed good amount and not scarcely spread like some other places. The two ladies who were making the pizza acknowledged my request and they did not undercut me! Thank you. Visited washroom and noticed washroom is clean. Only thing to work on is, please have the pizza dough made a bit thicker. It's tooooo thin, almost like flat bread. And please cut the pizza through. Is the cutter not sharp enough? Not sure. But overall, still decent job. Oh, also got the slices of cheese pizza on the side and my picky kids loved the slices. Better on white sauce than on tomato sauce.”

“We found this unnasuming burger store tucked away inside the Royal Square Mall. The burger was big enough to share. It was flavourful, hearty and fresh. Reminded me of a delicious home-made burger. The chicken and fries was fried to perfection. Crispy and moist. Loved the garlic aoli sauce that comes with it. Best part is the price was affordable.”

“My friend took me here for my birthday dinner and it was so great! Food was delicious, got the spicy Kalamari and chicken souvlaki which were both delicious. Chicken was tender not dry. Our server was also very kind and helpful. Would for sure come back!”

“Lovely brewery tucked away in New West with great community energy. They have a great selection of pours and some simple food offerings. Love that they have outdoor seating where you can soak up the sun with your dogs. The staff also thoughtfully served some water to our pups”

“This was our first visit and we immediately fell in love with this cafe. From the beautifully decorated interior and art pieces to the music, the staff, and the overall vibe — everything about this place feels special and thoughtfully put together.

I ordered the hojicha latte while my husband had a drip coffee. The hojicha latte was hand-whipped and incredibly aromatic — I could actually smell the roasted tea fragrance before taking the first sip. My husband said the drip coffee was excellent as well.

We also found out that the cafe turns into a bar at night and hosts all kinds of events like open mic nights and magic shows, which makes the place even more interesting.

Such a fun and unique spot. Definitely somewhere I’d love to come back to and explore more.”

“Great hidden cafe/restaurant that is walking distance from Braid Skytrain station. I’m fortunate to live a short 10 minute walk away from Babs, so I usually stop by 1-2x a week for their delicious breakfast and Korean food.

The front of house staff member/manager (i think her name is Jane?) is really nice as well! 10/10 recommend Babs for those who live a short walk or drive away :)”

“I was in New West for a meeting, so after I was hungry. I had a choice, it was either McDonald's or across the street Jim's Cafe. I decided to give Jim's a try,and I'm sure glad I did. The atmosphere was great, service was wonderful and the food was just great!! To bad I live in North Vancouver, otherwise I would be at Jim's almost everyday. But I'll be there, for sure, next time I'm in New Westminster!! See you then!!!”

“While touring the area and sightseeing around the Fraser River, we found this lovely little café nearby. The soup and wraps were absolutely delicious. The chef was very courteous and friendly and even took the time to come out and explain the special ingredients he adds to his wraps, which are made fresh daily. That personal touch made the experience feel even more welcoming.
The server was also very friendly and attentive, checking back to make sure everything was okay despite how busy the café was.
The coffee, food to dessert was delicious, the service was fast, and the overall experience was wonderful. We’re so glad we stopped in and would definitely visit again.

The Pad Thai was full of flavour, and the green curry was rich, aromatic, and had a great level of spice. I ordered a bowl of pho with beef brisket and rice noodles, and it was rich and comforting. The broth was fragrant with warm notes of star anise and cinnamon, and it hit the spot on a chilly day. The noodles were cooked well and there was a generous amount in the bowl.”

“Hearing about this place sounds very interesting and I want to give this place a try. Had no idea it was already closing time and felt bad, but I really wanted a smoothie. However, I had a really great experience here. The young lady behind the counter was kind and did her best to help me even though it was past the closing time. You could tell she was in the middle of end-of-day cleanup, but she still stayed professional and made my smoothie with care.

I think people forget that workers are human beings and closing procedures are a real thing and that employees have their own lives. End-of-day rush is stressful and I don’t think it’s fair to judge someone’s whole character off one moment. The smoothie regardless was great, and I appreciated the effort and patience. I’ll definitely be back for more!”

“Pho Ace is so good!! It’s our favourite Vietnamese restaurant. Food is consistently delicious, their Pho is really good . This last time we ordered Grilled lemongrass Chicken & Pork and Grilled lemongrass Pork & Spring rolls(pictured ) Service is excellent, the server checked in several times, lots of quality checks and very polite. The AC is delightful.

I’m very picky, and my mom—born and raised in Korea—set a high bar for me, so I’m usually hesitant to order Korean food. Banchansu changed that. The flavors are authentic and delicious, and I look forward to every meal. The staff are caring and kind, too. Thank you for meals that taste like my mom’s cooking.”
