“This place is one of our favorite place to eat. The food never disappoints. We usually get the mixed grilled Platter that comes with a chicken and lamb skewers and a big helping of pork gyros, pita bread, salad, Greek salad and a generous amount of fries. All for 38 bucks. They have a great selection of beers and wine. The service is top notch. Super friendly staff. This is a must go place.“
“God atmosphere, servers were great took a bit of time getting a menu but was early on the evening maybe they were just getting warmed up. Food was extremely tasty and well prepared, everything looked fresh. Greek salad was lacking a little salt, commercial tomatoes just don't have the flavour it needs. Only other comment would be the lamb chops, at $10 a pop minimum $20, as tasty as they were that's just not reasonable price. They were good but not $20 good for 2 small chops“
“Like everyone says, can be hard to find (but used GPS) and a hidden gem! Decor is nothing fancy but clean and comfy with excellent food and service! With 2 visits now, my family and I tried 5 different dishes and 2 kinds of soup, everything was delicious! I really enjoy the BLT on a bun, good quality bacon. “We phoned yesterday, made a reservation for a birthday dinner today at 5:30 PM, confirmed verbally on the phone. We showed up at 5:30 PM and they turned us away, saying they had no reservation. We showed them the phone number that we phoned yesterday to make the reservation. The phone number was on our phone, confirming that a phone call had been made. We recounted to them the conversation, including the discussion about the fact that it was a birthday and reminded them of the discussion about having a dessert with candles. Nobody recalled the conversation and we had to leave because they were fully booked. they tried to assert that our reservation had been for the previous day and that she even recalled serving a woman yesterday with the same name, a birthday.“

“Nammos is the best! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Don’t miss out on the Tirokafteri (whipped feta dip), or the Melitzana Imam (baked eggplant with feta foam). For the meat eaters, the roast lamb ‘Arni Psito’ is insane. Comes with the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. The cocktails are delicious. I love the Fraola (Strawberry Tequila sour).“
“Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. I was excited to try The Greek after seeing it on IG. My former favourite Greek restaurant, (Vlassis in Surrey), closed down and I have been looking for a new favourite moussaka since September. I think I may have finally found it! Their moussaka is excellent! It was flavourful, creamy, and rich with the perfect golden brown caramelization on top. I look forward to trying their other dishes. I didn't see any Greek ribs on the menu though, which was my other favourite dish from Vlassis. I think they are still new, so hopefully they will add ribs and more lamb dishes over time.“

“This place is a gem. I was recommended this place by a friend and it definitely did not disappoint. Greeted the moment I walked in the door by Johnny and he showed me to a table. Chloe our server was fantastic. Very knowledgeable of the menu and recommended a few options. I went with the roast lamb and by far the best I've had since being in Vancouver. I will be back to try other items as there was so much to choose from. The staff were super attentive and the atmosphere was relaxing. I also shared the chocolate mud cake and salted Carmel Gelato with a friend and we demolished them. Great value as well... cheaper than other greek restaurants I've been to and the portion sizes and quality of food were still amazing, especially in a city where everything is super expensive. All over 10/10.“
“My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We try to get to the restaurant several times a year and have always found the food delicious( my favorite is the Greek lamb chops, Padakonia(Speling?) and my wifes favorite is the garlic prawns. we also enjoy the saginasky (spelling). There is a good selection of both red and white wines If you have not eaten at Taverna Gorgona I would highly recommend you do so.“

“On Monday June 27th we stopped by about 1:00 pm to place an order for 12 people, for a 5:15 pm pickup. Amar was very helpful with menu suggestions and helping us decide how much of the different items would be needed. The order was ready to go at 5:15 as agreed. The food was beautifully prepared, fresh, flavourful and perfectly seasoned. Lamb and chicken were very moist. Prawns were perfectly cooked! This is a small but very busy restaurant with lots of locals coming in a constant stream plus takeaways and delivery drivers. This was a Tuesday night and it was extremely busy. So it is clearly very popular and i see why!! The food was fantastic and very authentic. The portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Great wine too. It was a small team but they were constantly at it. Such a slick operation and the service was faultless. A special shout out to John who was very funny. “I visited The Greek on a Friday night with a couple of my friends. We had an amazing time. The food was great, it was very tasty. Our server, Adam, was super nice and friendly. He was very delightful to talk to. I tried their sangria and for the main, I had Moussaka, which was very delicious. They also have great desserts. Their chocolate mousse was so good ? The waitress was on her own and run off her feet and was apologizing for the time it took to serve us but she got to us and was very helpful. “This restaurant/pub provides a great atmosphere. I enjoy how quiet it is during the day, and I’m really surprised there aren’t bigger crowds during the evening. It’s one of my go-to places, so I would be reluctant to share my “secret” spot if I wasn’t already moving out of Vancouver. Like most places these days, you will struggle to get a good meal for less than $25, but there are also some medium sized menu items like the pitas that make a decent lunch.“

“Went on a Greek food adventure and we ended up in Richmond so we visited Kisamos in Steveston village.We ordered the platter for two and when it arrived, it looked more like a platter for four! Great selection of deliciousness. It came with a huge portion of calamari, lasagna, pork and chicken souvlaki, meatballs, forget the names but a pastry with cheese and rice wrapped in a green leaf. The platter also included a generous portion of rice/potatoes, greek salad and pita.All for $60!Everything was delicious and we’ll definitely be coming back!Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult.“
