Going to Kojo's our first time over 7 years ago was Stupendous. I have eaten Shashimi in some great places in SanDiego, Seattle, Vancouver and now Penticton. Kojo's I give you 6*s out of 5”

Loved the peach, cherry blossom and the funky camomile. The coyote was great too, plain great crisp regular style beer. The “weird beer” was so pretty and tasted great. They have games babble you can play too while sipping, great idea. Will be back.”

“First time here today and will be back! .. ​i asked for recommendations and ended up ordering their Beef and Broccoli—it did not disappoint! The beef was unbelievably tender, and the broccoli was fresh and vibrant with the perfect bite to it. The sauce was rich and flavorful without feeling heavy or overly salty like at a lot of other places.
​The staff made a fantastic first impression as well—super welcoming, quick to answer questions, and our food was served hot and surprisingly fast. Great portions, reasonable prices, and an overall wonderful first experience!!”

This place has history in the area. As the story goes, it used to be called Ruby Tuesday, with permission from the Rolling Stones' management to use the name, until an American restaurant chain of the same name challenged it. So they changed the name, and Ruby Blues was born.

Regardless of the name, they make fantastic wine. We even heard at another winery that every time you drive by, it seems like there's something fun going on down here. We ended up walking away with a few bottles, including a Viognier. It wasn't open for tasting, so we had to buy one to find out!”

“I’ve been coming to Just Pies for probably close to 10 years now, and it continues to be one of my must-stop places whenever I’m in Penticton.

What I appreciate most is the simplicity and quality of the ingredients. I feel good about what I’m buying here. They have such a great variety of breads, including low-carb, spelt, ancient grain, sourdough, coconut and gluten-free options, along with pies, tarts, turnovers, samosas and other baked goods. I especially appreciate that the pastries aren’t overly sweet and that there is such a strong focus on wholesome, organic ingredients.

The bakery itself is part of what makes it so special. It’s tucked away in the basement of a home and has such a genuine, grassroots feel nothing fancy or commercial, just good food made with care. After all these years, it’s a business I know and trust and am very happy to support.

Their public hours can be limited, so it’s worth checking before making a special trip, but their products can also be found at different locations throughout the Okanagan.

I’ve been happy with everything I’ve purchased over the years, and whenever I’m in Penticton, I make a point of stopping here. A wonderful little local business that has stood the test of time for me. Highly recommend!”

There are only 2 spaces nearby, and of course they were uccupied. I am a handicapped senior, and also have breathing difficulties. They were out of the wine that was a suggested pairing for the cornish hen piri piri I ordered but offered me a taste of 2 other wines before I chose a Chardonnay (a wine I don't usually like) to drink with it. It was all very delicious and my husband also enjoyed the duck with a wonderful Grenach. The deserts we ordered with a decaf americano finished off the dinner perfectly.
