The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was friendly. A great spot if you’re craving ramen in Surrey!”

“UPDATE Shortly after posting I was contacted by the owner and he has generously offered to correct this for us. Great customer service and follow up! Thank you! We are frequent customers and love the food as a rule. We have come to expect great quality meals and terrific service from The Carvery. Unfortunately today we had a slightly different experience. Our sandwiches were delicious as usual but the mushroom soup had large chunks of unblended flour (roux) in the soup. At first we thought they were chunks of potato but then realized that was not the case. The taste and texture did not make for an appetizing bowl of soup as it was very flour heavy. I called the restaurant to let them know and the lady on the phone just said okay thanks for letting us know and made to hang up. Which is fine, but no offer to replace my 2 soups or anything. A little disappointed I admit. I am posting this just so that perhaps the staff can handle this differently in the future. We will still be back, they are hands down the best sandwich shop here!”

Again, our server was attentive & knowledgeable about the kitchen and made great recommendations. The kitchen was on WoW mode. The food was extremely well prepared. what was left we gleefully packed to go. Is it good value? The quality ingredients and care I the kitchen says YES. This well above your average Indian Kitchen. I know there are lots of Indian restaurants in Surrey but this one will take your taste-buds places. The food; feels, smells, looks & tastes authentically amazing. I always order the Spanish latte, both iced and hot depending on the mood, and it never disappoints. My wife swears by the white chocolate mocha with a pump of strawberry, a unique twist that turns it into pure delight.

What a game changer! They always had tax and deposit included in the prices. Suddenly their prices have been changed to not have tax and deposit. I am not sure why this was done. My spouse liked the Chicken Katsu a lot; the meat was tender but cooked properly. I'm vegetarian, and I really like their spin on a yam tempura roll. They had many vegetarian options, and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful when I needed help selecting items. If I had to give some constructive criticism, I would say:
1. The decor is a bit strange and disjointed. It feels more like a trendy coffee bar than a sushi spot.
2. Marking vegetarian options clearly is always helpful! Some places do this with a V, or with a leaf. You could also consider marking allergens like eggs or nuts.”

Aunty met us there and was immediately solution orientated while making sure we walked away with what we wanted without settling for less. There were a few other instances where we needed help and the entire team was so helpful in going above and beyond for our family. Everything was done with so much heart and intention, that we walked away from my brother’s wedding week with a full belly AND heart.
