“Stopped by unexpectedly on our route to a Penticton birthday getaway for my husband. We picked just the right time to visit! Since we were the only ones in there on a BEAUTIFUL Wednesday afternoon, my husband and I received the royal treatment from JD!He was able to take the time and explain, in detail, the different wines, processes, and techniques that make Haywire unique. JD even offered the local rewards program that we had no idea about! We definitely need to get out more... right here in our own backyard!Thank you for an excellent experience, wicked wine, and helping us celebrate my husbands birthday right by recommendation the Brandy! ... and the staff recommendation for the Wednesday chicken wings special in Penticton at the Black Antler Grill! We will definitely be back! Hopefully our car alarm won't keep going off next time ?“
“This winery stole my heart out of a the ones I went too! The place feels cozy, the ice cream is so good, but the wines are special and the service we got from Darlene was exceptional. She guided us through some recommendations based on our preferences and top sellers, but her personality is a lively warm embrace that welcomes you to the winery to create a unique tasting. I have never felt so relaxed and welcomed into winery until then. My only regret is I didn't buy enough wine, but I will definitely be back before my last bottle of strawberry rhubarb is empty!Thank you again Darlene and everyone at the Sleeping Giant“
“I just wanted to write a review since we just cracked open the Gamay Sparkling and it was spectacular, just like the day we first tried it. We visited back in July and had a wonderful and informative tasting (unfortunately we can't remember the name of the gentleman who helped us- he just moved here from Banff). There's a great selection of yummy wines and the property and building were gorgeous. Can't wait to go back!“
“Thank you so much to Roie and Ruth for a fun and entertaining tasting. Our BCWAS (British Columbia Wine Appreciation Society) members all agreed that your winery was among the favorites! We fell in love with so many of the wines, but a shout out to the 2018 Ensemble and Gewurz fizz as well as the Saignee... maybe because of the time of the year and it being warm, but these really stood out. And thanks for fitting 35 of us in your tasting room!“
“Last June went to Lunessence and, after a tasting and informative conversation, we bought a case of the Rose. Just had the final bottle now. ? Its price point is slightly higher than others in the Summerland/Naramata area but it is worth it. It is a magnificent wine. So, in summary, it is a lovely tasting venue, the owner is very gracious and the wine is exceptional.“
“Such a fun place to visit! Tongue-in-cheek labels. Good selection of wines: white, red, rose & bubbles as well as gifts for every wine lover on your list: tea towels, candles, magnets, door mats, T-shirts & more. In the summer you can get pizza and beer, but you need a membership to make reservations.“
“Rheinhessen Village of Dalsheim, only kilometres from the Rhine, is famous for winemaking since the Middle Ages and the beginning of the 8th Generation Winery. Inspired by the regional terroir and historic possibilities, Christian Schales planted his first vineyard in 1783 and started Weingut Schales. Fast forward to Bernd Schales and wife Stefanie whom directed a path over the pond and landed in the Okanagan in 2003. They purchased a small lot, grew grapes and produced for other wineries until they decided to acquire the Summerland acreage and facility to resume the Schales family legacy in Canada. I’ve visited the Mosel, Baden, Pfalz, Mittel-Rhein and Rheinhessen regions… these wines are distinctively and beautifully German inspired. — At 8th Generation Winery“
“Without a doubt, Daydreamer Wines holds a special place in my heart as the top winery in the Okanagan Valley.A visit to their tasting room is consistently a delightful experience, thanks to the warm hospitality of Adam, the retail manager, who is always eager to share his wealth of knowledge. The exceptional quality and complexity of the wines by winemaker Marcus Ansems never fail to impress me.Whenever I need a bottle to share with family and friends, I bring a bottle of Daydreamer.I always make a point to take all my guests visiting me in Naramata to this winery, as it has truly become a beloved local favourite!“
“Must see boutique winery in Penticton. Superb wine selection with some big Bordeau style reds and lovely Pinot Gris, you won't be dissapointed. We have been Black Book members for a few years and have always been very well advised by Eliana.“
“This was a tremendous experience. I had tasted the wine previously and knew they were some of my favourite but had not visited the winery. The tasting blew away my already high expectations. Ron and Tracy, the owners, provided everything we wanted in the tasting: knowledge about the wine, and wine making process, fun anecdotes and an overall welcoming, approachable, and unpretentious experience. The entire team were so welcoming and made this the best stop of our day. I brought a group of experienced winery goers and all were bowled over by our incredible time at the winery. I'll be returning and recommending not just the wines (best natural and sparkling in the province) but a must stop at the winery.“
