“Ok I am going to start off this review by being a little bit conceded so I apologize in advance. I am not going to say I'm an expert in smashburgers or burgers in general, but my Knowledge of such more than likely surpasses most that have or will walk through their doors. I have been making and obsessing over smashburgers myself for well over a decade. So I can say with the utmost confidence that these SO FAR are most certainly the best smashburgers in the city. Simple, great crust with some nice lacy edges while still remaining relatively juicy, house made mayo, American cheese and very well caramelized onions. I then talked to a man whom I would assume was the owner and he obviously has great confidence and love for his burgers. He explained that the beef is grass fed and grass finished from local farms, I only wished I asked the grind and fat content, between 25 and 30% is the sweet spot for me. But I digress, you can't go wrong with these burgs so go now and go often! Especially when they open their brick and mortar spot.Vegetarian options: Impossible for the veggie eaters out there. The only way to get go. Beyond kinda sucks.”
“Their Saturday Lunch Special was absolutely delicious! Fresh seafood, delicious pork hock and the broth was so rich in seafood flavour!!! Highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back!”

“Friendly staff and beautiful restaurant. Portions are smaller than what you would find in traditional Chinese restaurants, but as it is a very esthetic place, I think the portions are what you would expect there. The food is good though, I'm satisfied with it! The table waiting system is quite efficient!”

“This upscale restaurant has been overwhelmingly popular for the past few years and for good reason. It offers unpretentious and very welcoming service, creative plating, and some of the best food around. It's evident a lot of time and thinking go into the dishes. There is no generic sauce or ingredient that is used repeatedly through the tasting menu. Instead, each dish has its own distinct flavor profile and matching fresh ingredients. Their cocktails are also delicious. What really stands out in the experience dining here, even for fine dining restaurants, is their service. Everyone that I interacted with (5+) was just down to earth, friendly, and extremely patient and attentive. Though the restaurant gets busy, staff members take the time to make you feel constantly attended to and well cared for. The restaurant is also nicely decorated. Overall, Annalena should be at the top of your list if you're looking for a memorable fine dining experience in Vancouver.Vegetarian options: No vegetarian option.Parking: Lots of paid street parking within a short 3 minute walking distance.”
“What a great little secret! Amazing food at a fair price with great staff. I adore the sharing style and the menu is beautiful! I wish I saw a bit more port and wines but lovely none the less”

“This little spot is a hive of activity. Second Valentine's Day for my partner at this cracker of a restaurant. They have the sweetest staff, vibrant atmosphere. Serving the freshest, yummiest food. I have an iodine allergy (shell fish) the staff were excellent in keeping that in mind when ordering. Definitely worth repeat visits.Dietary restrictions: Allergies”
“The pinnacle of of good sushi. Miku Restaurant are the pioneers of Aburi Sushi in Canada a technique that uses a light flame sear on each piece done with Japanese Charcoal, it is delicious. They suggest not to use Soya Sauce which we didn't, the reason behind that is you can taste all the subtle flavors of each piece otherwise you would loose those from the powerful flavor from the Soya Sauce. We ordered alot, and everything was wonderful.”
“We had a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve and it was our first time there. Many thanks to general manager Jason, host William and our waiter Jomar for making it a memorable experience. Merry Christmas to you All!”

“March 25th we stopped in for a drink. Bartender was super cool authentic guy. He was actually running the show. Serving bartending like everything. He did a great job and earned this 5 stars.”
“The service is good and the waiter was kind and nice to us. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming. We also had to wait very little (15min) before getting a table for 7.”
“We tried the platter which was absolutely delicious. The taste of each item in the platter was different from the other and is above and beyond expectations. About biryani’s my personal favourite is vijaywada chicken biryani. The chicken is so well marinated and soft. And the biryani rice so amazing. I would love to visit this place again. Highly recommended for people who love biryani.”

“Had the chef's tasting menu and was impressed by the development of flavors and complexity from one course to the next. Was delighted for the Uni risotto and the aged duck. Wine pairing was worth it. Service from Larry was excellent, and the Soms were charismatic. Would definitely recommend!”

“Excellent food and service. Special note of the gracious person on the phone who explained their reservation system and dining options. Would be 5 stars, but the room is small, and the volume generated by the one large group the last time we were there made it impossible for us to have a normal level conversation. This was not our experience other times when seating was tables of 4 or less so we will be back.”

“Absolutely love this place, came here under the recommendation of good people and was not disappointed, dead rabbit was present this evening and knocked it out of the ball park. I love their brand and the servers there are top notch ! I will be back !!”
“It was kinda hard to relax with the staff trying to get you tf out of there asap with swift order taking, clearing the dishes, and bringing the bill. But I guess all ramen places operate in that manner. I would go back regardless because the ramen was one of the best in Vancouver. Also, the option for 12% tip on the card machine seems unheard of for a downtown restaurant.”
“We booked a table for our anniversary and we did enjoy our food there. Our menu consisted of a series of smaller plates, almost 7-8 in total if we count the pre-amuse amuse, the actual amuse and the post-desert, i.e. the mignardises (which I really enjoyed, especially the truffle-chocolate).Dishes were balanced and complex flavor-wise. I would have preferred the bread from the bread service to be a bit less sweet from that glaze and a bit more fluffy, it was quite dense.Since this is my 24th Michelin Star restaurant, I have to say that portion-wise, the entire meal in total was on the barely-enough-food side. I have rarely had this experience with restaurants of this caliber and I usually make fun of people who say that in fine dining portions are small, because for most degustation menus, you rarely leave a place hungry.Unfortunately, I left St. Laurence almost hungry. My delicious caramelized onion tart was barely a bite, my amazing pasta dish was barely two bites and my duck breast main had literally two tiny pieces of duck. Even for the bread service I was never asked if I want more than a tiny bun that was supposed to serve two.To compare French cuisine with French cuisine, at Le Bernardin, a three-star restaurant in the heart of NYC, the bread service is impeccable, the bread is of a higher quality all together, and you can have as much as you want. If you visit for lunch you get probably 3 times more food than St Laurence, for the same amount of money approx. So, while I enjoyed the flavors and the service was good, I really did leave the restaurant almost hungry, and while my palate was highly entertained I felt that the restaurant could afford to serve slightly bigger portions. In other words, I felt a bit cheated, as if I should be satisfied with less food because (insert a make-believe explanation here)Btw, we did add extras to our menu and still the food wasn't enough. Also, for a French restaurant the wine list is just unacceptable. Very few choices really. It will take me a while to visit for those reasons.”

“Thank you Angel for your considerate and enthusiastic service. We were very happy and satisfied to bring our Japanese friends to experience Chinese hot pot for the first time! Every time we need anything, Angel comes to help us immediately and then confirms that we are fine before continuing. We had a great time eating ?”
“Very cozy restaurant, I highly recommend the Bigoli Nero - the best tasting seafood pasta I've ever had. The staff provided friendly and excellent service too.”
“We've been here twice now. Beautiful interior space, delicious food, and attentive service. Our absolute favorite dishes are the carne cruda and the off menu omelette with king crab. Tajarin pasta is very unique and worth trying. We also had their daily special buckwheat tagliatelle which was quite delicious.A wonderful spot for date night! Be sure to make a reso in advance.”
“Such a cute spot for brunch! Lovely food and presentation. I started with a tequila Caesar and it was so good! I opted for the mushroom and loved it. The crispy oyster mushrooms were so tasty and I loved the sauces. Pricier than expected ($23) but the flavors were on point.”
“Excellent food all around, but crazy busy and service quite slow for a Monday eve. Had the west coast halibut that was scrumptious with a little crispness on the outside served with delicious mushrooms.”
“Oyster Bar was amazing.Food was amazing and fresh. Paella, Tuna tartar, and more. You can't miss the opportunity to make new memories for your palate and with some friends or family.Be ready to eat lots. And drink as much as you can drive home.”
“I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.”

“Everything was great. Werewolf drink was so effing delicious!! Never had anything like that before. Wine prices were too high. Room was very noisy. Hard to hear the waiter's description of the plates. Simple room treatment could solve this issue. Would recommend for sure!”
“Came here recently to celebrate our anniversary. Cozy restaurant with limited seating. Reservation highly recommended. All the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented using fresh, good quality ingredients. Service was very attentive. Our empty plates were taken right away and our tea cups were filled constantly. Fair price and good food selection. Had an enjoyable evening.”
“If you like food… vegan or not- this place is a must try!We decided to embrace the dining experience and loved the chef’s selections. The dishes met my expectations- were delicious and unique. Love the twist on ingredients. We will certainly be back on our necktie visit to BC!”

“If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience with a chill vibe in an intimate setting, this is the place! One of my favourite places!Love the ever-changing curated menus filled with seasonal delights! The food is incredible and always so beautifully plated. A treat for all the sense. The staff is also amazing! Their knowledge of the food and the wines truly makes the experience special each time! I was there last night and am already looking forward to my next visit!”

“Went with my friend the day before Valentine's Day for the tasting menu. Service was average, but kudos to the lovely hostess who acknowledged special request for our reservations, and wondering why the dining room servers not paying attention to details like the hostess. Overall the tasting menu was of average quality, nothing of vow factors comparing to my first dining experience years ago here. In particular, the main course European Sea Bass was quite dry, and not sure why it was complemented with chickpeas and salsa like sauces, not quite the chemistry! We have asked the bus boy for taking our picture, but he said he would ask our server who showed up only when serving us the 3 courses, and at the end, the bus boy took the picture for us. Yes, we completed the 3 courses and the pictures, but we both didn't feel completed with a good dining experience!”

“I've walked by this place numerous times and there was always a line out the door with a 45+ minute wait.I should've bought a lottery ticket this morning because there wasn't a line and I was seated immediately. About 5 minutes after being seated, the crowd arrived and the line out the door was more than 20 people long. The staff was nice, friendly and very professional.Though everyone says to order their waffles, I opted for the Sandwich au Roti de Boeuf (braised short ribs sandwich). The braised ribs, arugula and sunny side up egg were like a symphony of flavor.Their mocha is rich, smooth and creamy, exactly what you'd expect when using beans from 49th Parallel Coffee.Definitely recommend.”
“Its been 8 years since I moved to Canada and not been enjoying eating outside due to the quality of service.I met a lot of unqualified staff in many other restaurants. But Peppino has not only great foods but also all their staffs were amazing. Their serving was super professional and make us feel comfortable. There was quite long waiting until we got seated, we got one free appitizer dish for compensation.Foods were amazing. However pizza was just ok. I don't know what happened to the dough, seemed under proofed. Pasta was perfect, fries and main dishes were great. Definitely wanna visit again.”
“By far the best restaurant on the North shore! The food is delicious and service is impeccable. All staff go above and beyond to ensure a excellent dining experience! Highly recommend this place to everyone.”

24 Hour Restaurants
“Hi it's been pleasure to go Denny’s Canada. I have been working in hospitality industry so I choose quality services and good staffing. I noticed one of the staff name “Prakriti “. Th service she have given was quite respectful. Thank you for all the good hard work and keep it up!”
“New peri peri burger is great. Totally something different and new. Restaurant was clean and staff was great. Simran, Bhrahm and sagar thanks for the service would visit again.”
“We visit late and this location is really fast paced. Very fresh pizzas and build your own pizza is very well made.Parking: Behind are complimentary parking, street parking in front are complimentary too depending on the time of the day.”
“This place is clutch! Open 24 hours, affordable price and tasty to boot??! Take my money! One slice is 3.25, two slices are 6.50 and 2 slices with a drink will only cost you less than 8 bucks. An absolute steal. They heat up the slices for you so it's piping hot. There are no soggy bottoms here and the crust is the perfect middle child of thin and original. Not too thin and not too thick. The marinara sauce is just a bit sweet so it marries well with all your toppings and cheese. I got pepperoni both times and the edges of the pepperoni were delightfully crisp. We were really impressed and thankful for this place during our stay. The cheapest eat during our entire visit, but just as satisfying as our other pricy restaurants. My toxic trait is thinking I should get pizza at 4 in the morn before real breakfast at 6am. And with this place, I can!!”
“Seeing the stories of others who also fall victim to crypto investment scam tears me out badly. I remembered when I was in that same situation it wasn't really easy for me, but I was lucky enough to find my way to Helen Stamford who was so patient with me to explain all that happened and immediately she swing into action and recovered my lost funds to me. If you can provide receipt to all your transactions, you can recover your money. Email: helenstamford5@g mail. com she is a life saver.”
“Love there food..I took pav bhaji as takeout.. and I am impressed with the quantity. And even quality is good..They even give away kheer which I presume is visakhi prashad..”
“Sayaka was absolutely lovely! Even on a busy night, she greeted me with a smile and offered suggestions for things to order. I felt, warm, welcomed and appreciated for being a customer. Amazing customer service!”
“Staff is really amazing especially the management people looked really active in handling all the situations well. Food and atmosphere were perfect for a Saturday lunch. ?”
“Our dosas were crispy, delicious and presented without any fanfare; the flavours told the story. It was quiet but the waiter and cook made us feel welcome and relaxed. Thank you, we are coming back as soon as possible!”
“Update: I would like to apologize for the error of my ways l. I had misunderstood the $1.20 charge on my beverage was for upsizing to size large.I always receive amazing service at Breka, but the owners should reconsider gouging their customers on their $1.00 cup fee - especially when 20% of the time the take-out cups leak. Not cool, Breka”
“Got a Tiramisu cake (4-6 persons) for the 5 of us for dessert after dinner. Yummy and even the next day it still tasted good (have leftover because we have 3 desserts altogether!). Next time must try their ”
“It was really a wonderful experience I never give rating to any stores. But this one I know I had to give it because of the service that they provided. The lady who worked in the morning shift on 26th I don't know how to thank her. Well the food is also so good here. Must Visit place for sure. And also thank you for adding a note of Birthday wishes.”
“Ordered online and had a good experience. It was easy to order from the app, the sandwich was made quickly and accurately and they left a free cookie in the bag. Thanks for the nice touch! Will come back again.”
“Gurinder He works in morning, He's caring and makes nice sandwiches.Gurinder keep up the great work and He's amazing asset for this location, Management Should be proud ??!”

Takeout Restaurants
“My wife tried Mr. Shawarma on Robson last night and after she offered me a bite I had to go back and order one for myself - so good! As well, the personal touch and friendly vibe of the chef and team made my whole trip downtown feel worth it. I will build a trip to Mr. Shawarma into my downtown trips from now on!”

“I’ve always liked Chambar and this experience doesn’t disappoint. It was the 20th year anniversary 3 course menu with 2004 price, which is such a great deal nowadays. I know this year has been difficult for many restaurants and those Michelin star restaurants probably took the spotlights, but to be honest, after going to several those restaurants and being disappointed over and over again, it makes me appreciate an OG restaurant like Chambar so much. Its service quality, attention to details, and taste of food really make it last. Thanks so much for a great meal and I hope to come back many more times in the years to come!”
“Fantastic service and delicious French food. We were warmly greeted by the hostess Sophia at the door, she offered to change us to a window seat for better ambiance which was thoughtful of her. Our server Alexandre was super attentive and friendly as well. We ordered the escargot, scallops, rack of lamb, duck confit special, and foie gras duo (not pictured). The dishes came out in timely manner and were full of flavour. The escargot was one of the best I’ve ever had. Scallops were big and juicy, lamb was perfect medium rare and not gamey at all. Honestly I’d choose the duck breast on the menu over the duck confit special next time, as the legs were a little dry, but the marinated oranges on the puff pastry were really good. At the end we were given complimentary sorbet for our special occasion. I booked this reservation over a month ago, and it did not disappoint!”
“Fresh Pizza, Affordable Price. Great Window seating and Table seating available. Super friendly staff and Very Clean Store! Came twice in the last two days and coming tomorrow as well!”
“It was my first time eating here. We ordered Pad thai and spring rolls and it was so tasty. There are spicy and non-spicy options for Pad Thai. I tried both and they were delicious!!And spring rolls were also great. The surface was crispy and making an amazing pair with sweet chili sauce!!”
“Simply put, no one is doing it like Magari. The food, the ambiance, the STAFF!!! Everything is the best you’ll ever get. Can’t say enough good things about this place. If you haven’t gone yet, what are you waiting for!”
“Service and food was beyond expectations. The fried chicken really is one of the best I’ve ever had. The dry egg noodles was very good too, dry at first until you mix the sauce around. It could use more shrimp though. Service was very kind and food came out extremely quick.”
“Best baklavas and middle eastern pastries I've ever had. I bought all these treats and i finished them in two sittings - there was no way I could stop. They are so tasty and addictive, but they're not oily nor are they overly sweet like traditional baklava.Part of me is glad that they are not close to me because otherwise I would go every day. They're THAT good. And the customer service is amazing, that's something that can't be ignored. I don't think I'll ever go to a better middle eastern bakery here in Vancouver.”
“very nice seating and location. staff very nice, great food.Vegetarian options: many options for vegetariansKid-friendliness: very good for kids, good food and drink options”
“If you are like me and growing up in a household with “traditional, slow cooked, 12 hours on the stove” kinda’ dishes were just another regular Tuesday night dinner, you know those flavours and dishes are almost impossible to find elsewhere. La Tana has managed to create the same flavours, dishes and love that I remember so dearly sharing with my family around the table. Thank you La Tana”
“Good Momos, great service, fun atmosphere, just be prepared to wait a bit for your food. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but it just seemed to be be missing a touch of ”
“There’s always a looong line waiting to get in the place. I waited 30 min this time. I ordered the classic with all standard. It was ok but I think I will try the thick broth next time as it didn’t taste that flavorful to me.”
“Probably the best Japanese ramen place in UBC area. Honestly soup is too salty for me, but that’s just me I guess. They recently updated their recipes and taste even better. Highly recommend!”
“Nammos is the best! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Don’t miss out on the Tirokafteri (whipped feta dip), or the Melitzana Imam (baked eggplant with feta foam). For the meat eaters, the roast lamb ‘Arni Psito’ is insane. Comes with the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. The cocktails are delicious. I love the Fraola (Strawberry Tequila sour).”

“I went here for my birthday and the food was amazing. We had calamari to start, o had the rack of lamb and my partner had the duck. For dessert we couldn’t decide so we got the salted caramel crème brûlée and the chocolate soufflé. The server was so attentive in filling my wine, brought out a complimentary dessert and were visited by the chef to check in. Would definitely go back!”
“The White Spot Dunsmuir provides wonderful meals! The personnel were quite friendly! The setting is nice! This is perfect place for any celebration with friends and family.”
“The staff at this location are amazing! They really take the time to get to know all of the regulars names and are always so pleasant to deal with. They make the start of my work day amazing!”
“You have to fire the girl working there on the weekends. The guy working there on the weekdays is excellent. Couple weeks back I ordered nuttin better and she messed up the ingredients, I think she put too less milk and too less wow butter; it tasted like water. I told her about it and she made me another one with an attitude. She purposely messed up this one by putting too much wow butter. Strongest peanut butter tasting nuttin better I've had in my life. Again I ordered nuttin better today (saturday) and I can tell she didn't follow the recipe, but not as bad the first experience I had with her. I don't know what's so hard about following a recipe; every other booster juice employee can do it. And her attitude is intolerable. Please fire her; otherwise you will lose my business on the weekends. My name on the app: Kundran. The guy who works there on the weekdays flawlessly follows the recipe. Now probably won't buy there on the weekends.”
“Beef soup was so delicious!!! It also comes with noodles which is a bonus!!!! We already tried most of the spicy flavours so we decided to get the bbq (갈비) flavour, sweet, smoky & crispy!! it is definitely an A+! Never had a bad experience with them! Yujin was very friendly & welcoming, she made sure we are attended, amazing! They also do delivery!”
“This location is way way better and staff are very nice and friendly regardless of being a "fast food restaurant" I like buddy burgers, they get the job done ? and you do not have to wait 30 minutes like other locations. Can't find a parking?Park on the south side eastbound 49th plenty of them.”
“My daughter and I popped into Bar One after a day filled with errands as she was craving Denny's shredded hash browns. We ended up having the Bar One side all to ourselves and had the dedicated attention of Claudia who went above and beyond with menu recommendations. She took the time to get to know us and share a bit of her Canadian travel stories.Claudia was delightful. We'll be back just to see her and find out how her trip to the island was!”
“Good drinks. Good food. Location is awesome, there is parking depending on the time of day that you want to come in.There is lots of odds and ends, and cute stuff for sale here.Their set up and displays are very nice.Overall everything is good, just wished that they don't increase prices for everything in such a short time frame.”
“I have to bring my dad to VGH 2-5 times a week for appointments but during this time, I’m not allowed in. So every morning I go for a walk that ends at this Starbucks for a treat. The staff has been so friendly and amazing during this crazy time of COVID-19. They’ve even gotten to know my face :)”
“Everytime my family and I go to eat at this restaurant we are welcomed with such amazing staff. Our waitress Stacey is so professional and wonderful. Takes care of us so much. Never any complaints. Good job WhiteSpot. Way to go Anu and Gavin ”
“It’s healthy, fruity, slushy and satisfying for a $9 iced juiced. I am fan of this franchise because it is naturally made without sugar, with a good quality cup. We had a strawberry sunshine for our 5km walk and it was delicious!Vegetarian options: Almost everything there is vegy friendlyDietary restrictions: Fruit relatedParking: Its close to the skytrain station so parking is difficult outside.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“Nothing different about Starbucks. Usually very kind baristas. I don't do food for lack of vegan options. There's no more excuse to not offer something useful. That's a huge fail for Starbucks.Vegetarian options: Need to offer vegan options other than apples. It's appalling how there are no vegan baked goods.”
“Great place to meet friends. Very friendly and warm service. The only thing that bothers me is the coffee smoke inside the store, which makes me feel lacking fresh air. Can the ventilation system work a bit ”
“Ian is the best Starbucks employee I’ve ever come across. He’s so friendly, energized and brightened my morning. I wish there were more people in the customer service industry like him! <3”
“I agree that the cake decorator here was AMAZING and the cake turned out so beautiful! The whole cake and frosting was a beautiful color. I was desperate to find a Dairy Queen that had a cake printer after another location said theirs broke (and didn't tell me until after 1-2 days) and being short on time I scored all around trying to find a Dairy Queen that would at the given time. Most of the stores didn't pick up the phone / didn't respond in time / hung up and didn't call back / didn't had a printer. I called this location and the guy easily said they can do it, no stress on the phone.I loved the little details they put on the cake, I would have loved to meet the decorator.I would definitely order from them again!!! Thank you!”
“Absolutely love this place, came here under the recommendation of good people and was not disappointed, dead rabbit was present this evening and knocked it out of the ball park. I love their brand and the servers there are top notch ! I will be back !!”

“We just had a fantastic dinner at Nirvana’s new location on Victoria at 49 Ave. Very tasty food and super friendly hosts. The food is really Indian not Canadian/Indian. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, everything was delish. Highly recommend a visit.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian choices.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to climb, no door sill to get over. Parking on the street or behind the restaurant.”

Cafe Medina
Fine Dining
“Phenomenal food. We both got the chef’s tasting menu & everything was very well thought and executed to the littlest details. We were served by Max & Andrew, both of whom must be passionate about what they do from what we could tell. My guess is that if you’re into delicious food, you’ll find your way to Suyo’s door.”
“Always a lovely time and such yummy food!! I highly recommend the duck entree! The atmosphere is also fantastic, the pianist is incredible. Been here two times and both times Franklin took amazing care of me and my partner!! Delivering top notch service!I HIGHLY recommend requesting Franklin as your server when coming in!! He’ll make sure you have an incredible time no matter the occasion! Thank you for such lovely experiences!”
“The 3 course lunch menu is excellent. Each course is so beautifully plated as well as delicious. Service is always very good. Staff are friendly and so efficient. Highly recommend this place.”
“Elisa is the new baby of the Toptable group. Located in Yaletown and across the street from sister restaurant Blue water, Elisa is the premier steak restaurant in town but also has great seafood dishes such as the succulent roasted sea scallops or local oysters. Don’t miss the steak at Elisa, which is always delicious no matter what your budget is.”
“It was my first time at this place, and of course I was very curious and with great expectations, as it is Michelin-starred restaurant. The food is definitely worth the rating: each course has a surprising taste, recipes are inventive and I can tell there is research on how to pair the ingredients, in order to create unexpected flavours. I was a bit disappointed by the ambience; it is really tiny, only high chairs are available, and you basically dine elbow-to-elbow with stranger: there would be nothing bad with that, if the price rate was not the same, if not higher, than other similarly rated and much more comfortable restaurants. Watching the cooks preparing the meal was fun, but, once at home, all my clothes smelled of deep fried oil (to be 100% honest, smell was absolutely not an issue during the meal, I only noticed it when going home). For these reasons, I cannot give 5 starts: I am very happy I tried it, but I am not sure I would go again for these prices, given the large choice of high level restaurants in Vancouver.”
“We had a very nice night at Arike. The food was excellent and wines were perfectly paired. Don't sleep on this spot if you want excellent, unique food in Vancouver! The service was also good.Room for improvement:I think the atmosphere is lacking a bit. There is something cold and empty about it (both literally and metaphorically). A heavy velvet curtain to keep the heat in along the large window and a change of lighting may do this place wonders. Also the seating need to be a bit cozier.”
“Came for happy hour and ordered oysters and drinks after a long shift at work. Kevin the bartender and Tim the manager really made us feel welcomed and had such a good time with them. Definitely coming back !”
“One of the best places to dine in Vancouver.Intimate, cosy with a great wine list. I've dined here more than a few times since they open and my last visit was by far the best. As the menu often rotates, it's always a great surprise each time.Dishes are heavily Asian influence, and the menu always includes a crowd favorite, the turnip soup. Although I feel like the portion of my last visit got a bit smaller, it didn't take away the incredible moment of sipping on the creamy (but with no dairy) deep turnip soup.Another outstanding plate during this visit was this onion and tuna dish. That onion alone stole the show. It was sweet, tender and every layer tasted different from the one before.Lastly wow the Charentais melon ice cream was the perfect way to cap the dinner. Same melon, done 4 ways. Could also use a bigger portion as the happiness dissolved in my mouth quite quickly.Wine pairing is highly suggested as the folks there are genuine enthusiasts and are great fun and hold a lot of knowledge.Sit by the bar if you can to watch chef Justin Song Ell create magic.”
“The food, specifically NewYork steak, lobster, baked potato and vegetables, were all amazing and the service was no different. I took my mom there for a nice fancy dinner and neither of us were disappointed at all. The server was very friendly and polite which made for a fantastic dining experience. Without a doubt we will be going back again. Oh ya, and the cheese bread there is a must try, absolutely delicious. Enjoy!”
“Absolutely unmatched food and service. Probably one of the best examples of food, service and care ever received. The staff outdid themselves, going over and above the call to ensure that our visit was exceptional with personal and attentive care throughout our meal and at all levels. We are not easily awed and the food as well as the service were without question 'awesome'. The food was fantastic from start to finish with every nuance and flourish designed with thought and care to further enhance the amazing flavors being presented. Thanks to the staff, from Table to Chef, for such a wonderful experience.”
“Excellent food and service but was incredibly loud for a couples date night. They graciously moved us to a less noisy area but of course it's disrupting. The price could also be more competitive outside of that a wonderful experience.”
“This was an amazing experience and meal. I’ve been to some of the best Omakase in NYC and SF but this was the best. Each course was unique and extremely thoughtful. Chef Jin and his wife were also a pleasure to talk to and genuinely great people.”
“The food was amazing! Delicious pasta, exceptional pizza. But prices are insane, I know this is pricey restaurant but cannot justify them. Staff was ok, not very helpful. My friend had serious dietary restrictions, they didn't really know what are the ingredients in the meals. Also, tables are too close to each other to my comfort. The man on the neighbor table kept bothering us.”
“Excellent dining experience. High quality fish and service. I had the omakase dinner and the variety of dishes and sushi was very good! Thank you so much for a wonderful dinner Tetsu Sushi Bar!”
“We came here for my sister’s birthday and I’m so happy that we did, wonderful hospitality and costumer service could not ask for anything more. The food was delicious no complaints at all! I would not understand any of the others reviews saying they had “bad service” everything was perfect felt super comfortable by everything. Thank you so much Hamid & Tina.”

“If you like food… vegan or not- this place is a must try!We decided to embrace the dining experience and loved the chef’s selections. The dishes met my expectations- were delicious and unique. Love the twist on ingredients. We will certainly be back on our necktie visit to BC!”
Cheap Eats
“Incredible care and tastes in all foods and very attentive staff. For being so busy and limited with space it was a great experience and they did everything to accommodate and make any patron feel valued.”
“First time in this place and will definitely come back. I love bubble tea and i can’t believe I didn’t try this place before! i always struggle to find good dairy free milk tea options, let alone one with cream! Loved to see they also have To Live For and Bonus Bakery baked goods. My non-vegan boyfriend usually doesn’t love the flavour of plant-based milk but loved his drink too.Nuttea offers fresh tapioca pearls and real fruit in the smoothies, smooth slightly savory plant-based cream, amazing overall flavour and excellent service. 5/5 for me ?Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options (drinks and bakery)Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free options (drinks and bakery)”
“This review is for the potsticker dumplings and the wonton and BBQ pork fried rice. Coming from Japan and really loving the vibe of the place, my partner seemed to have a found love for the food. She said the potsticker dumplings were some of the best she’s ever had in Vancouver and I would agree. She loved the wonton which I’ve always described as a style of wonton that was the de rigueur before the shrimp wontons came from Hong Kong in the eighties. The old school home made style Cantonese flavours are ever present here in their Chinese food. It’s one of my favourites which is getting harder and harder to find these days. Now if they decide to make that old style Wok hey flavoured minced beef and rice with fried egg. I’ll tell everyone all over again to get that! (But it’s not in the menu). Maybe they’ll add it to the menu? Anyways, I was happy that I introduced a new fan to the Northern Cafe and more happy that I got their special hot sauce! And yes, I do agree that when Yelp said they were number one. They still are!”
“Omg, if you’re on the fence about grabbing tacos here, just DO IT! Great service, amazing food, we have lived in Vancouver for 11 years and wish we had found this sooner. Would highly ”
“Great selection of drinks and my favorite place for bubble waffle! Got the osthmanthus milk tea and it's delicious, love how there are drinks that incorporates special elements that you don't see in other bubble tea stores ”
“Ordered hot snow onion chicken for takeout, and it’s so nice. Crunchy outside, juicy inside and it blended well with the onions. Not too spicy for me and it’s a quick order since there weren’t not many people inside. The server, Kim Hoon, was friendly as well. Would recommend this place to everyone!”
“I'm from Sydney and found this ramen place from Google maps. Also have lived in a ramen suburb for nearly a year in Japan, so my taste buds are well acquainted with the true ramen.Ordered Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen. Soup has the right balance of richness, body to it. Noodles are on the thicker side (as shown in one of the photos). The soup has more of the seaweed flavour as some other reviewers described, so it has a distinct character to it.Chashu uses the right fatty cut so it very soft and tender, not like some places where they use lean cuts.Bamboo shoots are also fresh.Perhaps the egg yolk can be slightly more runnier but I can't ask for anything more. I inhaled the entire bowl of noodes, slurped up all the soup in 15 minutes. This place is definitely worth repeats. If they can do a seemingly plain tonkotsu Shoyu ramen that well, every bowl will satisfy you!Thank you so much for bringing this perfect bowl of ramen.”
“Delicious food! Best tantan noodles (Dan Dan noodles)!! Mix tan tan noodles up since sauce is at bottom. Nice spicy peanut flavour! Also recommend the cumin lamb chow main (with blade cut noodles).”
“I am a huge fan of fish and chips. This place becomes one of my favorite.I ordered cod n chip + clam chowder. If you are used to creamy chowder then you might not like it. Fish is very good and fries are excellent. This place beats all the one in Richmond BC.Deep fried foods are all greasy but at least after eating their fish & chips, it doesn’t make me feel I have a scoop of oil inside my mouth.”
“Delicious pastries and coffee! They are very friendly and kind. The cardamom in the qotab was devine! Barbari bread was also fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Hey there , I went to fresh slice pizza today, I met with a guy name Jatin who is working there , I appreciate this guy because the way he works too good and he respect us , he gives us good deals and we ate pizza from there it’s too good and so tasty . I recommend to everyone please visit here because of food , ( specially Jatin is too good ) atmosphere, food .”
“Technically a restaurant but really designed for takeout. The food is good but don't plan on any atmosphere, sake or beer. Very affordable, good value. Dragon Roll, salmon & tuna sashimi were my favorites. Unagi was ok.”
“After a walk around Stanley Park we went here for a bite. It's nice that they had a vegan option which is the vegetable medley as long as you have it without the gravy but you can top it off with peas. They also have a berry pie if opting for dessert or a vegan sweet pie.”
“The food is halal, which is not common in Vancouver. And the quantity and taste was better than you would expect around there. Would definitely eat again!Vegetarian options: There are many Keto and Vegetarian options just like there was meat options.”
“Good Momos, great service, fun atmosphere, just be prepared to wait a bit for your food. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but it just seemed to be be missing a touch of ”
“Probably the best Japanese ramen place in UBC area. Honestly soup is too salty for me, but that’s just me I guess. They recently updated their recipes and taste even better. Highly recommend!”
“I ate at Zarak last night for the first time and I was blown away. Every Single Dish was spectacular!!! The portions were generous, the flavours are like nothing I have ever experienced and the cocktails... Run don't Walk to Zarak. Special mention: The service was great. All the staff were attentive, informative and happy. What a treat. I will be back!”
“Service and food was beyond expectations. The fried chicken really is one of the best I’ve ever had. The dry egg noodles was very good too, dry at first until you mix the sauce around. It could use more shrimp though. Service was very kind and food came out extremely quick.”
“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. The chef was away for a while, on his return we visited and it was brilliant as usual. I have never been disappointed only always impressed beyond my expectations. Welcome back Chef Han!”
“This place is a cultural experience in itself!!! I love so many things about this place, simple and amazing flavours of the food to the cute mini sandwich board they put on your table for the specials of the night. All the servers take part in taking care of all the tables, they are friendly warm and inviting! Highly recommended!!”
“"From the moment I stepped into Tayla Thai, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and authenticity. The restaurant's elegant decor and inviting ambiance set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The menu boasted a delightful array of Thai dishes, each expertly crafted with fresh, flavorful ingredients that transported my taste buds to Thailand. I savored every bite of their Pad Thai, which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tanginess and spice. The friendly and attentive staff made me feel like a valued guest, ensuring that every aspect of my meal was impeccable. Tayla Thai is a true gem, offering exceptional cuisine and hospitality that keeps me coming back for more. I can't recommend it highly enough!"”
“Went last Friday and the hostess did her absolute best to try and find a table that fit my party. Even though we had two people come late she was super accommodating and provided excellent service. Everyone on that shift was super polite and kind!”
“A very well-priced and portioned kbbq place. The service is regularly exceptional and the cuts are high quality and tender. I recommend large groups and families visit for a night out as it's a great place.”

Le Crocodile
“Literally my favourite place to eat downtown. I probably go 3 times a month, easy.Everything is good, but my standouts are the bun cha, wings, trifecta rice, and the bbq pork bahn mi. My partner is vegetarian and she has lots to choose from, really lives the pho. Sometimes they have DJs!”
“I had my birthday here yesterday for the second year in a row and the food is always absolutely delicious. I could bathe in the muhammara, everything I've tried is flavourful and authentic. Not only is the food excellent, but the family who run this place are very friendly, social, attentive and welcoming. I live in Chilliwack and love coming here with my family when I'm in town, I miss the flavours, spices and aromatics when I have to go back home. Highly recommend!”
“My favourite place in Vancouver forever, I was married to a Persian for a couple years, and the only good thing about him. It was his culture, I adore Persian cuisine and has become part of my life. This place really brings up the best of the history of the cuisine at its finest! I absolutely adore the staff and the food it’s made with love.”

Kissa Tanto
“We've been here twice now. Beautiful interior space, delicious food, and attentive service. Our absolute favorite dishes are the carne cruda and the off menu omelette with king crab. Tajarin pasta is very unique and worth trying. We also had their daily special buckwheat tagliatelle which was quite delicious.A wonderful spot for date night! Be sure to make a reso in advance.”

Momo Sushi
“Tucked away near the Steamworks, Momo sushi was surprising both in quality and price. The restaurant itself is one level but has stairs sloping down to the kitchen due to the building itself. The food was good and was delivered quickly by attentive servers who are friendly and efficient. It does get busy during peak hours but you will not regret having a quick bite here.”

Nightingale
“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. I wish I lived in Vancouver because I would frequent Nightingale weekly. Service was prompt and they were consistently keeping the drinks flowing.”
“The most authentic Thai restaurant in Vancouver, IMO! Love everything from the restaurant vibe, decor, food, staff and service. Highly recommend their tom yum soup and their alcohol/wine selection is exceptional.”
“Simply put, no one is doing it like Magari. The food, the ambiance, the STAFF!!! Everything is the best you’ll ever get. Can’t say enough good things about this place. If you haven’t gone yet, what are you waiting for!”
“Came here March 2nd after a Whitecaps game. Had the burger of the month (with bacon/BBQ sauce) which was pretty good. Loud ambience, as expected of a sports bar.Shoutout to the staff and manager that night for going the extra mile. I had a corporate discount, and while the staff didn't recognize the specific discount immediately, they went out of their way to accommodate. Much appreciated!”

Anh And Chi
“There was always a line, so I went around opening time. The staff, especially the staff at the bar, were very friendly! The food was delicious too! It's a little more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurants, but I think it's worth considering.”
“We met some friends here for a meal and the food was really good, I had the Lasagna which was superb, and the pizza was the best we had in Vancouver, the staff were fantastic and even though it was busy, the atmosphere felt intimate. It would be a great place for a romantic meal if that's what you want too.”
“The food is excellent. If you want a quiet dining experience book for 5pm, after 6:30 it can get rowdy. I do have a gripe though, if the meat and chicken are halaal and the venue serves alcohol, then it should not be designated a halaal restaurant. I've experienced this at two so called restaurants recently. State our meat is halaal and not that it is a halaal establishment.”

Noah's Cafe
“Amazing quality, presentation of food, prepared by the best talent in the city. Outstanding service with elegant drinks and cocktails complimentary to the food dish selection on the menu. staff is very friendly. hands down one of the best places in Vancouver to spend a evening.”
“Stumbled upon this gem quite by accident just off Stanley Park. Great drink and food. With super recommendations by our server Lucas who was very knowledgeable and great craic.”
“The service was phenomenal. From the moment we sat down, the owner came and sat down next to us and gave us the run down of the menu and the top picks. The service was fast, the staff were friendly and the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!The biscuits are a hit and we will definitely be coming back!”

Burdock & Co
“If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience with a chill vibe in an intimate setting, this is the place! One of my favourite places!Love the ever-changing curated menus filled with seasonal delights! The food is incredible and always so beautifully plated. A treat for all the sense. The staff is also amazing! Their knowledge of the food and the wines truly makes the experience special each time! I was there last night and am already looking forward to my next visit!”

“This food, so fresh and delicious! I have never had Lebanese food before and was absolutely delighted at what I ate. My mouth and tummy are so happy! I have been visiting Vancouver for 6 nights now, and this is the freshest, most flavorful and beautiful food I have had. The service was absolutely lovely as well. Must eat here!”
“Cilantro Indian Cuisine Vancouver - Highly Recommended We went to this restaurant today for dinner and the food was amazingly tasty. I have tried other Indian restaurants in Surrey, Burnaby and Vancouver but there is no comparison in the taste. The service was outstanding in cozy atmosphere with Indian music in the background. We had Paneer Karahi with Garlic Naan and Veg Biryani. It felt like pure Indian taste. Would definitely love to visit again !”
“Had japchae, and sooda half classic, and all in all food was delish, so was ambiance and service. However they do not give you a refill on the kimchi which is the not so cool part of a Korean Restaurant. They charge 2.99 for extra side plate of kimchi. All in all good experience, will come back if I can't find another Korean Restaurant open in Gas Town.”
“We love JOEY restaurants. This location is our favourite. Delicious food and best made drinks. Atmosphere is amazing & staff is so kind. Wonderful experience every time.”
“Great food, the owner comes around to every table asking how everything was. His passion is cooking and the restaurant has been around for forty years. Nice interior, open and child friendly.”
“The 3 course lunch menu is excellent. Each course is so beautifully plated as well as delicious. Service is always very good. Staff are friendly and so efficient. Highly recommend this place.”
“Kozak was recommended by a recent immigrant from Ukraine as being very authentic. It sure seemed like it, with wonderful, satisfying food in a very nice atmosphere. We had sourdough bread, wild boar pierogis, potato pierogis, UA beer, kvass and Napoleon cake, all of which were excellent! It was also a relief to express my feelings toward Putler. Nice touch.”
Enjoy!”
“Fresh pasta, tiramisu, coffee… Everything is perfect. Warm and family welcome. Your croissant that I ate for lunch was very delicious. I will come back before leaving for Quebec. Grazie.”
“We absolutely enjoyed the vegan foraged mushrooms and vegan Yaletown sunshine pizzas! Really great taste with a chewy base and they weren't shy with the toppings! 10/10 will have again!”
“Indulge your taste buds with the great food here. The food is tasty, authentic and service is top notch. From Pasta, burgers to momos, chhoela and butter chicken to Biryani, you are covered for all your cravings. Must try, you won’t be disappointed.”

Temaki Sushi
“Enjoyed the $16 maki lunch special (3 rolls + miso soup), nice ambiance and I like that they don't use disposable chopsticks or the plastic grass often found in sushi ”
“I've never been in India, but this place feels like a very traditional Indian restaurant. The food is great and the environment feels authentic. I recommend the vegetable ”
“I can see why Michelin recognized this restaurant.Food:The food is incredible and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend the pakoras to start off. All the dishes we ordered were yummy and generous portions (we had lamb madras and butter chicken). There are lots of GF options on the menu too.Atmosphere:I liked that we could easily carry on a conversation—it’s not noisy. I thought our server and host were very friendly too.Location:Great location in Kits and very accessible by public transit.”
“From the moment my colleagues and I decided to host our company off-site gathering at Carlino in Vancouver, I had high expectations, and I'm delighted to say they were not just met, but surpassed. The ambiance of Carlino offers a warm embrace, with its elegantly arranged seating and the comforting glow of the fireplace where I had the pleasure of dining. This cozy spot by the fire became the stage for an unforgettable evening filled with culinary delights, laughter, and exceptional service. The food was nothing short of wonderful, each dish artfully presented and bursting with flavors that speak of the chef's skill and the kitchen's commitment to quality ingredients. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience with each perfectly paired sip. What truly set this experience apart were our servers, Georgio and Sara. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine interest in ensuring we had the best time made our gathering feel personal and special. Georgio's recommendations were spot-on, leading us through a culinary journey that excited the palate, while Sara's attentive service ensured our glasses were never empty and our spirits high.In summary, Carlino not only served as a fantastic venue for our company off-site but also provided an experience that will be cherished and talked about for a long time. The combination of exquisite food, an inviting atmosphere, and stellar service from Georgio and Sara made our night memorable. I highly recommend Carlino to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Vancouver. Whether for a corporate event, a special occasion, or a casual night out, Carlino is a choice that will not disappoint.”
“Great food. Lovely place. The people who work there are really nice. I love the biryani and Karachi. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a tasty south Asian food.”
“Visiting Vancouver for a business conference and this was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had anywhere. The atmosphere was relaxed, the prices were affordable, portions were plenty and the food was out of this world. Great flavours, friendly staff, impeccable service, I can’t say enough. If you’re in Vancouver make plans to dine at Spicy 6!”

“They treated us like royalty, when I made the reservation I had said it was my wife and I's wedding anniversary and as soon as we arrived they were on top of it, free champagne and very capable and intuitive service. Very friendly and outgoing but not smothering or annoying. They were there when needed but gone when they were not so that I could enjoy a private, romantic evening with the love of my life, the food was delicious and the drinks were perfect , all in all it was a wonderful and memorable night and I would recommend to anyone looking for a top of the line dining experience when it comes to not only grade "A" cuisine ,but service second to none that I have had the pleasure of receiving thus far! Thank you Glowbal ..... Mick & Darlene Ryan”

“They deserve every star! Nero is the perfect choice for a first date, coworker get together, catching up with a friend or even just going on your own to get some mindfulness time! It is always one I recommend when visiting Vancouver since you can’t go wrong! Their breakfast is amazing especially the eggs Benedict, and the portions are a great size! this is the Vancouver version of Demetres (a popular Toronto dessert restaurant).”

“Great food and service!!! Authentic taste of Vietnam you can find nearby English Bay. We ordered grilled pork spring rolls, No19 (grilled pork and prawns with rice) and Pho with briskets. All great!”
“What a little gem of a place. The adorable waitresses were on it, and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious maybe a little pricey but hey that's vancouver these days.”
“Excellent food and service but was incredibly loud for a couples date night. They graciously moved us to a less noisy area but of course it's disrupting. The price could also be more competitive outside of that a wonderful experience.”
“February 10th, 2023 was such a tiring day. I had classes at UCW till late and, as a good hungry taurine, I had to eat something delicious to make me feel well. Also, it had to be mandatorily vegan, so I would also keep my mind in peace. While searching for a restaurant with vegan options, I saw this sushi one, called Cofu Pressed Sushi. It was not far from UCW Vancouver House (around 15 minutes by bus) and it would be open till 9:00 PM. So, I decided to go there. I called my husband and we met there. The restaurant is not that large, and they have just a few tables, just the way I like it. But the best, in my opinion, was that it was so clean, fragrant, and decorated with such a good neatness that I felt a cozy mood as soon as I entered. Nevertheless, we were very well welcomed by the server, and he explained the whole menu to us. Besides they former factors I mentioned, the latter is the most important in my opinion. The way I am hosted and treated in any commercial place makes the whole difference in my final perception. I took the Aichi combo from the Omakase Menu. This combo had plant-based tuna (made of jackfruit), tofu, avocado, fresh mix veggie, and a sauce made of vivid beets and spicy mayo. As for my husband, he chose the Ofu combo. It had plant-based salmon (made of carrot and konjac), pumpkin, eggplant, red & yellow bell pepper, and a sauce made of cilantro, cucumber, and wild carrot. As the picture shows, the dish presentations were so beautiful, showing the food as something delicate, that the sushi master really took care of it. Last, but not least, the taste. It was so delicious! Every bite mattered to me. I was hungry, but I took every sushi slowly to feel all flavours and had the best sensory experience. For some the amount of food may look little, but I guarantee it made me fill satisfied. As a whole, I felt really delighted and I wish to return there soon to order the other options.”
“This was my first experience in this restaurant and I truly loved the food. I used to try Persian restaurant usually in North Van or downtown but this one is also amazing. I tried mixed wrap and Ghormeh Sabzi stew with saffron rice. I liked both of them, so tasty. The staff were so friendly which also made me feel more comfortable.”
“Came for happy hour and ordered oysters and drinks after a long shift at work. Kevin the bartender and Tim the manager really made us feel welcomed and had such a good time with them. Definitely coming back !”
“Nice place as it was well lit, ambiance is good for family and spacious. Food was delicious and service was great. Staff were accomodating and friendly. Overall experience was great and will be back for sure. Thank you.”
“I was invited for a wedding dinner and I was also doubling up as the Photographer. Great place and ambience for photography. Food tasted great. Service was a bit slow. Food price is a bit on the expensive side being a Street Food style restaurant.”
“Had Fantastic service our waiter Darshil was very nice and polite always came by asking how the food was and if he could help with anything else. We got our food and drinks really fast. We definitely will be going back all of the food was amazing!.”

“Great variety of Izakaya cuisine! Restaurant is trendy and packed with energy, enthusiastic and happy staff. Reasonable prices and very freshly prepared food. A must try...!!!”
“We phoned yesterday, made a reservation for a birthday dinner today at 5:30 PM, confirmed verbally on the phone. We showed up at 5:30 PM and they turned us away, saying they had no reservation. We showed them the phone number that we phoned yesterday to make the reservation. The phone number was on our phone, confirming that a phone call had been made. We recounted to them the conversation, including the discussion about the fact that it was a birthday and reminded them of the discussion about having a dessert with candles. Nobody recalled the conversation and we had to leave because they were fully booked. they tried to assert that our reservation had been for the previous day and that she even recalled serving a woman yesterday with the same name, a birthday.”
“Awesome local spot! Rare to have a place that serves both Korean and Japanese food and both are good! They are very friendly and make you feel at home.I just had the hamachi shabushabu tonight - lots of fresh hamachi with veggies cooked at the table in soup, then they bring rice and egg afterwards to make a rice soup to end the meal with. Delicious!!!”

“Wish I knew about this bar sooner it was instantly my favourite bar when i walked through the door. The Brickhouse offers an ambiance that effortlessly combines the nostalgic charm of classic pub games with the welcoming warmth of a beloved local bar. While the pool table, dartboard, and vintage Pac-Man machine stand ready for friendly competition, it's the bar itself and the delightful Irish bartender who truly define the experience. Though I havent met the famous Leo yet, the warm, funny, charming Irish bartender I met filled the bar with his engaging conversation and quick friendly service. I'd return just for the service but the bar its self is a cozy work of art. Everyone was so friendly it felt like an oasis from the regular Vancouver vibe. It felt like visiting old family. The Brickhouse isn't just a place to grab a drink; it's a haven where every visit feels like coming home to old friends, with laughter and stories flowing as freely as the perfectly poured drinks. Cheers to the Brickhouse, I'll see you there soon!”
“Well it was quite apparent the wonderful friendly owner of this place was no where to be found today. I went in around 2 pm for a quick bite and ordered a sandwich. The gentleman serving me has served me before but today he was heavily distracted in conversation with a female employee. He asked me at three different times what sandwich I was having and three times I requested cheddar cheese. Once baked I requested lettuce, extra tomato ( he put two pieces) so I requested more. Then he put two pieces of cuc and two pieces, yes pieces of red onion. Of coarse I requested more of each. He continued engrossed in his conversation with his co-worker. I kinda chuckled at my pathetic sandwich waiting to be wrapped which he proceeded to do. Then he pressed it down and left it on the counter, cooling and flat to continue his conversation with his co-worker. Thirty seconds later he rang in the purchase and left the sandwich outta my reach..... I had to intrude under the sacred plexi-glass barrier, to grab it and go....... first time I happily did not leave a tip....... When the boss is away.......well you know!!!☹️”
“Oh, heaven forbid you miss out on our fresh and delicious sandwiches, prepared by a tall, hot sandwich-making prodigy. And just in case the front parking is full, don't fret, we've got the luxurious back parking option. It's practically a sandwich-lover's paradise here, where breakfast and lunch are absolute winners.”
“I loved this place! The cheese tteokbokki was so good and they were perfectly chewy. The sauce wasn't too spicy so it was easy to enjoy. The dish is packed with rice cakes and fish cakes and loaded with cheese on top! I would have liked it if the cheese was more melted but it was still delicious. The soy garlic chicken was also juicy and crispy.”
“The beautiful ladies at this location have shown me immense kindness today. My energetic 5 year old spilled his chocolate milk. Without me asking, they helped me move my kids and food to another table and insisted on cleaning up the milk for me. Then they gave me a new chocolate milk! My 2 year old then dropped her granola bar and cried. They brought her another one, again without me asking. To say this restaurant is family friendly is an understatement. Definitely different quality than other A&W. Always quality food and very clean.Kid-friendliness: The ladies working today clearly understand the kid struggle and were so kind. Replaced my kid's dropped milk and cleaned up our mess with such kindness.”
“I come to this a&w everyday for lunch and my favorite part about it is the people who work there, gagan manpreet ranvir and manseerat they are always tending to my needs and making delicious food quickly as my lunch breaks are limited. Shoutout to them!”
“Went here on a recommendation from friends. Tried stir fried noodles, scallion pancake, sui mai and XLB. Also tried the ginger beef from friends.Everything was good. The problem with living in Vancouver is that the Chinese in this city and top tier. I would put everything we had here just a notch below some of the other top dumpling and noodle spots in the city.Maybe I need to try some other items and chance my review but for the meantime it’s a 4/5 for me. Service was excellent.”
“When I say this place it amazing.... It is amazing. We stayed down in Vancouver for a couple days, and after finding this place the first night we were staying, I went there almost every day for the rest of the trip. Everyone there is so nice, and works very hard. The crunchy garlic wrap is, just the most amazing wrap, I've ever had. 1000000% will be back, every time I am in Vancouver, I will make the extra effort to go there.”
“The store looked a bit busy today yet the service was prompt as usual and the taste was quite good. Despite a big rush of customers the taste was not compromised. Just wow.”
“I throughly enjoyed the deep fried dumplings, the presentation was absolutely stunning and tasted even better. DK has revamped there menu, and it does not disappoint! Can't wait to go back and try more items on the new menu.”

“Wonderful dinner. We started with a selection of fresh oysters on the half shell. My wife enjoyed the seafood linguine, and I had the NY strip. Generous portions of seafood in the linguine, the shrimp, and scallops were huge. My steak was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth flavourful. We finished the meal with coffee and Pavlova for dessert.Good value for the cost.”
“Food was decent highlights were the thick fries and steak char(chicago style), nothing standout, place was very busy. Service wasn't great. Drinks were ok. Classic steakhouse. Not cheap for what you get, not much ”
“The cake is quite nice . Taste a bit to sweet side. Fresh made by pre-order cake bottom still as crispy after few days ?Parking: Probably need to park on other street and walk back to restaurants”
“We came for the happy hour. Great view and impeccable service. Compared to other HH deals the portions could be a bit more generous and the beer selection is limited to 2. We’ll be back for the full menu when we have an occasion to celebrate.”
“The calamaro yes O, was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. It was grilled humboldt squid, spicy puttanesca, pea shoots, chopped olive. Absolutely fantastic. Like, I wanna go back and have it again. Great service, nice private dining area. Great food! Highly recommend.”
“We went for high tea. They currently have the theme of Griffin’s Gambit. The restaurant had chess pieces spread out to remind you of the theme. Every sandwich, scone, pastry and chocolate was delicious. Go for a special afternoon!”
“If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!”
“I've always liked Tableau. This time, we visited with a vegetarian friend and were surprised by how delicious their vegetarian options were. They don't have a lot of vegetarian options, but what they do have is really good.”
“This is my first time in this location, and I am satisfied with everything compared to my previous visit to another location. It is located on the second floor, and it is a considerable location. I visited on my BD, and I was served an undeniable ice cream cake.”
“we went and stayed at the Parq Vancouver and we went to Honey Salt each day for food and amazing cocktails! the staff was so friendly and the Bar head manager was so kind and friendly. I recommend everyone visit . also the 11 layer banana/chocolate cake is to die for! also try the Korean chicken bites!”
“Food and service are exceptionally good. Servers are all so friendly and welcoming. The prices are affordable and of good value. Food presentation is also eye catching and makes you water your mouth just by the looking at it. Washroom needs some TLC but aside from that everything checks out great.”
“Came here for a friend's birthday celebration. As we wanted to try as many different food as possible, we ordered all our food for sharing. This restaurant, though looks a bit fancy, serves in a casual way. It would serve the food in the order in which they were ready. In our case, the steak and the ravioli came first, and the oysters came last. Lol.Among the food we ordered, the best is the steak, second is the oysters and mussels (it's a tie), third is the ravioli and fourth is the calamari. The mixed seafood grill is the last. Why? The seafood was a bit dry and the presentation was quite messy don't you think? We ordered a few glasses of wine by glass, which the menu does not offer too many choices. But those Chardonnay that they have are quite nice. 6oz is about $11-13, and 9oz is about $13-15. Not too bad.The ambience and the service are both pretty good. It would be even better if we didn't visit on a rainy day. I'm sure the ocean view in a good day would highly complement the overall dining experience.”
“Great place, top food and excellent service. Laurie was exceptionally good with her service, gave some great recommendations on food and also on local attractions.”
“Dinning room is very nice and has fantastic water views. Service was good. I had the artic char and it was very nice others in the group had steak and were far from satisfied, meat was cooked OK buy was full of gristle.”
“We normally love The Keg, but our experience last night wasn’t the best. Ryan, our server was good but the meal itself, wasn’t up to Keg standards in our eyes. The appys were fine but the wedge salad had virtually no tomatoes or bacon! Our filet was very rare instead of medium rare- we usually share but it was too underdone for me. And.. there’s nothing like a Keg baked potato, they’re usually piping hot and always soft inside. Our butter couldn’t even melt the first one was so cool, they did bring us a second one that was slightly warmer but far from hot.Not the best experience and considering the $200+ price tag pre tip- somewhat of a disappointing experience. Not sure we’ll be back to the Alberni location.”

“Great food and service!!! Authentic taste of Vietnam you can find nearby English Bay. We ordered grilled pork spring rolls, No19 (grilled pork and prawns with rice) and Pho with briskets. All great!”
“Appetizer appreciation post! I came to try a few appetizers, ordered more than I should, and can't wait to go back again! Service was perfect! Super friendly and very quick! Prices seem high for veggies but this is the age we live in! Located in the heart of the west end, finally a place that appeals to the crowds! I got the Veggie Spring roll (Carrot, taro, mushroom, vermicelli, tofu, bean) and this is something you all need to try. Perfectly crispy, flavoured with the fresh veg, and the sauce works so well! Then the Spicy Crispy Cauliflower (Cauliflower, peanut, sesame sauce with housemade Korean spicy sauce). I would pass in this. The cauliflower was huge but the batter didn't stick well and the sauce was mid. You must get the Lemongrass Crispy Tofu (Garlic, chili, tofu, soybean floss, lemongrass). They were so flavourful and the perfect amount of garlic and chilli. I don't recall what the soybean floss was, but whatever it was, this dish was delish! Lastly I got the Wok Fried Brussel Sprouts (Wok fried brussel sprouts with housemade sauce). The sauce caramelized in the perfectly cooked Brussels. Kind of sweet, kind of salty. Very melt in your mouth! I cannot stress how happy I am this place is here and I look forward to going back!”
“The burger is delicious, just very overpriced. (Particularly for a smash burger.) Cost to value wise I wouldn’t be able to justify ordering food here again unfortunately.”
“My husband and I had a great time at this new place Shoku. It's a cozy place with a friendly vibe that made us feel right at home. We really liked the simple yet stylish decor. The service was quick and the staff were so nice. It's a fun spot for a casual date night or to hang out with friends. We'll be back for sure!”
“This restaurant is tucked in the middle of an industrial area so it's quite hidden, but the food is delicious! Classic HK style breakfast, creamy scrambled eggs and best of all a crispy shell pineapple bun that's soft on the inside. No need to go to Richmond anymore for Lido, this restaurant kills the pineapple bun with butter!”
“Never thought I would rate so high a burger place opened until 5.30am. Delivery usually takes an hour to be delivered via Ubereats, and we're always pleasantly surprised --> burgers are gooooood!!! If we need to order late, Burger Bae never disappoint. Been ordering multiple times .... will continue to do so.”
“Had the chef's tasting menu and was impressed by the development of flavors and complexity from one course to the next. Was delighted for the Uni risotto and the aged duck. Wine pairing was worth it. Service from Larry was excellent, and the Soms were charismatic. Would definitely recommend!”
