“We were looking for something local and fun after a day of hiking. Google found this hidden gem and what fun it was. It felt like we were in someones basement who had turned it into a place where all can hang. So many cider options, and the friendly young woman pouring and educating us could not have been a better ambassador. Even the locals who were enjoying a pint joined in on helping us decide what to go options we had. It was absolutely delicious and we will be back. Give this place a try, I am confident you not only will enjoy everything about it but will be back as well.”

Also, the owner is a multi-faceted business owner, so his relics and charming memorabilia from his other snowboard business decorate the place along with historic Squamish images and maps. “This is my kind of coffee shop. I truly enjoy a nice pour over coffee and this place has the best selection of beans. Some of the best I’ve ever had.
I’ve been here twice. The 2nd time, I had a good chat with the staff (owner?) working. He was super helpful and knowledgeable about the beans for sale. I bought 2 bags of beans and a locally made mug.

I appreciate that it’s not your typical busy, loud, crowded cafe. There’s plenty of other places like that around. There isn’t a huge selection of coffee options but the brewed coffee is GOOD.
I guess keep that in mind if you visit. It might not be the type of place you are looking for.
All that being said, I’m glad this place exists. I just wish they had an online store or that I lived closer.”

“Wow! I called one morning from Edmonton wanting to send my son in Squamish some donuts to his work for his birthday. The dude who helped me out was fantastic! A variety of donuts were delivered and he even wrote an engineering joke on the box! The joke and the donuts were a hit at Carbon Engineering that day. Service was over and above. Gold star for Sunflower❤️”

“Just a pro-tip for those visiting downtown Vancouver - there's a pop-up in the bottom floor of Bentall One off of Burrard Street. The guy was super nice, it's quite a quiet area too so you can grab a 6 pack and quickly pay.”

“Had a great experience at Freshslice Pizza! We ordered the veggie pizza and the cheese pizza, and both were fresh, hot, and really tasty. The crust was perfect and the toppings were generous.

“Our party of 5 had a variety of different offerings from the 3-course prix fixe menu and we weren't disappointed by any of them. I had the evening special of elk burger. Best burger I've had in years. The food and the service have both improved since the change in ownership a few years back, but the vibe and the ambiance are largely intact. We will go more often.”

“We always stop here every time we drive to Squamish. We tried something different today with the holiday menu and steak, and the usual pirate pack for kids. The holiday dish was actually very delicious and I’d say worth it! Meat was soft and practically melt in your mouth! It was made fresh and quick for me, the best part is it tasted awesome. At 8 bucks there is literally nothing negative I can say about this place. I'll be back!”

“Honestly, after finishing The Climb (Sea to Summit Trail), even a hot dog and bun would’ve tasted like a Michelin-star meal — but the food here was way above expectations. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich, and it was absolutely awesome. I was so hungry I demolished it in under five minutes.

We sat on the outdoor patio, overlooking the mountains and Howe Sound — unreal views, fresh air, total peace. After hiking up through mud, sweat, and rock, sitting there with good food and that view felt like a dream.

It’s one of those moments you don’t forget — the perfect reward after an intense climb. Highly recommend stopping here whether you hiked up or took the gondola — great food, epic views, unforgettable vibe.”

However, having to go to a different food location to order and pay for a coffee and then wait between 15 and 20 minutes for my food to be ready, was unacceptable. Cannot imagine how much longer the food would take when the place is busy.”
