Alloz Grill may just be the single best place to get brunch in Vancouver. The place is run by a very wholesome filipino couple that clearly knows how to do things right. For just $16, you can get 2 eggs, a crazy amount of garlic fried rice, and perhaps the crispiest, juiciest pork belly (lechon) you’ll ever eat! My girlfriend got the beef tapa, which was just as much food and somehow even more flavourful! It’s a 45 min drive from my place on a busy day, but still, I might just be coming back every weekend for this. The photos speak for themselves. Highly recommend, easy 5/5.

Found this place a week ago after searching for tapsilog. I never really go to North Van and this is the only filipino restaurant I know of in North Van. We had the tapsilog of course, tosilog, and 1 combo with 2 sides and rice which were dinakdakan and sinigang. The only thing we liked was the tapsilog, the rest were not really that good. The prices were a bit too much. Overall, it was nice to try! Everyone’s taste is different!Btw they do charge $1 for napkins which I found odd and containers have a charge too which is understandable considering everyone in BC is doing so! Also, the reviews are a bit too harsh, the lady who served us was actually really nice and patient.

I was so excited to find a Filipino place on the North Shore. No longer have to cross the bridge for Filipino grub! This is a tiny store run by a couple. Very charming and personal service. It seems they have regulars who know them well. First of all I'm very excited they have breakfast items every day. I ordered a sweet pork (To Si-Log) with fried egg and garlic rice. Loved the flavour of the pork. The pork belly with pancit was spot on. The crispy pork belly reminds me a bit of a Cantonese roast pork - similar style of pork, fatty cut really juicy and with the Filipino flavour. The pancit was OK. Not bad but not as good as at Pampanga's. Note that this is not the same as Sisig though. I loved the garlic rice. Wonderful flavour. Fish was good too. I would definitely go back just because it is local and I love Filipino. Great couple who runs this place too.

Food was very tasty. We had the beef stew, mung bean, and half chicken?? Only reason for three stars on atmosphere is that it is small and setup mostly for takeout. So happy to have stumbled in this place as it is not easy to find Filipino food?

I was excited to learn there's a Filipino restaurant near to where I work. The menu looked agreeable and I have ordered once before today and was satisfied. Today is another story. I ordered from a third party delivery app (they were great, and I have no issues with them). My issue is with the value of the money I spent for my order. I understand inflation. But to spend $12 - $14 for a single serving of Sinigang, which is advertised as a "main" on the menu and only receive the smallest possible take-out container imaginable, is appalling. On top of that, the container was not packaged properly for take-out because the soup spilled on the way to my office, leaving a puddle of soup at the bottom of the bag, rendering the napkin I paid $1.00 for completely useless. When I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and confirm the size of the container, the woman who answered the phone became very defensive very quickly and interrupted me at every opportunity to make her point. Today's experience has turned me off this restaurant. They need to be more careful on how they treat their customers. The pen is mightier than the sword.

Absolutely delicious and unique menu. A go-to when looking for filipino food on the North Shore. So happy they're on Doordash.

We were going to order for pick up today December 15 for lunch but the girl who answer the phone is rude , she said that she doesn’t have time to explain to us what’s in the menu . Saying that she’s busy . If you’re busy you need to dealt with the costumer . Too bad 10 people want to order . But very dissapointed.

This restaurant was my first Filipino food in my life. I think it was the best choice. Amazing food!! My husband is afraid to try new foods. But today he said it was a good choice. You can feel happy energy in this restaurant. They are very kind and polite. I have already decided what menu to choose next. Thank you for the delicious food.
