Everything about this restaurant is great. Food, ambience, friendly and helpful service. I was cold and they raised the temperature. And it's quiet enough so you can have a conversation and not have to shout. You will love it. Thank you Akbar's Own. Not even subway construction can keep us away.
The service and food are amazing.Especially when dining in. The choices are wonderfully varied.Parking: The Broadway subway construction is hurting these businesses. We are happy to support Akbar.

Walked here from west Broadway with my 7 year old granddaughter for a dinner date. Some of the best Indian food in the city. Atmosphere was warm and inviting as was the service. Don’t be deterred by the mess of construction from the skytrain just outside. We took arbutus to 8th and then right onto maple then left on the sidewalk in front of the wawanesa that leads to the restaurant. Will most definitely be back.
