Stopped by for a beer and some food. I ordered their Juniper Lime Sour. I think this is one of the best sours around. I had to order another. Great flavour and refreshing. They serve sandwiches. I ordered their Muffalata Sando. Wow what a treat. I definitely will be coming back to try others. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. I recommend this place to go for great beer and food.

The patio on a sunny day is exactly what you want. The neighborhood is vibrant and they have a diverse selection of beers, including a good stout and a good porter which can be challenging to find as the weather heats up.On top of their in-house food offerings, this place is across the street from Downlow Chicken Shack, and Uprising Breads is just next foor, both of which can be enjoyed at their outdoor tables.Beer 5/5Patio 5/5Indoor space 4/5 (it's just a little dark)In house food offerings 3.8 (some of the portions are a little small, but all are pretty tasty. None are bad, but none of them knocked my socks off)Will be coming back a few times this summer to enjoy their patio and try a few more of their beers.Sorry, I forgot to take the picture until after I was done the chickpea (3.5 stars out of five) dip.

Server wasn’t great. Tonight I ordered an IPA, and she brought a pale ale hoping I wouldn’t notice. When I asked about it she said “oh we ran out of IPA”. She didn’t check with me what my preferred alternative would be and just decided for me.

Tons of variety/selection of their house brews. Great atmosphere, not too loud like other breweries can be (a plus for someone who gets over stimulated!). Friendly staff and great overall atmosphere

Urgent warning. Anyone with East Van Brewing product. This week we had 2 cans at our home explode for absolutely no warning or reason while on our shelves in pantry. They were not frozen or change in temperature. We had 10 different micro brewery suppliers on the shelf none exploded but 2 East Van products did. We didn't realize for 5 days and now our nice custom wooden cabinetry is damaged from beer soaking into no laminized parts of our pantry.We'll never bring this brewery's product inside our home and suggest you don't either. I'm sure others are being affected by this problem as not just one of their cans did this but two and 30 other cans had no issues from other breweriea.

Went on a slow Sunday night. This was our first time here and it felt like the server did not care to attend to us at all. I won’t be going back, and would not recommend.

Update: cheaper lagers! Great beer. Chill vibes. Awesome hang out spot and staff. Always reccomend a visit when in the area.
The guy who served us at the time was awesome! The atmosphere is chill and spacious. Fantastic beer as well!

My dad and I met to have drinks and dinner here. It took 15 minutes to get a beer. We ended up asking for the bill after waiting for so long. We honestly should have walked out. The server didn’t bother to come to our table because cleaning upstairs was more important. On top of that the people next to us had the iPad babysitter on full blast - at a brewery on a Saturday night - they also brought their own outside food which smelt disgusting. Needless to say, we won’t be back. Don’t waste your time.
