I moved into a room in the Ivanhoe hotel which is above the pub in August of 2022. On one or two nights per week they have live music in the pub and although I don't drink I did occasionally come down to listen. There are some pretty talented people, playing good music to a genuienly well received and well behavied crowd. I'd never been in here before but thought to give it a go. Everyone was really nice; an ecclectic and multicultural community. It's a chilled out venue, no pretences - and the staff are friendly & welcoming. The interior decor gave me From Dusk Til Dawn vibes - in all the best ways. Will deffo be back!

I like Tuesday night Kimeroake. Karaoke with Kim, as well as other hosts. A lot of regulars and growing. Karaoke is a recent event and seems to be attracting more people. I've been a regular here since the 80s. A good place to shoot some pool or watch sports. Come as you are, there's a place for you here. Go Hoeing tonight!
